"It's Christmas Eve, you know what that means?" Lily said jumping excitedly.

"Yes, Lils. I know what it means." I rolled my eyes trying to play it cool but on the inside I was shaking like a chihuahua after it had a bath. "I honestly can't wait."

"At what time did Sirius said that he was going to be in the common room?"

"6 o'clock on the dot. I have like 4 hours left and here I am talking to you in your dorm." I laughed and looked at the bag that I brought with me.

"Well, stop yapping and take a shower or something. The girls and I will have everything set by the time you're back." Lily handed me a towel, shampoo and conditioner, soap and a pair of her pajamas. I looked at her weirdly. "You are not walking around in a towel in the dead of winter. If you catch a cold, Sirius will probably kill us in our sleep."

"Now hurry up, we're wasting valuable time." Marlene pushed me out of her room and locked the door. I shook my head laughing and rolled my eyes. I wonder how Sirius is dealing with my brother.

-Sirius POV-

"So Pads, what do you plan on doing?" James asked.

"Probably hit Honeydukes and buy her sweets, then Zonko's and finally the Three Broomsticks. Why?"

"You're joking right? Tell me you're joking." Peter said.

"Why? What's wrong?"I asked opening my trunk and pulling out clothes. "I plan on buying everything, by the way."

"One, she won't let you. Two, that's my sister Padfoot. She deserves more than a normal stroll to Zonko's and a warm butterbeer. She deserves to be spoiled rotten." James hit me in the head and pulled out some random clothes from my trunk. "Wear this and you're welcome."

"James, leave him alone. Padfoot will do what he thinks is right. Jade is a simple girl. She'll love whatever Sirius does for their date. He's not taking her to the Tea Shop or anything like that so calm down." Remus threw a book at James which missed him by a few inches.

I sighed and sat down on the floor holding my face in my hands. What am I gonna do?

-Jade's POV-

"MCKINNON OPEN THE DOOR"

"ARE YOU DRESSED?"

"YES NOW OPEN UP BEFORE I BREAK THIS DOOR DOWN!"

Marlene opened the door with a slight terrified look on her face.

"There's no need to be violent."

"I know, but I wanted to. Potter household habits, sorry." I shrugged and sat on Lily's bed.

"You know, sometimes I forget that you and James are related." Dorcas sat behind me and started to dry my hair. "Lils, you're in charge of makeup. Marls and I will take care of the hair and somebody wake up Alice from her nap."

"I got it." I grabbed a hairbrush and threw it towards her bed.

"The hell? Dammit Jade!"

"Hi, Alice. Love you too." I smiled and she gave me the bird.

"It's today?" I nodded. "What time?"

"Six on the dot." Lily answered for me.

"Hand me a brush. We need to hurry up. You have three and a half hours left and we need Sirius to drool an ocean when he sees you." Alice grabbed a makeup brush from Lily's bag and inspected my face. "Glasses or not?"

"Kinda like Frank drools whenever he sees you? And definitely glasses since he goes wild whenever she wears them." Marlene smirked at a blushing Alice. "When will you two start dating? We already have Hogwart's powercouple here in the making."

"Powercouple?" I asked looking back at her.

"Yes. Everybody envies you two. I wouldn't be surprised if the faculty has a bet going around for when will the two of you start dating. I wish I would've come up with that idea before he actually asked you. I would've won easily." Lily shrugged and grabbed my face putting on some blush.

The five of us spent the last few hours laughing, dancing and Lily struggling to put on my makeup because I refused to sit still for 5 seconds.

"Gorgeous! Honestly Jade, stop being so beautiful. You're killing me here." Alice laughed and handed me my clothes. "Thirty minutes left."

My hands suddenly started to shake and I was getting anxious by the second. I gave Lily a look and she sighed holding my face.

"Stop it, Jade. You look beautiful and Sirius is going to lose his balance at the sight of you. He doesn't care what you look like. You could look like a mountain troll just rolled out of bed and he'll say that you're the most beautiful girl he's ever seen. Calm down, okay? It's only Sirius and you. Nobody else. I'll see to it personally that your toerag of a brother doesn't follow you to Hogsmeade." She wiped the slight tears that were forming in my eyes and helped me get dressed.

