Chapter 3
"Jimmy?", a small voice pierced the darkness. Jimmy groaned, as he slowly opened his eyes. For a few seconds, his vision was blurry and distorted. But then, he could see clear blue eyes staring at him in worry.
"It's okay, Gregory," he croaked, "I'm fine." The boy looked relieved. Jimmy rubbed his head as he sat up. He shook himself. How long had he been unconscious? Stretching, he turned to the child.
"How are you?", he asked. Gregory laughed. Jimmy grinned. The boy's laugh reminded him of another. It brought back good memories.
"So, what now?", Gregory inquired, a hint of mischief glinting in his blue eyes.
"We're escaping," the half demon pushed himself off the old, dusty floor, "Now be careful. This could get a little........dangerous." Gregory nodded.
"C'mon, kiddo,"Jimmy gestured for the child to follow him out the door. Together they crept through the hallways, Jimmy sniffing the air like a dog. They were in the closet. Hopefully, they wouldn't notice them.
"I'll have to take care of them," Jimmy muttered, "Best to do it without them escaping...." He looked at the boy, a strange smile widening on his face.
"I guess we'll have to lock them in."

"So how are we supposed to defeat this guy?", Katrina inquired. The three investigators were making plans in the closet. Toast had pulled out his books, and was flipping through them, while Ghost evaluated the equipment they had. What they had brought with them, could confirm the surety of life, or death.
"Well," replied Toast, "From what I've gathered, he's most definitely a demon of some sort. Possibly a level 5-7... I don't think we're strong enough to take on this one."
"Is there anything you can possibly find to at least surviving against them?", Ghost groaned in frustration. Toast looked grim. He flipped through pages, sometimes reading certain paragraphs. Then he stopped at a single page.
"Well, sir," he muttered, " There may be something here..." he read an article aloud:
"If, in any situation, the investigator is, in fact, unable to kill the demon, there is an alternative. Said investigator may be able to contain the demon if an item with the capability of 0.6537.32 or higher is available. The item may be a living creature, If necessary..."
"But, Toast," Katrina argued, "We don't have an item that's strong enough."
"Yes we do," Toast said, as he pointed to himself, "The article said we could use a living thing."
"Wait, Toast," Ghost finally understood, "You're saying we sacrifice one of us to contain that monster inside us?!"
"Yes, sir," The British man replied, "I'm afraid it's our only hope of solving this case. We know the demon is too strong to take on and kill, but we have all the supplies needed to contain it." Katrina tapped her chin in thought.
"Good idea," she finally spoke, "But what if we can't control ourselves with him inside our brains? I know none of us want to be....possessed or anything." For a while, no one spoke, as they pondered the consequences of the possibility. If they weren't careful, they could end up being killed by their own companions. Finally, the silence was broken.
"Maybe we could run," Toast shrugged, "If we can escape, we can always come back with better equipment...right?"
"That's a logical decision," Ghost tapped his chin, "But what if we get trapped inside this horrible place?
"That's when we use our plan B," Katrina replied.
"So...go team?", Ghost held out his hand. The others placed their hands on his, each individual grinning. The plan was in action.
A/N: Sorry it's so short! I'll try to make chapter 4 longer. :)
