Dad woke me up at four in the morning. Who the hell gets up at four in the morning! Apparently he does. I got up so he would go away and leave me alone. Then I fell back asleep. Well almost. He came back and shook me with so much force that I could feel my brain thumping into the sides of my head.

"OKAY I'M UP!" I shouted at him. "Just get off of me."

"Come on it's time to go." He said. I got out of bed, when he closed the door. I didn't want to feel anything like that happening again. It was just too painful. I wonder if Mom would be much more gentle then that.

I put on a white tee shirt that said "Kill Me Now, And I'll Whisper 'Thank You'". Not the best shirt, I know but I wanted to wear it because that's how I felt today. Skinny jeans with holes in the knees. Faded marker drawings of sad pictures of death.

As I walked down the steps I found my Dad waiting for me at the front door. He had a smile on his face until he saw my shirt.

"Do you have to wear that in public?" He asked. "I think it might be offensive."

"You clearly don't know style." I said by accident. I didn't mean to say those words, but I was a little too late.

"Anna!" Dad yelled. "Don't say that!"

"Sorry." I replied. What a great day I'm having right? This sucks.

We got into the car and started to drive away. Our things were all packed up in the trunk, surprising on how it all fit, and Dad driving while I fell asleep in the back.

I don't know how long I was out but I knew it was a good enough amount of sleep. I finally felt ready for the day to begin. And it was twelve in the afternoon! What a great time. Eight hours of sleep.

"Morning sleeping queen." Dad said. I wasn't sure if that was a joke or a comment of how much I sleep. I really didn't care.

"How long until we get there?" I asked him.

"Why, Anna, we are here. Welcome to Genoa, Illinois."

I know this chapter was shorter than the other one but I did my bet to shorten the road trip to speed things along. After all, we still have other people to meet.
