New Life Again? (AI & Me written)

The sun dipped lower in the sky as it cast a warm, golden glow on the park bench where Lisa sat. The scattering of leaves beneath her feet seemed to mirror the turmoil inside her chest. She clenched her hands together tightly, her knuckles turning white, and took a deep breath.

"Qian," she began, her voice trembling slightly. "I need to tell you something."

He looked at her with those earnest brown eyes that had always made her feel seen and valued. A knot formed in her throat as she forced herself to continue.

"Look, I care about you deeply, but not in the way you want me to. I can't be your girlfriend or your lover, Qian. I just...can't." Her voice cracked, and she felt tears prickling at the corners of her eyes.

Qian blinked, his expression changing from surprise to hurt. "You don't love me?" he asked, his voice barely audible.

"No," Lisa admitted, swallowing hard. "But I would still like to be friends. You mean so much to me, and I don't want to lose our friendship over this."

Qian stared at her for what felt like an eternity, emotions playing across his face like a stormy sea. Finally, he spoke. "So, you're saying you'd rather settle for friendship than risk losing me altogether? That I'm not worth the effort?"

"Qian, no!" Lisa's heart raced. This isn't what she meant at all. "That's not what I'm saying. I just... I don't have romantic feelings for you. But our friendship is still incredibly important to me."

Before either of them could say anything else, Lisa's mother appeared, her face flushed and her brow furrowed with worry. "Lisa, are you okay? I saw you two talking, and I figured something was wrong."

"Mom!" Lisa cried, mortified. "You were eavesdropping?"

"Lisa, I'm sorry," her mother said, her voice soft and concerned. "I just... I overheard what you said, and I thought I should step in."

"Mom, this is a private conversation. Qian and I were just talking, and I need to clear things up with him first."

"Lisa told me she doesn't love me," Qian interjected, his voice bitter. "But she wants us to be friends. Apparently, I'm not worth the risk of losing altogether."

"Qian, that's not true!" Lisa felt desperation clawing at her insides. How could everything have gone so wrong so quickly?

"Lisa," her mother said gently, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Whatever decision you make, I'll support you. But I think it's important for both of you to understand each other's feelings clearly. Misunderstandings can lead to hurt and confusion."

"Thank you, Mom," Lisa whispered, grateful for her mother's wisdom despite the awkward intrusion.

"Qian," she began again, her voice firmer this time. "Please don't misunderstand me. I value our friendship more than anything. It's not about settling or risks; I simply don't have romantic feelings for you. That doesn't mean I don't care deeply for you or that our friendship isn't important. Can we still be friends?"

Qian stared at her for a moment, his gaze searching her face for any hidden meaning. Then, finally, he nodded. "Okay," he said quietly. "Friends."

BUt she was happy that her mom was finally trying to understand her again. It was a call from hybe, For her and Jennie to leave for Hybe for new collab between Bts, Stray Kids , Itzy and Twice. And guess who was upset now after seeing Sana with Taehyung?

Jennie clenched her fists, the urge to confront Sana growing stronger as she watched them laugh together. Lisa noticed her friend's agitation and reached out to touch her arm gently.

"Jennie, don't let it get to you," she whispered, concern evident on her face. "We're here for rehearsal, remember?"

But Jennie couldn't hear her over the storm of emotions raging inside her. Without a word, she stormed over to Sana, anger radiating from her body.

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" Jennie demanded, glaring at Sana. Taehyung looked taken aback by her sudden intrusion but stepped back, giving them space.

"Of course," Sana replied, her voice sweet and innocent – which only fueled Jennie's frustration. *How can someone so fake be so well-liked?*

Jennie, fiery red hair and a commanding presence, can't help but feel a twinge of jealousy when she spots Sana, from Twice, catching Taehyung's eyes. They share a smile and a laugh before breaking away to join other groups. The movement of their bodies seems to be telling another story altogether, one that ignites something within Jennie she hadn't expected. Her stomach churns with an unfamiliar feeling, and she tries to shake it off.

But then, during a break, she confronts Sana. "What are you doing?!" She hisses, grabbing Sana by the wrist roughly.

Sana, taken aback by the sudden aggression, tries to free herself from Jennie's grip. "What do you mean? We're just having fun!" She retorts with a frown.

"This is my group, and Taehyung is mine!" Jennie claims, her voice high-pitched and angry. Her eyes dart towards him as he watches them from across the room, looking completely oblivious to their argument.

