[Location: a few miles from the Grimm castle]

In a bullhead just outside the castle, Mercury and Emerald race back to help Cinder, some random White Fang flying the thing.

Emerald: Can't this damn thing go any faster?!

Mercury: Come dow-

Emerald: If you tell me to calm down ONE MORE TIME, I am pushing you out!

Mercury: How do you even know Cinder is back at the castle, anyway?

Emerald: All I got was this random text message from some guy called-

She reaches into her pocket and pulls out her scroll.

Emerald: 8ftblacksugardaddy... Saying 'Yo, sticky fingers, your fiery dominatrix is bleeding in the Grimm castle. Grab your Paralympic champion and get over here.'

Mercury:........ The hell's a Paralympic?

Emerald: WHO CARES!

W.F.p.: Tee minus one minute till arrival.

After arriving at the castle, the two run around trying to find someone for directions to Cinder's whereabouts. They stop to catch their  breath after running for a few minutes

Emerald: I refuse to believe that a castle this big has absolutely NO ONE IN-

Tyrian: Hello~

Emerald: AUGH! You creepy bastard!

Tyrian: So, I see Things 1 and 2 have finally arrived!

Emerald:...

Mercury:...

Tyrian: I got that one from the Mistress.

Emerald: Yeah great-do you know where Cinder is?

Tyrian: Hmm. Last time checked, I don't care. However, I'm sure the Mistress will know of her location. You will find her highness on the third floor, making her way to the study.

Emerald: Come on, Mercury!

Mercury: I find it weird that you know exactly where she is all the time.

Emerald: Let's go!

She drags him up the stairs to the study to find Salem.

[Location: the study]

The pair rush into the study covered in sweat.

Emerald: "gasp" Do you "gasp" see her?

Mercury: You know the best thing about not having real legs is that I get winded less often then-oh crap, I just figured out what a Paralympic is!

Emerald: You're very helpful. Truly you are.

They walk around for a second before seeing Salem sitting at a table, reading a book.

Emerald: "whisper" There she is.

Mercury: "whisper" Great. Now what?

Emerald: "whisper" We walk up to her and ask very nicely to see Cinder. Easy as that.

Mercury: "whisper" OK...

They continue to stand there, staring at Salem... Then they continue to stand there, staring at Salem.

Mercury: "whisper" Well?

Emerald: "whisper" She's a lot more terrifying than I thought.

Salem: If you two have something to say, say it before I lose my patients.

She says without looking away from her book.

Emerald: Well, your darkliness, we-

Salem sticks her finger up to silence her before snapping her finger and pointing to the spot next to her, never shifting her gaze. Emerald and Mercury look at eachother then back at her. They walk over and stand next to Salem.

Emerald: U-um Salem, your most evil of hellspawns, keeper of the unholy knowledge, slayer of heroes, and-and Queen of all Grimm-

Salem: Wow! You almost give better head than Tyrian! What do you want?

Mercury: "gag noises"

Emerald: W-we wish to know the whereabouts of Cinder Fall... your highness.

Salem sighs, puts a bookmark in place, and stands up.

Salem: Follow me.

As she starts walking, Emerald and Mercury follow not so close behind. They make their way to what appears to be an elevator.

Mercury: Is that an elevator?

Salem presses a button and the doors slide open. As they step inside, Mercury just glares at Emerald. They both ride up in awkward silence while Salem just stands with them in boredom.

Emerald:...

Mercury:... "cough"

Salem: No talking.

The elevator doors slide open and they step out. They walk down a hall and stop at a door.

Salem: She is through that door sleeping. Well more like comatose, same difference.

They open the door and see Cinder laying on a bed covered in a blanket. Emerald rushes over to check on her while Mercury picks up a clean bed pan.

Emerald: What happened to her?

Salem: As far as I know, she was surprise attacked by a silver eyed warrior. Completely by accident, but surprised none the less... You know, she's actually quite adorable in her sleep. Not so much when she was kicking and screaming a few hours ago. Ow, stop twisting my eye out! Oh god, there's so much blood! Help, my new arm is strangling me! Wah wah wah!

She sits in a chair and continues to read her book.

Emerald: Wait, what about her arm?

Suddenly a black claw attached to Cinder shoots from the blanket and latches itself around Emerald's neck.

Emerald: Ga-help! Help me!

Salem: Yeah! She sounded just like that! I kept telling her that she'll get full control over it in a day or two.

Mercury runs over with the bed pan and starts hitting the arm repeatedly.

Salem: Just hit the little switch on the IV bag.

Mercury drops the bed pan and rushes to the IV bag and flips the switch, letting more fluid into Cinder's system. A second later the Grimm arm goes limp on the floor, releasing Emerald from it's grip. As she catches her breath, Mercury turns to Salem.

Mercury: I have a few questions.

Salem: You get one.

Mercury:... Who's 8ftblacksugardaddy?

Salem snaps her head from the book and stares at him in confusion.

Salem:.......... How did you get my father's phone number?

Mercury: Your what now?

You: Salem!

From the doorway, a tall individual with black robes and a mask steps in with two jars filled with strange red substances.

You: Bad news, honey. We're all out of orphans blood. All we have left is widows blood and diabetes blood. Pick your poison.

He stops and looks at Emerald and Mercury as they huddle close from the sight of him.

You: Oh hey, it's Things 1 and 2.

Salem: Father, this is Emerald and Mercury.

You: Yes, we've met before.

Mercury: No, sir. I think we would have remembered someone with your intimidating stature.

The father leans towards them with an unknown smile.

You: You know, where I'm from you could lose a hand for stealing...

Both of their eyes grow wide from shock as Emerald grabs her pants to make sure they are still on her.

You: Hahahaha! But seriously, Salem. Widow or diabetic?
