I'm doing titles now. I don't own TFIOS

School was over. Gus and I walked into the parking lot waiting for my mom.

"Hazel Grace, how did you like your first day of school?" He said. I sat down on the curb. He sat next to me. I breathed deeply.

"A lot of walking." I laughed. My mom pulled into the parking lot. We buckled up in the car and started driving.

"How was school." She asked.

"A lot of watching." I said.

I got hooked up the BiPAP and went to sleep. I woke up to not being able to breath. I screamed. My parents rushed in and my dad called 911. My mom hooked me up to my cannula. I could get tiny breaths in but not enough. The ambulance came and I was carried out and out on a stretcher. I fell asleep.

I woke up and my my mom hugged me. "Water in your lungs again sweetie." I nodded. "Gus visited earlier. He had to go to school. And yes you can go back tomorrow." I nodded then went back to sleep.

Gus POV:

I woke up around 2:00 am to a phone call. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I reached over and answered my phone.  "Hello?" 

 " Hey. This is Hazels dad. She woke up not being able to breath. She's okay now. You can coke visit. "

 "Alright. Ill be there." I said. I hung up and jumped out of bed. I slipped on some grey joggers and a white sweatshirt. I put in my sides and grabbed my keys. Then I ran and hopped in my car.

I pulled up into the hospital's parking lot. I ran through the doors. "Hazel Grace Lancaster."

 " Room 304. " the lady at the desk said. I walked towards the elevator and pushed the up button. 

 "Hello dear. What brings you here?" Am older woman asks. She has brown hair and blue eyes. 

 "My girlfriend." I answer. 

 "Ahh. My daughter in law went in to labor. I'm so excited!" She exclaimed. "So it's your girlfriend in labor or...?" 

 " She's not in labor. " i laughed. "She had one fully working lung and she woke up not being able to breathe. My guess is she's getting her lungs drained." 

 " Oh I'm sorry. Hope she feels better. This is your floor. "

 "Oh yah. It is. Nice taking to you." I walked to the and knocked. I heard a 'come in' i opened the door and walked in. 

 "Hey." I said. 

 " Hey Gus. We are going to leave you two alone. She's sleeping. " Mrs. Lancaster said. I nodded. I walked over amd sat in a chair next to Hazel. I looked at her sleeping figure. God, she's so beautiful. How did i get so lucky? 

I took her hand and kissed it. "Hey Hazel Grace." I whispered . "I love you." And like i said there was a tube draining all the water out of her lungs. "Get better. I can't imagine a world without you."

 I stayed with her until it was. 6:00 am. "Well, Hazel Grace, I have to go. I love you." I kissed the top of her head then left the room. And not once during those 4 hours did she wake up. She will come to school tomorrow though.

Layla walked up to me. "Wheres your sick girlfriend?" She asked. 

 " Sick and in the hospital. " i said  

 "Oh." Then she walked away.