Taehyung, feeling the tension in the air, can't help but feel torn between his two friends. He knows they are both incredibly talented dancers and amazing people, but right now, all he can do is watch in confusion.

"Jennie, we're just dancing," Sana tries to reason, "and Taehyung is my best friend. We've been practicing together for years. There's nothing going on."

But Jennie isn't listening; she's too consumed by her jealousy. She shoves Sana away, leaving her stumbling backward in surprise. The other dancers stop to watch the confrontation, their faces filled with shock and concern.

"I'm not letting you with him anymore sweetie," Jennie says, her voice trembling with emotion. She storms off, leaving Sana standing there, dumbfounded and hurt.

"Stay away from Taehyung," Jennie spat, her face twisted with fury. "He's mine."

"Jennie!" Lisa exclaimed, rushing over to intervene. She pulled her friend back gently. "Let's talk about this outside, okay?"

But the damage had already been done. The room fell silent, tension hanging heavy in the air as everyone's eyes shifted between Jennie, Sana, and Lisa. Sana stood there, shocked and hurt by the sudden outburst, while Jennie's chest heaved with every labored breath.

"Fine," Jennie hissed, stalking towards the door. Lisa followed, casting an apologetic glance towards the bewildered Sana.

As they stepped outside, the chilly night air cooled their heated cheeks. Lisa hoped it would cool their tempers as well. But the weight of the misunderstanding and the potential fallout loomed over them, threatening to overshadow the excitement of the collaboration.

Tears well up in Sana's eyes as she turns to Taehyung pleadingly, "Tell her it's not true. Tell her we're just friends."

Taehyung hesitates for a moment before stepping forward, taking her hand gently in his. "I'll talk to her," he promises solemnly, leading her off the stage. The crowd disperses as they exit, leaving behind a tense silence filled only by the echo of their footsteps on the concrete floor.

Jennie's heart thumped loudly in her chest as she rushed out of the rehearsal room, trying to catch her breath. The hallway was cool against her hot cheeks, and she wiped at them quickly, hoping that no one would notice the tears staining her face. She couldn't believe it—she had just embarrassed herself in front of everyone. She had misinterpreted Taehyung and Sana's friendship so badly. They were just close, nothing more, but she had thought they were a couple! Her face grew hotter with shame as she blinked back tears, unable to believe how stupid she had been.

Inside the room, the rest of the groups watched her go with curious and concerned glances. "What was that about?" Jungkook asked quietly, turning to Taehyung.

Taehyung shook his head, his expression solemn. "I don't know," he replied, his voice low. "But I'm going to find out." He slipped out of the room before anyone could stop him, determined to clear the air with Jennie.

Jennie kept walking, not sure where she was going but needing to get away from the building. She turned a corner and leaned against a wall, trying to calm her breathing. She heard footsteps behind her and turned to see Taehyung approaching, his face etched with concern. "Jenni," he said softly, reaching out to touch her arm. She flinched away, and he withdrew his hand immediately. "I'm sorry," he said earnestly. "I should have been clearer about my relationship with Sana. We're just close friends; we've known each other for years."

But it was too late now; the damage was done. She couldn't bring herself to look at him as she shook her head, still trying to process the embarrassment that swirled through her. "I thought...I thought you were together," she choked out between sobs.

Taehyung winced at her words, feeling like an idiot for not being more upfront with her. "No," he replied, his voice quiet. "I never once dated anyone in this industry... I don't even know why I thought it would be a good idea to try and court someone in the same field as me." He stepped closer, his heart aching for her. "I was planning on courting you..."

That stopped Jennie short. She looked up at him, surprise written all over her face. "What?" she asked, sniffling.

Taehyung took a deep breath. "I wanted to court you," he repeated. "I...I thought you might feel the same way. But I guess I was wrong." He looked down at his feet, his heart heavy.

Jennie stared at him, stunned. This wasn't what she expected at all. Her feelings for Taehyung were complicated—she had always admired him from afar but never thought he would notice her. "Why?" she whispered, her voice hoarse.

Taehyung looked into her eyes, his own glistening with unshed tears. "You're stunning—on and off stage," he replied simply. "I saw something more with you...I wanted to find out if maybe there was something there."

She swallowed thickly, her mind reeling. "Why didn't you say anything?" she asked, her voice trembling.

"I was scared," he admitted softly. "Scared of losing my best friend...and scared of ruining our friendship."

''I like you Jennie. I like you for years now! You are everything for the past few years I've ever wanted'' Jennie was flustered. He loved her?
