(AUGUST POV)

We decided to jump out of a plane to get to the part of the road that Roman wanted to hit.

"Hey, Roman, you're freaking out, ain't you?" Brian asks Rome through the walkies.

"No," Rome answers.

"Yeah, you are," I say.

"I said no," Rome says.

"Listen, man, it takes a grown man to embrace his feelings. If you need to cry, just go ahead and cry. As your friend, you know I'm concerned about your well-being, which is why I took the precaution of putting some adult diapers in your glove compartment," Tej explains. Letty and I bust out laughing. I'm riding per Brian's request.

"Yo, can you just chill out, man?" Rome says.

"I have seen some crazy shit, Dom, but this really could make some waves. So if you could just try to keep it as low-key as possible, huh?" Mr. Nobody says.

"Don't I always?" Dom asks.

"Ha! Tell you what, you knock it down a couple of notches this time and I'll swap out my Belgian for a keg of Corona," Mr. Nobody says.

"You'd be doing yourself a favor, there," I say.

"Can somebody just walk me through what we're supposed to be doing?" Rome asks.

"Come on, Rome, this is your plan. You gotta embrace it," Letty says.

"No, this was not my plan," Rome says.

"Oh, yeah, here we go. Game time," Brian says.

"Roman, you need some fresh air'? Because you're about to get a whole lot of it," Tej says.

"Okay, here we go!" Dom says.

"Just when you didn't think it could get any better, huh?" Brian asks. Dom reverses out of the plane. Then Brian does followed by Letty and me then Tej. "Oh, shit!"

"Now we're moving," Dom says.

"Everybody good? Everybody make it out'?" I ask.

"Hey, Rome? Hey, what's up, man? Talk to me, come on!" Brian says.

"I can't do it," Rome says.

"The hell you can't! Come on, man! You throw that thing in reverse and get your ass out here now!" Brian says.

"Look, I can't do it, okay? Listen to what I'm saying," Rome says.

"Now isn't the time!" I say.

"Imma stay up here with the pilot. We gonna circle around and make sure we hold it down from up here!" Rome says.

"You're running out of time!" Brian says.

"The chute is guided by GPS! You don't have to do anything! Tej!" I say.

"I'm already on it," Tej says.

"Hey, man, listen. I'm sorry to let y'all down, okay'? Imma go ahead and stay up here," Rome says.

"No, brother. I'm sorry to let you down," Tej says and I laugh at his joke.

"What? What do you mean you're... Tej! What are you doing? Oh, shit! Tej! I hate you, Tej!" Rome yells as the parachute shoots out of the car and drags it out of the plane.

"Get ready! The ground's coming fast!" Dom says.

"Touchdown, baby!" Brian says. "August, are you okay?"

"Brian, you lied to Jack. Cars can fly." I say with a laugh.

"Yeah, I guess I did, but in my defense, they're technically not supposed to," Brian says with a laugh.

"Car check. Call it in." I say.

"Check," Dom says.

"Check," Tej says.

"I'm good. Let's do this," Brian says.

"Hello? Please, man. Get me out of here, somebody! No! The trees! Oh, shit," Rome says.

"Sit tight, Roman. We'll come back for you," Brian says.

"This is not the plan!" Rome says.

"All right, you got one chance to hit them here, Dom. You miss, they'll make it to their black site and they'll squeeze whatever information they need out of Ramsey. The device and your chance of ever getting Shaw will be gone for good," Mr. Nobody says.

"That ain't gonna happen," Dom says.

"I'll see you at the pickup. Ramsey will be in the bus," Mr. Nobody says.

"Then let's do this," Dom says. We drive until we are behind the bus. Tej and Letty use hooks to pull the back of the bus off. Brian then gets in front of Tej. Brian gets on the hood of his car and Tej pushes his car. Brian jumps into the back of the bus and gets Ramsey. Brian gets Ramsey to jump onto the hood of Dom's car. Deckard then comes out of nowhere and rams into Dom. Ramsey is able to get into the car.

"Letty, stay with Brian," Dom orders.

"I'm back, bitches!" Rome says as he rams into Deckard. The bus flips and starts to slide off a cliff with Brian still inside. Brian gets on the side of the bus and starts running as the bus slides. Letty drifts around the edge of the cliff right at Brian jumps off of the falling bus. Brian is luckily able to grab onto the back of Letty's car. Letty stops and Brian lands on the ground.

"You good?" Letty asks him as she gets out of the car. I run over and hug him.

"Thank you," Brian says. We all get back into the car.

"Roman, get back to the others," Dom orders.

"What about you?" Rome questions.

"Don't worry about me," Dom says. Rome catches back up to us and we meet at the bottom of a cliff that Dom is now cornered on. Dom then reverses off of the cliff. After the car lands, we rush over to it. Dom gets out.

"Looks like our demon love child worked," I say.

"That's one way down a mountain," Brian says.

"Where's Ramsey?" Letty asks. We look back to see her passed out in the car.

(AUGUST POV)

We take Ramsey to a secluded location to wait for her to wake up.

