Prologue

I entered a room.

There she was infront of the fire place getting hypnotized by the growing red flames that became a lighter tint as your view got closer to the center, where it held absence of any color. My hand still on the door nob closed it making as little noise as possible, yet it still made a 'thump' sound. She turned her head.

She gave me a soft, yet radiant smile. Her lips were uneven, the top one being leaner than the bottom that had more meat. High cheek bones rose more than normal due to the smile that had been playing on her face. I looked at her ethereal eyes.

The color took me back to a place I've never been.

A tropical rain forest. Everything about her eyes reminded me of it. The slight swirls of olive were like vines, the kelly green reminding me of the leafs, big or small. Those were two out of a hundered things I could name just because of her eyes. They were speacial, a view I wouldn't ever forget in my life.

I approached her, taking small, slow steps before stopping infront of her and kneeling, my back facing her gaze.

She wrapped her arms around me. The heat of her young and peachy cream skin bounced onto my slightly tanned self making me feel warmer than the open flame infront of me could.

I looked down and saw how her slender, boney hands craved into each other, while laying on top of my stomach. She positioned her chin on my shoulder, making me smile as her soft hot breaths hit my neck.

Something about a hug always got to me. I don't really know if it was because of who hugged me or how warm they were? I think it was about how much love they but into each and every hug they gave.

You felt how much they cared for you. How much they love you. How much they missed you, and how many times they thought of you during the time you two were part.

A hug could melt someone, depending on who it was.

A hug could cure a broken heart, depending if the right words were used.

A hug can become a memory never to be forgotten.

"What are you going to do when I'm gone?" Her sweet melody like voice soothed itself into my ears. My point of focus was still on the deadly flower ragging on. The heat coming from it became cold, and my surroundings turned dark.

I looked at the arms around me that slowly started aging and wrinkling like tissue paper. The opened window blew a strong breeze making the thin, white, see through curtain lift up and blowing the silhouette, as if it were ash out the window into the dark sky, along with the full moon and stars.

I looked down my tears warm against my cheek and dark clothing.

"I dont know what I'll do mom?"
