I help Isaac in the car. Then I ask him " Where are we going for this picnic?" He says " Where else would we go." I know exactly what he is talking about. So I drive. When we get there I help Isaac out of the car. Then we walk over to a tree near Funky Bones. I open the basket and it's ALL vegetarian. I feal so happy. I ask if Isaac if we should eat and he saids "Yes." I give myself and him a plate of salade. Then aboutt halfway through the meal he asks "Soooo is this considered a date?" "Umm I uh I guess so . " I say clearly nervous. Then we finish our picnics date I geuss that's what you would call it . I drop Isaac off at home. Then when I get home I rush to my mom . I yell "Mom I need you!"She rushes down and says " Hazel , what is wrong." "Mom I hade my first OFFICIAL date since Gus' s death. Then I start crying I'm not exactly sure why because I like Isaac I really do but the talk of Gus and dateind in the same sentence is over whelming. Whall I crying my mother is gust embracing me. I know that my mom is happy . After I stop crying my mom asks "how was your over welling date?" I say "Isaac" and I know as I say it that she thought that I met someone new that I hade "socaliced" my mom said "Oh okay I thought you like Isaac?" " I do . I never said I was sad I'm sad I'm jussed overwhelmed." "Oh." she says. "I understand." I say " Mom I am tired I'm going to bed. My Mother said "O.K. but first get something to eat "Okay" I say. So I grabbed a random thing out of the pantry and then go to bed.