"Hello Kitty is awake," Letty says.

"She doesn't look like a hacker to me," Rome says.

"Really?" I ask slightly offended because I'm good with tech just like Tej.

"Oh, yeah? And what do hackers look like?" Tej says at the same time.

"They don't suppose to look like that. I'm just saying, like, you know how they normally wear them little weird glasses that's all crooked, and pimples all over their face from drinking soda? I mean, trust me, with a body like that, you ain't gonna park it behind a computer," Rome explains as Tej and I roll our eyes.

"How are you feeling?" Brian asks as he bends down in front of Ramsey. "Did you hit your head'? Feeling nauseous? Ears ringing? No'?"

"Where's my shoe?" Ramsey asks.

"Oh' it flew off when you crashed. If you start experiencing any of those things, let me know, okay?" Brian says.

"I don't know whether to thank you for rescuing me or kick your ass for throwing me off a cliff," Ramsey states.

"Thank us or kick our ass, huh?" Dom asks and she nods her head. "How about you tell us where that device is?"

"I mailed it to a friend. In Abu Dhabi," Ramsey answers.

"That was pretty easy. That other team would have tortured you for that information," I say.

"I didn't trust them. I trust you," Ramsey states.

"Now, why would you trust us? You barely know us," Letty says.

"I know enough. Ex-cop. Military, something like that. The way you took out them guys shows training," Ramsey says looking at Brian. "Tech guy, offended by the hacker remark, naturally." She looks at Tej. "Alpha. Mrs. Alpha. Joker." She looks at Dom, Letty, and Rome. She is about to turn to me when.

"Wrong. Double alpha. Man candy. You know what I'm saying?" Rome says.

"Man, sit your candy ass down," Tej says.

"The disrespect is real around here," Rome says.

"And she's basically all of you. Ex-cop by the way she holds herself. Also offended by the hacker remark. And looks to be the Alpha's sister," Ramsey says looking at me. "Life is binary. Zeroes and ones. Only two things keep a group like this together. Fear or loyalty. And I don't see a drop of fear among you guys."

"Very impressive. Just one thing. They're not married," Tej says while pointing at Dom and Letty. Dom and I share a look knowing the real truth.

"She's so off, it's crazy. You just gonna roll with it? You're telling me there can't be a double alpha in one group?" Rome complains.

"You work for US government?" Ramsey asks.

"We got similar interests. Tej, call it in. We're going to the Middle East!" Dome says. We get on another plane and head for Abu Dhabi. I laid down and fell asleep. I wake up and hear Brian and Dom talking so I pretend to be asleep.

"Hey, Dom. It was pretty wild on that mountain, huh?" Brian asks.

"No, it was too close. But we got the job done," Dom says.

"You know what the crazy thing is, is..." Brian starts.

"You miss the bullets," Dom says interrupting him.

"Yeah, that's messed up, huh?" Brian asks.

"Brian, I've seen you jump from trains, dive from planes. Hell, I saw your courage the day I met you," Dom explains.

"Right," Brian says.

"Want to know the bravest thing I ever saw you do?" Dom asks and Brian nods. "Be a good man to August. Being a great father to my nephew, Jack. Everyone's looking for the thrill, but what's real is family. Your family. Hold on to that, Brian." I fall back to sleep after that. We wake up then arrive at the beach we are supposed to meet Ramsey's friend at.

"It's hotter than I thought it would be," Rome says. Tej, Rome, Brian, and Dom are all sitting down. I'm sitting on Brian's lap. Letty comes up and stands behind Tej and Rome. Ramsey is in the water.

"Yeah, well, we are in the desert, so it would be hot," Tej says.

"Oh, no, I ain't talking about the weather. My, my, my. Hmm," Rome says as Ramsey stands in the ocean.

"Now, that is a woman that's worth falling out a plane for," Tej says.

"Get out of there, man, I got dibs on that. You've seen me looking at that," Rome says.

"Did you just say 'dibs?' What are you, in the fourth grade?" Letty asks.

"Man, can you just get out of there?" Rome asks Tej.

"I mean, it's a free market," Tej says.

"What are you talking about? Get out of there," Rome says.

"Rock, paper, scissors for her," Tej says and they both hold up their hands.

"Are you guys for real right now? Look at you. You both look whipped already," I say while laughing.

"You got stalker eyes," Letty says.

"I tried to call dibs on Ramsey two years ago. Her knee, my balls. Trust me, you don't wanna do that," Some guy walks up and says. "Hey! Ramsey!"

"Hello, Safar," Ramsey says as she walks over.

"I see you make some new friends," Safar says.

"Yeah, some short-tempered new friends. I need the speed drive I sent you. Where is it?" Ramsey asks.

"Oh, good. You will be pleased to know I sold it," Safar says.

"You sold it?" Ramsey asks.

"You hear that?" I ask Dom.

"I asked you to take care of it. Why on earth would you sell it? We're gonna need it back," Ramsey says.

"Impossible," Safar says.
