Fake love

Told AI to write this since I am having a fucking stupid writers block but need to finish this book asap.

The sun dipped low behind the city skyline as Lisa, a vivacious idol with a mischievous glint in her eyes, stepped into the luxurious restaurant. She smoothed the fabric of her shimmering red dress and scanned the room for her friend Ten, who had insisted she meet Qian, another rising star in their industry. Her mother had been unrelenting in her enthusiasm about the potential match, but Lisa knew that Qian wasn't her type.

"Over here, Lisa!" called Ten, waving enthusiastically from a corner booth. Qian sat next to her, his immaculate suit making him look like a debonair prince. As Lisa approached, she noticed he was nervously adjusting his tie.

"Hi, Ten," she said sweetly, smirking inwardly at the thought of the plan she had concocted. "Qian, it's so nice to finally meet you."

"Nice to meet you too, Lisa," replied Qian, his voice smooth, but Lisa could sense the unease beneath his polished exterior.

As they settled into the plush seats, Lisa noticed her mother enter the restaurant, scanning the room for their table. Now was her chance to put her mischievous plan into action.

"Mom!" Lisa called out, waving her over with a forced smile. "I didn't expect you to be joining us."

"Surprise, darling," her mother said, taking a seat across from Lisa. She turned her attention to Qian and added, "I've heard so many great things about you."

"Thank you, ma'am," Qian replied politely, though Lisa could see his discomfort growing.

"Qian is quite talented, Mom." Lisa smirked, watching as Qian squirmed under her mother's scrutiny. "You should hear his rendition of 'O Sole Mio'—it's breathtaking."

"Really?" her mother asked, intrigued. "I'd love to hear it sometime."

"Actually, why wait?" Lisa insisted, feigning excitement. "Qian, would you mind giving us a little performance?"

"Um, well..." Qian stuttered as he glanced around the crowded restaurant, clearly mortified.

"Come on, don't be shy!" Lisa goaded, inwardly delighting in his embarrassment. She could practically feel her mother's disappointment growing by the second.

"Okay," Qian agreed hesitantly, sweat spreading across his brow. He cleared his throat and began to sing, his voice wavering and cracking under the pressure. The other diners turned to stare, a mixture of confusion and pity on their faces.

"Bravo!" Lisa clapped sarcastically as Qian finished, red-faced and humiliated. Her mother looked horrified, and Lisa knew she had succeeded in making Qian appear like an embarrassing prospect.

"Mom, I think you'll agree that Qian and I aren't quite the perfect match you hoped for," Lisa said with a knowing smile. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have somewhere else I need to be."

"Of course, dear," her mother replied, unable to hide her dismay. "I'm sorry for pushing you into this."

As Lisa left the restaurant, she felt a familiar thrill run through her. She had managed to free herself from her mother's matchmaking schemes, at least for now. But the mischievous idol knew there would be more battles ahead, and she was more than ready to face them head-on.

Lisa strode confidently down the street, her heels clicking against the pavement. The night air was cool on her flushed cheeks as she reveled in her victory. Her phone buzzed, and she glanced at the screen to see a message from Ten.

"Hey, how did it go with Qian? Your mom seemed pretty insistent on you two meeting up!" Ten's curiosity shone through her words.

"Let's just say I don't think Mom will be pushing for a second date anytime soon," Lisa replied, a mischievous smirk playing on her lips. She couldn't resist adding a winking emoji for good measure.

"Ooh, do tell! What happened?" Ten's response came quickly, eager for details of Lisa's latest escapade.

"Maybe later," Lisa teased. "For now, I'm off to enjoy the rest of my night."

"Sounds mysterious. Have fun!" Ten signed off, leaving Lisa to her thoughts and plans for the evening.

As she walked, Lisa considered her options. There was a new art exhibit in town that she had been dying to see, or perhaps she could catch a late-night movie. The possibilities were endless, and for once, she didn't have to worry about her mother's meddling.

Lisa decided on the art exhibit, her excitement growing as she neared the entrance. It felt like a reward for outsmarting her mother and asserting her independence.

"Ticket for one, please," she requested, flashing a charming smile at the attendant. As she stepped inside the gallery, she took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of paint and history. The subtle thrill of victory still lingered within her, but now, she allowed herself to become immersed in the world of art and creativity.

In that moment, Lisa knew that no matter what challenges life threw her way, she would always find a way to make things work on her terms. And that knowledge filled her with a sense of contentment and happiness beyond measure.

The sun cast a golden glow over the rooftop café as Lisa, her mischievous eyes glinting in the sunlight, stirred her iced tea with a little too much enthusiasm. She couldn't help but feel a tingle of excitement at the prospect of what was to come. Ten, her best friend since childhood, sat across from her, sipping on her cappuccino and giggling nervously.

"Come on, Lisa," Ten pleaded, her voice barely audible above the hum of conversation around them. "Qian is a great guy. He's charming, talented, and let's not forget, incredibly handsome!"

Lisa rolled her eyes, her gaze wandering to the bustling cityscape below. "Look, Ten, I appreciate your effort, but Qian just isn't my type."

"Your mom seems to like him!" Ten pointed out with a sly smile. "She's been gushing about him ever since she met him last week."

"Urgh, don't remind me." Lisa sighed. Her mother's meddling in her love life was something she could do without. The fact that her mother had taken a liking to Qian only fueled her determination to prove he wasn't right for her.

"Speaking of which," Ten said, glancing past Lisa's shoulder, "isn't that your mom coming this way?"

