I was going to get into my car when I felt someone watching me from the crowd. I look around and see a pretty woman standing in the crowd watching my every move. I have a feeling that I have to talk to her, but if I do I will get into some type of trouble. She notices me looking at her and ducks into the crowd. I get in my car and we get ready to race.
"All right, back up. Back up. Let's go. Let's go." Tej says to the crowd trying to get them to back off of the street. They weren't listening to him, so I blew exhaust at them.
"Whoa!" The crowd yells.
"Back y'all asses up. Back up. Back up. Before you turn into barbecue around here. It's not a game. This is serious. All right. Back up. Back up. Get off the street. Let's go. Back it up. Back it up. Everybody keep your hands real, real clear, all right? 'Cause I got a surprise for y'all this evening." Tej says to the crowd.
Alex walks in front of the cars. She looks so much like August, it's weird. She has a green bandana in her hand, so she must be starting the race.
"Are you ready?" Alex asks and we all rev our engines.
"Ready?" She points at Suki and she revs her engine.
"Ready?" She points to the guy with the afro and he revs his engine.
"Ready?" She points to the Hispanic guy and he revs his engine.
"I know you're ready." She says as she points at me. I rev my engine as I remember the first race I had with Dom, August had done the same thing. Alex raises the bandanna into the air with a smirk on her face.
"Go!" She yells as she drops the bandanna and we're off.

I walk in front of the cars. I have a green bandana in my hand. I decide to mess with Brian a little.
"Are you ready?" I ask and they all rev their engines.
"Ready?" I say as I point at Suki and she revs her engine.
"Ready?" I say as I point to the guy with the afro and he revs his engine.
"Ready?" I say as I point to the Hispanic guy and he revs his engine.
"I know you're ready," I say pointing at Brian trying my best not to smile. He revs his engine. I remember when I did that to him in the first race he raced against Dom. I raise the bandanna into the air with a smirk on my face. "Go!" I yell as I drop the bandanna and they're off. They are racing and starting to get to the last turn in the race, so Tej calls Jimmy.
"Yo, Jimmy, hit it, baby," Tej says to Jimmy. "A'ight. Y'all see that? Told y'all I had a surprise. How do you like that for a finale?" Tej asks the crowd as we walk to the finish line, they are raising the bridge. I see the afro guy's car come over the bridge. Then Brian's shoots over the top of the bridge and the afro guy. The afro guy crashes and Brian wins. Suki comes over the bridge and when she hits the ground her front bumper comes off. Brian gets out of his car and we all walk towards him.
"Tell me y'all saw that, man. Bullet and Suki sprayed the bridge, and I need to start making y'all pay to see this shit." Tej says to the crowd as we reach Brian. "I got over 10 stacks for my man right here, a'ight?" Tej says.
"That's what I'm talkin' about, man," Brian says.
"Play with it. Smells good, don't it?" Tej asks handing the money to Brian.
"Yeah, I'll buy that. Right here." Brian answers handing Tej some money.
"Right. Y'all see this? Everybody take a real good look. This is what you call mutual respect. A'ight lets clear out." Tej says to the crowd showing them the money Brian gave him. The crowd starts to fade away, leaving Tej, Brian and I standing there. I walk over to talk to Suki, which was still in hearing range of Tej and Brian. "Hey, man. Uh.... could you do me a favor, man?" Tej asks Brian.
"Yeah, man. What is it?" Brian asks.
"If cops come, take Alex with you. I trust that you will be able to get her out of here safely, without getting caught. Then lay low for a few hours then bring her back to the garage." Tej explains.
"Yeah. Sure, man. I'll do it, but you owe me." Brian says.
"Okay," Tej says walking towards me and Suki. "Anybody down for another race?" Tej asks the crowd.
"Shit!" Suki says looking at her bumper.
"Hey, uh, make sure you bring that body by the garage later, a'ight, so, you know, we can work on that front end of yours." Tej flirts.
"Watch out. 'Cause maybe I will." Suki flirts back, kissing him on the cheek.
"Yeah," Tej says to her. He then turns to me. "It's a go." He says. I hug him and walk to stand by Brian's car. I see Monica making her way through the crowd. She looks my way and I nod.
(Brian P.O.V.)
I see the woman from earlier making her way through the crowd.
"What's up, man?" I ask stopping her. She just looks at me and smiles, then starts to walk away. "Hey, where you going?" I ask her. She stops and turns around to face me.
"It's time to get out of here." She answers smirking at me.
"Why's that?" I ask and as if on cue, police cars start filling into the street. She takes off. "Oh, shit!" I say before I run to my car and am grateful to see Alex already there. We get in and I take off.
(Alex P.O.V.)
The cops start filling in and I see Monica leave Brian. Brian starts running to the car. We get in and he takes off. This plan is working so well, now all that needs to happen, is the cops catching us.
(Alex P.O.V.)
Cops are coming from every direction, but Brian gets around every one of them.