"Everything will be fine, Jade. Just trust him. You look amazing." Dorcas smiled and handed me my gloves.

"It's not that. What if after the date he decides that he doesn't like me anymore." I looked at the floor. Lily and Marlene scoffed as Alice forced me to sit down on Lily's trunk.

"He's seen you with morning breath and looking like a mess. He's seen you running to the Great Hall looking like a hot mess and he still said that you were the most beautiful girl he's ever seen. Sirius has always treated you like a queen since first year. I've seen you two in the courtyard and I gotta say, I get jealous. Why? Because I want somebody to look at me the way that Sirius looks at you. He looks at you with such admiration that I consider it a miracle that James hasn't killed him yet. Now get your shit together because there's five minutes left and you don't have your shoes on." Alice scolded me. "Somebody tell me if he's already waiting."

"On it." Dorcas left the room and came back two minutes later. "He's there. I think James is threatening him again"

"Dammit not again." Marlene and Alice left the room and suddenly I heard both of them yelling at James."

"POTTER! LEAVE THE POOR BOY ALONE"

"MAKE ME!"

"I'LL MAKE YOU ALRIGHT! DON'T FUCKING TEST ME JAMES POTTER!"

"ALICE AND MARLENE, CALM DOWN!"

"MAKE ME, LUPIN. SIRIUS STOP SHAKING AND FIX YOUR SHIT!"

Lily, Dorcas and I looked at the door surprised as Alice and Marls walked back inside.

"What the hell are you looking at us like that? Move your ass, there's only a minute left." Lily and Alice grabbed me and pushed me towards the stairs.

"Here she is! Looks like a goddess, we know. Sirius stop drooling, Potter stop glaring at Sirius, Remus control the toera and Peter, you keep being you. Okay? Okay. You're welcome and have fun." Lily kissed my cheek and left with Alice right behind her.

"What just happened?" Peter asked.

"Lily being Lily." Remus shrugged and hit Sirius on the back making him snap back to reality.

"You look amazing, sunshine. Just, wow!" I blushed as Sirius tried to find the correct words.

"You don't look to bad yourself, Siri. Now let's go, I want to go to honeydukes and hit the Three Broomsticks before it gets too crowded." I grabbed his arm and smiled at him.

"I told you." I heard Remus whisper to James.

"Shut up, Moony. You're killing the moment." I heard James whisper back. "You look beautiful as always, little sister. Now, I want her back here before midnight, here's the cloak just in case Filch wants to give some Christmas detention. Sirius, treat her right and we won't have a problem. If a hair is missing from her head, I'll kill you. Understood?"

"James, stop with the threats. They don't suit you. I'm better at them." I rolled my eyes and nudge Sirius' arm as we left the common room. "Now, let's go to Hogsmeade."

"Lead the way, sweetheart." I saw a flash and smirked knowing that one of the girls probably took the picture.

...

"Where to first?"

"I was thinking Honeydukes but if you want to go somewhere else that's completely fine." Sirius said nervously. He's so cute when he's nervous.

"Padfoot, calm down. Honeydukes is more than okay. You're never this nervous. What's up?" I held his hand and scooted closer to him since the cold was getting to me a bit.

"James said a few things to me and I don't know. I just want this to go perfect, I guess." He sighed and looked down.

"Sirius, we could've just taken a walk through the forest and that would've been more than enough for me. Don't listen to my brother, okay? He think he knows what I like. He thinks I'm this perfect princess that always wants to be spoiled rotten but I'm far from that. You know this. Now stop stressing and let's go eat sweets until our teeth rot." I grabbed his hand again and ran towards Honeydukes with him laughing behind me.

After about an hour of us running around and eating sweets, we left with two bags filled for us and the boys.

"Zonkos? Or the Three Broomsticks?"

"You've had me at Zonko's, Padfoot."

"You know, we still haven't given you a nickname." Sirius shrugged.

"To be fair, James and Peter don't have one yet." I shrugged also and started to search for more dung bombs. "We're running out of bombs and exploding quills."

"What's the female of a fox?"

"A Vixen." I grabbed a couple of quills and color bombs while Sirius grabbed dung bombs. I took one and inspected it. "Maybe we can hex these to increase the stink ratio. Filch will never know what hit him."

