Sooo yeah ~hi

WARNING: This chapter contains spoilers for FBTCOG...

And yes, I know it's really long, but there is a nice little surprise at the end ;)

I'm on school holidays rn, and I'm at a beach somewhere in Australia (I won't write which one), but the ocean is soo beautiful.

There are birds outside my window and they're singing and I can see the beach from where I am and it's this amazing crushing blue colour and the waves are perfect and the water is sparkling underneath the sun and there isn't a cloud in the sky and all I can see are these surfer boiis riding the waves and I'm thinking:

This is just like Rio De Janeiro.

Now, we know that Fantastic Beasts 3 is set in Rio (refer to the gif above... news travels fast, JKR), but the only knowledge of Rio I have is from movies (the one about the birds (I think it's actually called Rio) and The Fast and the Furious: Rio Heist) so I'm just watching this iconic breathtaking beach thinking I CANNOT FLIPPING WAIT FOR THE THIRD MOVIE IF RIO IS JUST LIKE THIS

And whenever I'm just walking around this ''beach city" (no, literally), I'm trying to imagine Newt or Tina or Theseus or Jacob, etc, just wandering around, almost exactly how I am and it makes me smile stupidly. I piled my theories/expectations into a list (also, a lot of them are just random things I want to see in FB3):

- AT LEAST A COUPLE SCENES WITH A BEACH IN THEM I MEAN COME ON RIO IS KNOWN FOR ITS BEACHES

- It's also known for its fabulous jewelled costumes and street parades ;) hehehehehe

- Ok, so Brazil is a hot country. Now I'm imagining Newt turning up in Rio wearing four layers of tweed coats and melting. Looks like the iconic trench coat will make less of an appearance in FB3 :(

But on another note... here we go...

In the first movie, in the scene where Newt is first inside his suitcase (with Jacob. remember?), it was originally meant to be a shirtless scene ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) but then Eddie chickened out, stuffed it up, and let all us fangirls down :(

I said it once and I shall say it again... BRAZIL IS A HOT COUNTRY. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) you can see where I'm going with this... Message to JKR: If it doesn't work in the first movie, put it in the third movie. Ya'know what I'm saying???

- Jumping from building to building (like in the Obscurus chase!)

- Actually, Rio is a third-world country, soo...

- WHAT IF THEY ALL GOT BEACH HUTS

- IMAGINE NEWT JUST WAKING UP, STRETCHING, AND LOOKING OUTSIDE AND SEEING THE BEACH RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM ASKJAKLASJ;;;NSAKF;AF;ANF;ASHDJ

- for some reason, I want Newt and Tina to make an unbreakable vow about something

- If they had palm trees in Rio... what is they wound lights around them and the trees lit up at night? I know it's maybe a bit too modern, but it'd be nice...

- STREET PARADES

- I know I already said this, but I looked at some photos on the all powerful Google and

IT LOOKS SO VIBRANT AND EXOTIC AND ELECTRIFYING- MERLIN'S BEARD I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THE FRANCHISE ROCK UP IN RIO

i'm not sure the sky would be pink though...?

Street parades. No further explanation needed, but I'll go ahead anyways.

I'm not putting any photos of the costumes, because although they are absolutely gorgeous, some of them are a little vulgar.. I'll stop there. The parades are beautiful, and we've seen scenes in other movies where there's a chase scene through a Rio street parade, and it's exhilarating and exciting, etc. And there are so many LIGHTS, and SOUNDS, and- WOW I WANT TO SEE A STREET PARADE IN FB3 DAMMIT

Ok, so for those of you who don't know, this is the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio De Janeiro.

It sits on this hill up here and overlooks the whole city. Amazing, isn't it?

I think they might have a few scenes where you can see this statue... they probably won't actually fly to Rio to film (well, they didn't for the last two movies), but they could have some kind of scene with this beautiful statue in the background?

- Ok, something I'm kinda disappointed about... in FBTCOG, they were in Paris (duh) but there weren't any scenes with the Eiffel Tower. Sure, you could see it in the background quite a bit, but idk... a chase or someone jumping from the top or... wow I need mental help XD

but still, a scene starring Paris' most famous landmark would've been nice?

