Avni's pov

That feeling when you can't see anything around you, darkness surrounded you, would intimidate you to the core that your soul would shaken badly with terror. I never knew my life would take such a drastic turn and I would ended up in pieces. I lost my father in this mess and my life got completely changed. We had been brought here at the village where my grandmother and chachu ( uncle) with his family lives together.

I badly miss my father each and every moment but the thought of him losing his life because of me makes me hate myself more. Yes I am the reason behind our sorrow, pain and misery. Thinking of all this I can't sleep in peace and I don't want to cause I had to face the worst nightmares. I was in dilemma thinking over my life but my reverie broke hearing the knock on the door of my room. I know who must have been other side. Sighing I got up and opened the door. There he was standing with his beaming face flashed before me. He was Vikram bhai, the most humble and caring person I have ever seen. He was my cousin. It was his daily routine to come and wake me up at 5 am in the morning for my college. Finally I could get away from all those ill thoughts.

Avni's pov ends.

Vikram: avi come on get ready fast neela ma is preparing breakfast for us

Avni nodded and grabbed her clothes getting into the bathroom. After she was done she came out and found her mother and Vikram at the dining table.

Neela ma smiled and made her sit on the chair and served both of them poha and tea.

Neela: avni please try to come early today

Avni frowned and looked at Vikram who shrugged his shoulders in response. Avni looked at neela again.

Avni: but why ma? My schedule is fixed I can't leave my lectures.

Neela: still try to come early that's it

Avni shook her head and got up cleaning her hands. After that Vikram followed and they both went out. Neela ma thought something and smiled.

Avni's pov,

We are heading to our college. Vikram bhai drop me to my college first and then leave for his office after dropping me every day. The atmosphere was nice, cold breeze stroked my face as I opened the window of my side. I closed my eyes trying to find that lost peace but only the bad memories came rushing into my mind. I miss him badly. He would be so happy with the love of his love. It was me who hadn't received his calls, messages and never tried to be with him in touch. I even changed my number cos I needed to get the authenticity of our fate. We were not meant to be. He love someone else. Seeing your love with someone else is the worst thing to feel. How would you feel when your love look at someone the way you wanted to look by him. How would you feel when he talk about his love in front of you unknowingly hurting you. How would you feel when your BEST FRIEND starts avoiding you because he found love in someone else. I didn't want to go through the same thing I had gone through earlier. That's why after his departure I made up mind to not think of him. But I was thinking about him only. He had called me the moment he reached London, I knew because I got the message from juhi that they reached. She was so tired so we didn't talk but I didn't answer Neil's call. I started behaving like I don't care but deep down I was breaking from inside, from then I started building up the distance between us. But I miss him badly now, bohot yaad aati hai tumhari Neil. Kash tum mere saath hote, meri feelings ko samajhte. Please mujhe galat mat samjhna.

My chain of thoughts came to a halt when Vikram bhai shook me bringing me back to the reality. I looked at him then at outside. We reached the college. I gave a smile to him and he patted my head telling me to take care of myself. I nodded and got out from the car. Waving at me one last time he drove from there. Only because of him I am able to come out for the college. If he would not have been there don't know what would have happen to me. To us.

Avni's pov ends.

Other side neil was all ready to go and meet her but he was badly freaked out from inside thinking what would be her reaction? They hadn't talked since 2 years. The great tragedy had happened with them. But he was determined to set everything all right. He hugged his parents and got inside the car on the back seat.

Some old soothing music was playing on the radio. He closed his eyes thinking about all the moments he had spent with avni. A tear tickled down his eyes followed by many. He acted strong infront of his parents but he felt too weak to even face her. So many things had changed between them. He wiped his tears and began to look out of the window having a lots of questions and thoughts in his mind.

After exactly 3 hours of long journey he reached the place he wanted to come. He got out from the car and took out his bag. The driver went from there and neil stood outside at the doorstep. It wasn't a big house like they had in Mumbai but it looked beautiful with minimal space but great comfort. Neela was passing by the main hall when he saw neil standing outside. She smiled widely and went to him. Neil smiled and bent down to touch her feet as soon as he saw neela.

Neela embraced him in a hug weeping silently. Neil broke the hug and wiped her tears nodding his head, telling her not to cry. Avni's grandmother saw him and neela introduced her to him. She just nodded and went to her room. Later they both got engrossed in talking but Neil's eyes didn't left any corner unseen. He was both nervous and excited. Neela saw his condition and smiled inwardly.

She got a call so she excused herself and went from there not before telling neil to get fresh and take rest for sometime. He just nodded and went in the room to get freshen up. Time flies but for neil it was like a torture. He waited, waited and only waited for avni.

Other side avni got free at last and Vikram as always was there to pick her up. It takes 3 hours to travel from college to their home and vice versa. Avni had been sitting silently unaware of the fact that someone was waiting for her impatiently and she gotta meet him after so long.

Finally they reached after a long tired journey. Vikram looked exhausted, avni looked at him in guilt because he had to wake up early to drop her at the college and to pick her up also he come all the way been tired. Vikram saw her and Sighed.

Vikram: avi don't think like that please. You are my sister right?

Avni nodded.

Vikram: toh? It is sisters rights to trouble their brothers but here see whom I got as a sister. Hey bhagvan thoda toh rehem kar. ( hey god have mercy on me please )

He said dramatically to lighten up her mood and it worked she smiled and smacked his arm pouting. They chuckled looking at each other and got out from the car.

As soon as she stepped inside the house she got embraced in a tightest hug. She got shocked, confused, angry and what not. She didn't get time to even react. She squirmed in the grip but next second got startled feeling something. It was him. How could she not recognize him. IT WAS HIM. Her heartbeat quickened and lips began to quiver feeling him so close after a protracted period.

Her hands were itching to hug him back but her whole body got numb just been this close to him. Neil was smiling through tears. He missed her terribly and now didn't feel like to let her go. As soon as neil saw avni at the doorstep he forgot everything, his fear, his nervousness and just ran into her grabbing her in his arms.

Avni's grandmother: yeh kya ho raha hai?

That brought them both in senses. Neil moved away still holding her arm. Avni still couldn't believe he was there. Her eyes had tears but her heart was at peace. Neil smiled widely looking into her eyes intently. He raised his hand to touch her face but before he could do so avni moved away from him and looked at her grandmother. When she realised what was happening her mind was completely blank.

Neela come ahead for the rescue and take her mother in law to her room, while going she blinked her eyes looking at neil and he just smiled getting her trick. Avni had been rooted to her place. Vikram was watching all this from far but seeing avni not responding he went near her and stroked her head. Avni couldn't control herself anymore and broke into tears.

Vikram pulled her in hug freaking out due to her cries and caressed her hair asking repeatedly that what happened but she was only crying. Neil was having a mix emotions, he used to console her like this whenever she would cry but now there was someone else on that place. Seeing his avni like that he felt like killing himself. She wasn't even looking at him, he badly wanted to take her in his arms and take out her all the pain and sorrow that she had been carrying within. Before he could do anything Vikram took avni to her room leaving neil there alone all messed up and exhausted, both mentally and physically.
