Until you say it with coherent thoughts 
When meaning is lost between the lines 
Of obscure strings of connecting dots 
Understanding could be found 
When we listen with our hearts

When it became a sword that bleeds you dry 
The relative truth of each and everyone 
Can't just be denied by anyone 
To hear the tone of written voice 
Open your eyes and see at a vantage point

When it soothes the burned flesh of men 
Like a poison with potency in a cloud of doubt 
Discovering it's worth as more than homicidal wrath 
To make peace with what's already been said 
Taste life outside your hardened shell 

Words are just words until it sings 
With melodious voice from deep within 
Lost and found in the maze of dreams 
Reality wakes even those in languor 
To enjoy the music of spirits soaring 
Listen to what the others are saying 

Words are just words, after all 
And we all have something to say.
