I get some much-needed rest until I'm awoken by that T-phone. I groggily sit up and place the phone against my ear after answering. "Hello?"

"I-I-I lost her around here..." a voice I'm not familiar with says. It sounds like he's just letting me listen in.

"You think? Oh, that's not vague or anything," Donnie says sarcastically with a hint of pure annoyance.

Then Donnie and the other guy start fussing with each other until they get interrupted. The silence ensues and then they start talking again.

"Easy, fellas. We don't have time for this," Leo says.

I hear Donnie shove the other guy and Mikey starts laughing.

"Got a problem with that?" Raph asks.

The silence ensues as they walk until they start talking again.

"Ah! Rats? Why'd it have to be rats?" the other guy says.

"Dude, they're everywhere down here. They're nature's cuddly little friends," Mikey says.

"What's wrong with you?" the other guy says. In the background an animal chirps. "You hear that?" The small animal noises continue as everyone remains silent. "Huh?" The next thing heard is a spraying sound and then coughing. "That was hideous." He continues to cough.

"Dude, you put your nose in a New York City sewer. What'd you expect?" Raph says, causing me to giggle.

"Thought I saw..." then the guy screams.

"Casey, what is it?" Leo asks.

"I saw it, man. The demon rat!" the guy I now know as Casey says.

"Demon rat?" Raph questions.

It's a moment of silence until I hear the guy scream again. "Get 'em off me! Aaah! They're everywhere!"

I hear the guys ruffle him up and throw him against a wall.

"Not gonna lie. That felt pretty good," Donnie says, telling me that he doesn't much like Casey if I didn't already know from the fight when I picked up the phone.

"Let me out. Let me out!" Casey screams.

"Calm down man. What is your malfunction?" Raph asks.

"Is this guy delusional or something?" I ask.

I hear Casey whimper and then hear another scream, but this time, it's a girl's scream.

"April!" Donnie screams and I hear the splash of sewer water from him running. The others follow soon after. "It's alright, calm down. Everything's going to be okay."

"Hold on," Leo says. "What's that sound?"

"What is that?" Raph blurts out.

"It's a mushroom, with feet!" Mikey says. "Aww, it's so cute." He screams. "Get it off of me! Get it off of me! Eeehhgh!"

"Dumbass..." I comment.

I hear it getting flung off his face. "It's on the move," Leo says, unsheathing his katanas.

"I got this," Raph says, pulling out his sais. I hear him grunt as he attacks the mushroom.

"Fascinating. Evolved fungi," Donnie says.

I hear a loud puff of something and Raph groan.

"Raph!" Leo shouts. "Aah!"

All these different screams, voices, and coughs go off. It sounds like everyone's running around like headless chickens.

"What is going on?!" Mikey shouts.

"No it's you! Anybody but you! Keep away from me!" Raph yells.

"Raph, take it easy, man," Leo's voice says.

"That's it. If you won't stay away, I'll splatter you!" Raph yells.

"Raph, what's wrong with you?" Leo asks.

"Donnie? Quick explanation?" Mikey asks.

"Wish I knew!" Donnie replies.

"You're not getting me, roach. I smashed you once, I'll smash you again," Raph fusses.

"Roach?" Leo says confused.

Raph gets smacked to the ground by the sound of the speaker getting hit.

"Sorry bro, you're outta control!" Mikey shouts.

"Take it easy, bro," Donnie says.

"No. It's impossible," Raph groans.

"We're not gonna hurt you," Donnie says.

"Get back!" Raph shouts, kicking Donnie.

"Come on, dude! Stop it!" Mikey yells, after wrapping up Raph with his nunchucks. "Calm down. Breathe with meh!"

"Get off of me! Get off!" Raph shouts.

"Raph sees Mikey as a cockroach?" I question. "Something's definitely wrong." I get my things together and follow the tracking device I put in Raph's phone to find his location. "Be back soon, Finny!"

I find them in the sewers all screaming and going mad, except Leo, who's trying to fight off whatever it is that's making the others go nuts. Mushrooms run all over the place, attacking Leo and spraying pores in his face. I'm hidden away from everything up in the pipes, so the mushrooms won't come for me. I stealthily follow Leo, who's in a sort of daze.

