CHAPTER ONE

You always wanted to know what the sky looked like when the sun was up, and when it was down. If the clouds are really as puffy as they say, and if the stars do twinkle. You also wanted to know what simply what outside looked like.

The doctors wouldn't let you anywhere in outside world, or the windows, which you guess they have somewhere. There were no windows around your living quarters. It was more like a cell but you didn't complain.

The walls were silver it made you feel like you were living in a aluminum can. You currently sat on the white hospital bed in the empty room filled with multiple empty beds. They'd always have been empty atleast since you could remember.

You'd woken up five years ago you were currently nineteen, and had absolutely no memory of your life before the Cell as you called it. You drew softly in your sketch book trying your best avoid messing up the tubes in your arm

Every onces in awhile you were hooked up to a portable machine. It was small it looked like a upside down bowl with colorful lights. Its height was alittle lower than your knees and had a large pole that retracted so it could hold up the tubes and wire will you walked around. Were ever you went it followed.

You didn't have to pull it or anything it went your pases. A tube went into your right wrist, and a long red wire entered your inner elbow. Also a blue wire and tube went into your right side under your (f/c) hospital gown.

You also often had to were a white wire that was stuck into your neck by a sticker. You only had to wear it sometimes though. This was one of thoses times. It irradiated your skin making want to rip it off but didn't dare.

Its helping rid of your sickness you reminded yourself. The doctors has said you were here because you were sick. With what? They never told you, all they said was if you left you'd die. You didn't want to die so you stayed even if the place sometimes made you wish you were dead.

You had just finished drawing what you imagined the clouds to look like when the sound of people approaching caught you attention. Not wanting anymore testing today you layed down and pretended to sleep.

They often left you alone when you were sleeping. The door opened at three doctors walked in all in there white outfits. They pulled a table, you peeked trying to see what was on it. You held back a gasp.

It looked like a person. You could tell it looked like it was covered in ash and sut. The doctors started to clean the thing up. They probably want it clean before placing it somewhere so it couldn't dirty everything. Everyone around here were clean freaks of so you think.

Everything was aways spotless. One of the doctors turned catching your eyes quickly you closes them. When you reopened them a large white curtain had been pulled blocking your veiw from the other side of the room.

You sat up slowly the small machine robot that followed you, which you had named, Beep because every so often thats the sound it made. It had gotten on your nerves at first but after awhile you got used to it.

You wanted to see what the thing was but knew the doctors wouldn't let you. So you sat listening to the doctors rustling around. You listened until you had fallen asleep and enter the strange dream you had often.

{}{}{}{}{}{}

You were running down a dark hallway, stopping to check each door you came by. All of which end up being locked. Tears fell down your faces and all you could keep say was 'No' over and over again.

Just as you reached the end of the hallway the lights above flickered a emergency red. You looked back and forth unsure of what on to take. Left or right. You always took the right, every night you had this dream. It always played out the same.

Quickly you ran down the right hallway nearly slipping on a strange liquid in your bare feet. A sob escaped your lips as you seen the end of the hallway. A sign glowed at the end. Before you could read it you clasped to the floor as you struggled to breath.

Sick, you thought im sick, im sick, im gonna die, I-

Your never finished the thought before you layed down your faces pressed against the cold floor. Your eyes drooped and the last thing you seen was a set of shoes in front of your faces then-

{}{}{}{}{}{}

You wake up. You let out a shake breath pushing your (h/c) hair out of your faces. You tiredly sighed looking at the curtain in front of you. There was no sound signaling the doctors were no longer present.

Slowly you slid out of bed, beep Beep said making you jump. Carefully you made your way to the curtain taking a fist full of fabric. Don't open it, your mind screamed, curious kills that cat. Another part of you screamed im not a cat!

Closing your eyes you pulled the curtain and stood for a moment holding your breath. When nothing attacked you, your (e/c) eyes opened. You were shocked at what you seen. There layed a boy.

After pulling the curtains completely you made your way to the side of the hospital bed. You knew it was weird to watch someone while the sleep but you had never seen someone your age in the cell atleast none you could remember.

The boy had raven colored hair that stuck to his forehead. He had burns on his faces not to bad, onces that would go away eventually. The only the severely burned was his right hand and arm which was bandaged.