"Nissan Skyline," Monica says through the earpieces we have, informing the cops.
"Got him." I hear a young cop say. The cop starts chasing Brian and, but crashes as Brian takes a tight turn. We get back on the main road, but there is a cop stopped in the road and others coming from the other direction. I see Markham get out of the car with a big gun in his hands. The gun shoots this prong like thing that embeds into the car and then shuts the car down.
"Shit!" I say seeing him.
"Shit!" Brian says as Markham shots it and it hits the car. "Shit.," Brian says as his car starts shutting down. The car shuts down and rams into a fire hydrant.
"Shit," I say after we hit it.
"Damn!" Brian says hitting the steering wheel.
"Let me see your hands! Put 'em up!" Markham yells as he runs over to us. Brian and I raise our hands. "This is him. We got him!" Markham says as he shines a flashlight in our faces.
(Brian P.O.V.)
Shit! They caught us. Tej is going to be so mad. They take us to separate interrogation rooms. Alex is fighting against them the whole time. Her fighting spirit reminds me so much of August. They cuff me to the chair. I just sitting there when the agent that caught us came in.
"So, how long you been in south Florida?" The guy asks.
"A while," I say not wanting to give him direct answers.
"Before that?" He asks and I don't answer. "We know you're Brian O'Conner, formerly of the L.A.P.D.." He says.
"You've got the wrong guy." I lie with a straight face.
"Really?" He asks. Then the last person in the world I expected to see comes into the room.
"How you doing, O'Conner? Let's take a walk." Bilkins says. We walk into I guess their briefing room. Agent Markham starts talking, he's the guy from earlier.
"Carter Verone. Born in Argentina. But he's lived most of his life in Miami. Now he owns the biggest import/export business in the state. Unfortunately, the cartels have been successful getting drugs into Miami. But they've had a hard time getting the cash-out. We've been watching him for a year, but we've never been able to put him and the money together. We've swept his house, his warehouses..." Markham explains before being interrupted.
"Nothing. Customs here has done a great job of getting us this far. We're just here to help get them over the top." Bilkins says.
"I was.." Markham starts but we here a commotion coming towards us.
(Alex P.O.V.)
They knew who I was but yet they put me in an interrogation room. They leave my hand's cuffed, but behind my back and not attached to anything. One of the agents comes in.
"I have to go to the bathroom," I say making him uncomfortable.
"Okay. Let's go." He says and we walk out of the room. As we get out of the room I face him and kick him in the stomach. He flies backward and hits the wall behind him and falls. I take off running to the briefing room. I know Bilkins has got to be there. A couple of agents start chasing me. I take one down and keep going. I enter the room and see the bewildered faces of Bilkins, Brian, and Agent Markham. An agent tries to grab me, but I dodge and the agent stumbles. Giving me time to tuck jump and bring my hands in front of me. The agent tries again, but this time I push him behind me and run up the rows of seats to Bilkins and sit next to him and smile.
"Nice of you to join us, Alex," Bilkins says smirking and I hold my cuffed hands up to him. He looks at Markham and he throws him some keys. Bilkins takes the cuffs off and Markham continues.
(Brian P.O.V.)
We look up to see the commotion is Alex. She has her hands cuffed behind her back and she has an agent chasing her. The agent lunges at her, but she easily dodges as the agent stumbles. Alex does some type of tuck jump, but while doing that she brings her hands in front of her. The agent tries again, but she pushes him out of the way and runs up and sits by Bilkins and smiles at him.
"Nice of you to join us, Alex," Bilkins says. Wait how does he know her? She holds her cuffed hands up to him and then he looks at Markham, who throws him some keys that get Alex out of the cuffs.
"I was able to get an agent in undercover...working travel and logistics for him. Recently Verone put her in charge of finding some new drivers and someone to manage the drivers." Markham continues.
"Right. Although we can't confirm her status right now." Bilkins says.
"You think she's flipped?" I ask.
"She's one of mine," Markham says offensive. "She's all right," Markham says.
"She's been in with Verone nearly a year. Even lives in the compound with him now." Bilkins adds.
"Look, it was the FBI's idea to bring you in here. I'm against it. But we need some good drivers....that can put this asshole and his money together." Markham says.
"You're gonna roll with Agent Dunn and Agent Wilde here," Bilkins says pointing to a guy in the corner with a Gallo drink in his hand and to Alex beside him. She set me up. She's been a cop this whole time. They must have something pretty bad on Tej to get him to cooperate.
"And if I don't?" I ask looking up at Bilkins. I see Alex smirking.
"Well, here's a list of the laws you broke in L.A.," Bilkins says handing me a folder. "Obstruction of justice, aiding and abetting. You know the rap sheet. Now, we can make this all go away in the interest of justice if you're willing to play ball." Bilkins explains. Alex gets up to move around.
"Yeah," I answer Bilkins. I see Alex smile out of the corner of my eye.