"Where am I?" he asks from his daze on the floor.

"You're in the sewers," I answer.

He twists and turns until he wakes up yelling. "No! No! Come on. Fight your fear, Leo. Get your head straight. Fight it."

His yelling awakens all the mushrooms along with the giant mushroom behind him, which I conveniently just now see. "Do you talk to yourself like this all the time?" I ask.

"Huh?" he says and looks around for me, but instead realizes the big mushroom leader behind him. "Mutagen..."

"Taste. Fear. Feed," the big monster mushroom says.

Leo closes his eyes and bends down to his knees, gripping his head. "It's in my head."

"No, I can hear it too."

"Huh? Mysteria?" he says.

"I'm flattered you remembered my name," I say.

"If you would help that'd be great. No, you're just in my head too."

"More fear. Stronger. Spread, my spawn," mushroom king says.

"Aghhh! Fight it, Leo."

"Wow, you really do talk in third person a lot, don't you?" I ask and hop down beside him.

"You're a turtle?!" he freaks.

"No, I'm just what you imagine me to look like deep down in your thoughts. I'm not real. I'm not here to help you," I say as the mushrooms spray me with their spores, but to no effect because I have on a gas mask. "Just a helpful tip, mushrooms hate sunlight. That's how you can kill it." We begin to get hammered by lots of mushrooms and when we finally think we're finished more things come at us.

The mushrooms continuously spray him and his eyes go red. We continue to fight on until Leo leaps up from above and get smacked into the wall. He tumbles down as I try to get to him while dodging all the enemies. He slides down to the floor with his head to his chest. He comes to eventually.

"I can't do it. Failure. I'm a failure. I let the guys down. I-I let them down..."

"From listening to the conversation, Donnie is scared of being rejected by this April girl, April is scared of her father and bats, Mikey is scared of mutant squirrels, Raph is afraid of cockroaches, the Casey boy is afraid of rats, and your fear is losing your team. I've been there..." I mutter and walk up to Leo. I raise my hand and slap his face. "Get yourself together! You need to save your team! I'm not going to do it for you!"

He shakes his head. "No. No, I can't give up. I have to save my team."

I disappear back into the shadows and watch as Leo defeats the mushroom king. I then reappear behind him and knock him out, so he won't remember a thing. I watch as all the mushrooms die around us.

"Leo!"

"That's my cue to say goodbye." I disappear back above the pipes and watch as the other male turtles and two humans appear.

"Oh, no. Leo. Dude. Speak to me, bro!" Mikey shouts. "Do you need mouth-to-mouth?"

Leo grabs a hold of Mikey's face and sits up. "Absolutely not. You're all... okay?"

"Whatever you did, you saved us," Raph says. "All of us. Thanks, man."

Leo groans in pain. "No problem."

They help him up and they all begin to leave. Raph hangs behind. I hop down without the gas mask.

"I should thank you too, I guess?" he asks.

"No, I only slapped your brother so he could get his head back in the game," I say. "I told him he had to save you all, not me."

"He saw you?"

"He thought he was imagining me, so I went along with it," I admit.

"Well, thanks for slapping him, even though I wish I could've instead."

I smirk. "No problem... So, cockroaches?"

"Shut up," he groans embarrassed.

"Raph? Raph, where'd you go?" Mikey calls, walking back towards our area.

"Well, see you later." I jump up into the pipes and Raph follows me with his eyes before Mikey walks in.

"Whatcha doing? Whatcha looking at?" Mikey asks and looks in my general direction. "It's not a squirrel is it?!"

"Nothing, Mikey. Let's just go home and hope nobody follows us," Raph hints.

I roll my eyes and give him a slight wave goodbye before I disappear through the hole in the ceiling Leo created when defeating the mushroom monster.

"See ya later, loser." I make my way home to feed myself and Finny breakfast. "Finny? You ready to eat?"

He comes prancing around the corner and headbutts into me. "Meeehhh! Oops, sorry... Still not used to walking upright."

I chuckle. "I was the same way."
