Silas' POV

Terrance had already left, Shark and Nigel had knocked down the two guys and the only one left to deal with was Leo.

"Your end is today." He laughed manically.

"Go ahead you psycho, kill me like you killed Lula." I dared.

"No." Karen said softly behind me.

"With pleasure." He said. His hands were trembling but a bang was released from the gun but I didn't get hurt, I was fine but someone fell into my arms.

"Karen!" I yelled holding her. She had been shot in her stomach because she took a bullet for me and now she was unconscious.

"Where the fuck is the ambulance?" I demanded.

"They're here." Jam said coming to us. I glared at Leo and picked up Karen into my arms.

"Oh shit! I missed, no problem I'll just fi-" He was smacked very hard in his head by Shark and I quickly walked out of the warehouse with Karen whiles Nigel decided to call the police.

I gently laid her onto the stretcher and kissed her forehead. I was about to go with them but Nina and Jamila stopped me.

"We're going with her, I think you should check up on Terrance and Esther." Nina urged and after a little argument, they won and I quickly ran through the bush with the gun in my hands.

I ran to where Esther was a few inches away form a pit. When we made eye contant, I motioned her to shift her leg because I was going to make a risky move and being the smart girl she was, she understood my sighs.

I pulled the trigger and shot the guy in the leg and Esther freed from his grip and pushed him into the pit but before she could ran into Terrance's arms who was closely behind, the guy shot her at her hip.

Fuck.

Terrance's POV.

"If I'm going down, you're coming with me sweetheart." The fucker said as Esther fell into my arms and he shot himself. What a dumbo.

"Terrance." She called out feebly as her body trembled.

"Shit." Sials cursed when he approached us and tossed the gun into the pit whiles Esther held my wrist.

"Esther, calm down, everything will be okay." I assured holding her hand.

"I'm..I'm..sorry for lying to you it was just I..I..I.."

"Shhh...it's ok, I understand but please don't leave me..please don't." I begged feeling lumpy in my throat.

"I'm sorry Terrance..but..but..I..I can't..I can't.." She whispered tears streaming on her cheeks making my heart ache more seriously because it makes me recont how I lost my mother .

"I'm..such a liar.." She sobbed whimpering making my chest tighten.

"Esther, please..I'm begging you..don't leave me." I kissed her knuckles as memories flashed my mind.

I remembered those times she was happy dancing, annoying me, consoling me and I knew that there was no way I could deal with myself if she ever left me.

"I'll get the car." Silas ran off.

"Terrance, I'm..really sorry, but I..I don't think I have much time left..b..but I want..I want you to know that I..I love you." She breathed and she stopped shaking.

At that same moment, thunder flashed in the sky and it started raining heavily as Esther's body was cold and still..or should I say what I don't want to say..lifeless.

"Esther." I callled shaking her myself but the only thing I heard was the rain which was beating my back and mixing with the blood both of us were losing.

"ESTHER!" I yelled. Ignoring the pain on my shoulder, I picked her up and approached Silas who had brought the car. He quickly got out, and I gently placed Esther into the car and sat in as well.

Silas revved the engine and drove like a drunk mad man and we sped off to the hospital.

I yelped in pain as the nurse removed the bullet out of my shoulder and began dressing the wound.

"Will my wife be okay?" I asked wincing.

"I'm not sure Mr. Douglas." She avoided my gaze as she dressed my wound.

When she finnished, I dashed out of that room and went to where the others were.

"Terrance, wait here." Jam instructed and I glared down at her.

"What the fu-"

''Terrance, even I wasn't allowed in there so please wait here." She cut me off and I sighed in frustration. After a few hours, the doctor came out.

"How is she?" I demanded coming closer to the doctor.

"She..she had lost a lot of blood and-"

"Take my blood and save here!" Silas growled and moved to stand by me.

"We'll have to do a test first to see that everything in you is okay." Said the doctor.

"I don't care just do whatever you can and save my little sister." He said. He went away with the doctor whiles I sat down and started to pray like I always did.

Several moments later, Silas came out looking slightly weak as he plopped into the chair by me.