"Then that's it! We'll call you Vixen or Vix. Do you like it?" Sirius asked me smiling. I shook my head laughing as I placed our items in the counter.

"I love it, Pads."

"Vix and Pads. It has a ring to it don't you think?" He took out his wallet and paid despite my protests.

"Whatever you say, Padfoot. Whatever you say. Now let's go to the three Broomsticks. I want butterbeer." Sirius grabbed my hand and we walked towards the three Broomsticks. On the way, I stopped at random moments to look at the lights and stars. I saw a flash and immediately turned around. "Did you just-"

"I did. Moments like this deserve to be photographed. Don't ask how I snuck the camera." He laughed and grabbed my hand and we entered The Three Broomsticks.

"Good evening, Sirius and Jade."

"Good evening, Madame." We said in unison.

"The usual table?" We nodded and she escorted us towards it. "Let me guess, two warm butterbeers with extra ginger on both?"

"Yes, Madame. Thank you." I smiled at her.

"It's about time you two got together. How is your brother taking the news, Jade?" Sirius held in a laughter.

"He's getting by, Rosie. According to him, 'it's too painful to see my sister snogging the person who I consider to be a brother.' I think he's being ridiculous." I shrugged and laughed along with her.

"He's always a dramatic person. James will get over it once he sees past his ignorance. I'll bring the butterbeers in a minute. You two are my last customers of the night." We thanked her and she left.

"So, I'm James brother?" Sirius smirked.

"Don't make this awkward, Padfoot. And yes, James sees you as a brother. You're practically family, Pads. Mum and Dad love you like a son. Same with Peter and Moony but I know that you hold a special place in their hearts." I smiled and grabbed his hands.

"Sometimes I wish I could run away and crash at your place until we graduate." He shrugged.

"What's stopping you then?"

"I don't know if I'm wanted." He said softly.

"Don't be stupid, Sirius. Mum actually asked me if you're willing to move in with us. There's plenty of room in the Manor and you basically live there already since you spend most of summer vacations with us." I grabbed his face and made him look at me. "Whatever you decide to do, James and I will support you. You're welcome at the Manor anytime no matter what. Okay?" He nodded and smiled at me.

"Thanks Vixen."

"That will take a while to get used to." We both laughed as Rosmerta brought us our butterbeers.

"Here we are, two warm butterbeers with extra ginger for the lovebirds." We thanked her smiling and she left us alone.

"I had fun tonight, believe it or not." I shrugged and took a sip of my butterbeer.

"Really? Thank Merlin I followed my guts. James wanted me to take you anywhere except Zonko's and the three Broomsticks." Sirius laughed.

"James is just messing with you, Pads."

"I know but-"

"But nothing, Sirius. Stop listening to everything that my brother says. He's just pissed because Lily doesn't give him the time of day." I shrugged.

"What do you think is going to happen between them? You can't deny that there's something there. It's kinda like us, sunshine." Sirius smirked and paid for our butterbeers and we left.

"Happy Christmas you two!"

"Happy Christmas, Rosie." We said in unison and finally left. As soon as we left, Sirius started jumping around the sidewalks until he fell. I managed to grab his camera and took a picture before he noticed.

"Sirius get up and let's go." I somehow managed to pull him up and wrap an arm around him as we made our way back towards the castle.

"Race you to the Gryffindor common room." Sirius said as he started sprinting up the stairs.

"Oh, you're on!" I yelled and ran behind him.

...

"THEY'RE BACK!" Peter yelled once we entered the common room out of breath.

"I won." I smirked and took off my coat.

"You cheated! You pushed me off the stairs and I had to apologize to Sir Nicholas for running right through him." I laughed and hugged him.

"Thanks for tonight. But next date, I'm paying."

"Oh so there's a next one?" Sirius smirked and wrapped his arms around me.

"Yep, and I'm planning it." I was suddenly yanked by Marlene.

"Good to see that you two had fun but we need details. She'll see you tomorrow, Sirius. See ya!" We raced up the stairs and entered the girls dorms with Lily, Dorcas and Alice behind us. "Tell us and no detail is too small."

Lily pushed me towards her bed and all the girls grabbed pillows and blankets and sat on the floor. I laughed and told them everything that happened tonight.

Tonight was perfect.