With shaky fingers you pushed back his hair. Smiling softly at the tingling that raced up your arm. You blushed slightly. Suddenly it hit you, here layed another patent in the cell you weren't alone.

Now you could have a friend one that didn't stick needles in you, one that could smile at you and talk to you truthfully. Someone who wouldn't keep secrets. Atleast you hoped. As you thought theses things you didn't seem to notice the boy waking up.

He shot up rather quickly causing you to jump back tripping over Beep and landing on the hard floor. You gasped as the wind was knocked out of you. Luckily the tubs and wires remained attached and weren't ripped out.

The boy looked at you confused and shocked. You couldn't help but notices he had gorgeous eyes. You blushed deeply not only at what you just though but the fact he caught you watching him sleep.

"S-sorry," you stuttered.

Quickly you got up taking a step back making you ever farther fron him. He looked around the room, "Were am I? Who are you? Why am I here?"

"I-I don't k-know," you said.

You didn't know much, not even your name well you had been told it was (Y/N) but it felt alien to you. A part of you knew it was yours but another didn't want to believe it. After a moment you decided to tell him the name anyway.

"Im (Y-Y/N)," You frowned at your stuttering.

"I- the fire, the explosion, HIRO!" He suddenly exclaimed.

You flinched, "Hiro?" You repeat, "Is that your name?"

"No, its my brothers," he spoke slow and unsure if he could trust you with such small information.

"Oh," you said.

Suddenly you felt jealous why could he remember and you couldn't? You wanted answers but knew you wouldn't get any so you pushed away the feeling.

"Fire...that would explain the burns," you said, Beep followed you as you walked a bit closer.

The boy touched his faces flinching slightly, he then held out his left hand that was barley burned, "(Y/N) its lovely to meet you im Tadashi Hamada."

You stared at his hand unsure what to do at first. Then you remembered hand shake. With your tubes, and wire connected hand you took his hand and shook his hand, "Its nice to meet you, its nices to meet anyone really."

When your hands released he started getting up hissing in pain with nearly every move. You frowned not liking seen him in pain. When he was on his feet you stepped in front of him.

"What are you doing?" You demand.

He grabbed your shoulders, "You seem nices and trustworthy, so I know you won't forces me to stay, im leaving."

Leaving , you felt tears coming. He couldn't leave he just got here, and you didn't want to be alone."What? Why?"

"Listen (Y/N), I have to get home, to my brother and Aunt, plus my friends, there probably worried sick, or think im dead, I did run into a burning building anyway, I have to go, now can you pleases direct me to a exit?"

"I-I can't," you whispered, "I..there...im not sure...exit...I don't...theres no way...,"

"You don't know how to get out?" He frowned.

"No the doctors never tell me, I've never seen any doors that lead to anything besides rooms, there is no enter or exit that I've seen," you tell him.

He released you shoulders, "Doctors?" He frowned, "Do you know the name of the hospital?"

"Hospital?" You frowned, "Im not sure."

"Do you even know if this is a hospital?" He seemed to be getting frustrated.

You stepped away slightly shaking your head, "I don't know, but don't worry, your safe here, im sure onces your all healed they'll let you go home."

The doctors had onces told you that once your cured and remember you could go home. Where ever home was. Tadashi was silent as you made your way to your bed. You were tired all a sudden, you often were, actually you think there was only handfuls of times you weren't tired.

"How long have you been here?" He asked slightly nervous.

You knew your answer most likely wouldn't comfort him but you knew he need the truth, "About five years."

Another long period of silences. "Why?"

"Im s-sick," you answered.

"With what?"

"I-I don't know, " Softly you add, "I don't know much of anything."

"I can't stay here I have to get home!" He tells you.

Home, you weren't sure you ever had one of thoses. You looked into the boys eyes. Every ounces of you wanted to help him, "Okay, Tadashi I'll help you out of here," you tell him, "I promise."

He smiled he looked like he might start cheering and jumping. He might have if it wasn't for his injuries.  He came over to you hugging you tightly, "Thank you, thank you!" He released you, "How could I repay you?"

You chuckled, "I haven't helped you yet," you yawned slowly climbing into you bed and pulling the covers around you, "But a friend would be nices."

You knew he heard you but you weren't sure if he ever replied because you had already let the darkness take over you.