Lisa's heart skipped a beat as she turned to see her mother approaching with Qian in tow. The time for action was now. As they drew nearer, Lisa hatched a plan to show her mother that Qian wasn't the ideal match she thought he was. She straightened her back and flashed her most innocent smile.

"Ah, there you are, sweetheart!" Lisa's mother cooed, reaching out to hug her daughter. "I thought it'd be nice for all of us to have a little get-together."

"Qian," Lisa said, extending her hand with feigned politeness. "What a pleasant surprise!"

"Likewise, Lisa," Qian replied, grasping her hand warmly.

As they all settled around the table, Lisa's mind raced with ideas to embarrass Qian and make him appear less attractive in her mother's eyes. She needed to be subtle but effective.

"Mom, have you heard about Qian's embarrassing incident on stage last week?" Lisa asked innocently, as she took a sip of her iced tea.

"Um, no," her mother replied, eyebrows raised in curiosity. "What happened?"

"Ah, it was nothing," Qian said quickly, his cheeks flushing.

"Really?" Lisa continued, feigning concern. "I heard you forgot your lyrics and tripped over a speaker. It was all over social media!"

"Is that true, Qian?" her mother asked, trying to hide her disappointment.

"Uh, well, yes," Qian admitted, looking at the floor. "But it was an isolated incident. I've learned from it."

"Of course, we all make mistakes," Lisa said sweetly, patting Qian's hand. She glanced at her mother, gauging her reaction. So far, so good.

"By the way, Mom," Lisa said, switching topics. "Did you know Qian is allergic to cats? I hope you don't expect us to get rid of Mr. Whiskers if things were to work out between us."

"Qian, you never mentioned an allergy," Lisa's mother said, her voice tinged with concern.

"Ah, it's not that severe," Qian stammered, clearly flustered by Lisa's relentless questioning.

Lisa could see her mother's enthusiasm for Qian slowly waning. She knew she was close to making her point. With one final push, Lisa hoped to free herself from her mother's matchmaking once and for all.

"Qian, I heard you're quite the homebody," Lisa said with a teasing smile. "You know how much I love going out and experiencing new things. Do you think you'd be able to keep up with my adventurous spirit?"

Qian looked cornered, his facade of confidence crumbling. "Uh, well, I guess we'll have to find out, won't we?"

Lisa's mother glanced between her daughter and Qian, finally seeming to realize that maybe they weren't as perfect for each other as she initially thought. "Well, it's always good to get to know someone better before jumping into anything serious," she conceded.

"Exactly, Mom," Lisa agreed, her heart swelling with triumph. "That's all I've been saying."

As the conversation turned to lighter topics, Lisa couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt for putting Qian on the spot like that. But sometimes, in order to free oneself from the expectations of others, one had to take matters into their own hands – even if it meant stirring up a little mischief along the way.

Lisa stood in the center of her lavish dressing room, the scent of fresh roses and her signature perfume hanging heavy in the air. She observed her reflection in the mirror, her eyes twinkling with mischief as she contemplated her next move. Despite being a successful idol, Lisa's life was plagued by the relentless matchmaking attempts of her mother and best friend Ten.

"Qian is such a catch, Lisa!" gushed Ten, fluffing up her own dress before adjusting the collar of Qian's shirt. "He's talented, handsome, and on top of that, an idol like you!"

"Ugh," Lisa thought, rolling her eyes. "Ten just doesn't get it." She didn't want to date Qian, or any other man for that matter. Her career was her one true love, and she was content with that.

"Your mother will be here any minute, Lisa," Ten warned, fixing Qian's hair with a final pat. "You should at least give him a chance."

"Alright, Ten. If it makes you happy," Lisa replied, her voice dripping with sarcasm. She knew her mother wouldn't give up easily, but Lisa had a plan to make Qian appear less than desirable. It was time for some mischievous fun.

As her mother entered the dressing room, Lisa sprang into action. "Mom! I'm so glad you're here," she exclaimed, embracing her mother tightly. "There's something I have to tell you about Qian!"

"Is it good news?" her mother asked, eyeing Qian with approval. "He seems like a perfect match for you."

"Uh, yeah, about that..." Lisa began, glancing over at Qian who was nervously fidgeting with his hands. "You see, Qian has this...strange habit."

"Strange habit?" her mother questioned, suddenly intrigued.

"Absolutely! He's quite clumsy and has a tendency to trip over his own feet," Lisa said, trying to suppress a giggle. "It's rather embarrassing, actually."

"Really?" her mother frowned, disappointment seeping into her voice. "Well, I can't believe that would be a deal-breaker, Lisa. We all have our quirks."

"Of course, Mom," Lisa agreed, feigning innocence as she subtly stuck out her foot just as Qian passed by. The unsuspecting idol stumbled, barely managing to catch himself before crashing into the vanity mirror.

"Qian!" Ten exclaimed, rushing over to help him regain his balance. "Are you okay?"

"Y-yes, I'm fine," he stammered, blushing furiously with embarrassment. "Just my usual clumsiness, I suppose."

"See, Mom? I told you," Lisa said, struggling to keep the triumph from her voice. "I don't think I could handle dating someone who's always tripping over themselves."

Her mother sighed, clearly disheartened by the turn of events. "Well, maybe you're right, Lisa. Perhaps Qian isn't the one for you."

"Mom, I promise I'll find someone someday," Lisa reassured her, patting her hand gently. "Someone who doesn't embarrass me."

"Alright, darling," her mother conceded, offering a small smile. "But please remember, no one is perfect."

"Of course, Mom," Lisa agreed, knowing full well that she'd dodged yet another matchmaking bullet. For now, at least.