"Don't worry man, she will be fine." He said lowly and I nodded.

"Thanks for donating." I replied.

"It's really nothing, I just wanted to save my little sister." He said.

"But where's Karen?" I asked looking at the others and they informed me she was also admitted because she was shot.

"How is she now?" I asked.

"We don't know yet." Sials ran his hand through his hair, looking exhausted as me.

It was slightly sunset and we were still waiting for the results. The doctor came out with an unknown look on his face.

"How is my wife?" I demanded getting closer to the doctor.

"We were able to transfuse blood into her system and we also removed the bullets but.." He sighed, removed his cap and bowed his head slightly.

"But what?!" I growled impatiently hoping not to hear what I didn't want to hear.

"We tried our best but..but I'm sorry and afraid that only a miracle can save her now." He announced and my heart just quit.

For a moment, I zoned out and I couldn't think properly because what the doctor said was echoing in my mind.

Only a miracle can save her now.

These were the exact same words my father was told nine years ago but a miracle never happened. Mom died..just like that.

I absentmindedly pushed past the doctor and entered the ward where Esther laid. I knelt by her bed and held her soft hands. I then felt something wet on my cheeks and I allowed the tears to freely flow down.

"Are you going to leave me? Like my mother did?" I asked my cheeks getting wetter and wetter than before as I remembered the times I shared with her.

"Please, I beg you..please don't leave me." I whispered. "If you want to make it up to me then don't leave me." I said.

I shut my eyes and rubbed her palm then suddenly I heard sounds coming from the computer indicating her life support was working.

I pressed the emergency button with haste and the doctor and some other nurses burst in and I was asked to leave. I went back, slightly relived. She was gonna be okay.

The doctors and nurses came out with relief on their faces.

"They're fine." One said probably reffering to Karen and Esther.

"Can I see her?" I and Silas requested at the same time and Silas went to Karen.

"I'll call mom to get her food, Nina let's go." Jam said and they left when I entered the ward. Unable to stop smiling, I sat next to her.

"Baby, stop smiling like a creep." She scoffed and I was glad that she was back to her funny, annoying self. Dang I love her.

"Hey, you cried too." She cooed placing her palm on my cheek and I felt warmth all over me.

"Because, I love you." I said lowly as I used her finger to draw circles on my cheek.

"M..me too." She blushed grinning.

"So..why didn't you tell me earlier?" I asked grazing my thumb on her cheek making her shiver.

"Hm? Or you're too nervous to answer?" I teased.

"Jerk." She scowled swating my hand away and I chuckled.

"Hey, I forgot to ask, where's my food?" She demanded pouting and I rolled my eyes.

"Won't I be fed?" She asked.

"Thank you." I said all of a sudden and she raised a brow at me.

"Thanks for what?" She asked.

"Thanks for not leaving me." I squeezed her fingers.

"Of course, how can I leave food behind on earth?" She asked and I became jealous all of a sudden that if food were to be a guy my I would have beaten it to death.

"Oh come on baby, don't get all jelly, I love you too." She said and heat rushed up to my cheeks.

"I'm...I'm not jealous." I lied.

"Yeah, sure you're not." She giggled. "But I said you're jelly so yeah."

"Hey how about I call you Jelly bae?" She requested and I scrunched up my face at the name.

"No. I think I prefer 'Baby' rather." I wriggled my brows at her when I placed her palm on my cheek again and hers turned deep red.

"So that meant you liked it from the start!" She said trying to tease me.

"Yep." I replied and her entire face got really red like beef.

"Ugh you're such a jerk!" She grumbled.

"Yep." I replied and she removed her hand from my cheek and that was when the doctor just has to enter.

"Um..Mr. Douglas please it's time to leave." He announced and I felt reluctant.

"Can't I stay for a bit?" I requested and the doctor shook his head. I groaned, looked down at Esther, held her hand and sucked her lips before I let go of her and walked out if the ward but not before I shot her a wink and smirk whiles she flipped me her middle finger with an eye roll.

I stopped smiling like a creep when I got outside because I was bathed in a maximum amount of relief and my heart ache had reduced. I licked my lips and wished she would come home soon.