- OK. SO WE KNOW THEY'RE  IN RIO. BUT!!!

*puts on scientist glasses and picks up a thick book*

Brazil is a country with a tropical climate. In Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (the book), it says that a certain creature, a LETHIFOLD, lives in tropical climates (you can see where I'm going with this)... and if you read chapter 5 of my first fanfiction, Those Days, or Newt's book, you'd know what a Lethifold looks like, but for those who are lazy (like me), here is an excerpt from Newt's book (thanks, Newt):

"The Lethifold is a mercifully rare creature found solely in tropicalclimates. It resembles a black cloak perhaps half an inch thick(thicker if it has recently killed and digested a victim), whichglides along the ground at night."

Ok, cool. BUT WAITTT! The only known spell to repel a Lethifold is... drumroll please...

THE PATRONUS CHARM.

IF THEY STUMBLE ACROSS A LETHIFOLD IN RIO, which is likely, WE. WILL. FIND. OUT. THEIR. PATRONUS. HKDLF;SHG;HJKD;SGH;SGH

I actually thought of this a long time ago, but I only wrote it down now. *heavy breathing* This might be it, fellow fangirls...

- WHY are they in Rio? Sure, they're travelling all over the world, but New York was the orientation city, Paris was because Credence joined the circus,  so Tina followed him, and Newt followed her, and etc...

but what about Rio? It probably won't be where Credence is hiding, because he joined Grindelwald, and the evil squad are all camping out at Castle Nurmengard in Austria. Maybe Albus is trying to destroy the blood pact, but something he needs to do it is stolen and the person is hiding in Brazil? Maybe it was always hidden in a secret location (Rio). Maybe it has nothing to do with a mysterious object Dumbledore needs to destroy the blood pact.

Heck, maybe Newt just wants a break from getting tied up with dark wizards and decides to go on a holiday!

- !RANDOM! I want to see:

1) Newt battling Grindelwald (y'know, like, wand dueling and everything)

2) Dumbledore battling Grindelwald (same idea)

3) Tina saving Newt for once (Newt saved her in the MACUSA death cell, then again from Kama's hideout... maybe it's Tina's time to shine soon?)

- Anyone else noticed that Tina always wears a locket? Is there something precious inside? Is it important? Maybe a piece of history?

- We saw the Elder Wand. No Resurrection Stone, no Invisibility Cloak... OH HOLD UP

WHAT IF WE SEE THE RESURRECTION STONE?!?! WHO WOULD HAVE IT?! WHO WOULD THEY BRING BACK TO LIFE?! WOULD THEY BRING SOMEONE BACK?

We could still see Leta, Tina's parents, Krall (unlikely but idc)... ARIANA?!?!

- On that note (wow, I'm on a roll!), IS LETA REALLY DEAD???

I mean, she had a slice of attention in the first movie, her story was explained a little more in the second movie, but then... she came, got a story... and died. Oh. Is she really dead?

We know Grindelwald uses Fiendfyre (that blue stuff XD), and Goyle died in his own fiendfyre (DH pt2), but is this really the end for Leta???

Maybe the only reason JKR 'killed' her was because she was a little cold towards Tina at first. I mean, this look she gave her... it made me want to kill her too!

"Who are you and why are you sneaking around the records room with my childhood friend right before the rally of the most dangerous dark wizard of all time coincidentally just as I decided to hide the evidence of my dead half-brother which is coincidentally missing from the shelf which you are coincidentally clinging on to"

But it turns out she was actually pretty nice! so that just begs the question... IS. SHE. REALLY. DEAD.

- There is a wizarding school in Brazil which coincidentally specialises in MAGIZOOLOGY

HERE IS ANOTHER REASON FB3 COULD BE IN RIO!!! WHAT IS NEWT WAS INVITED TO CASTELBRUXO AS A SPECIAL GUEST?!?! IMAGINE HAVING A REAL PROFESSIONAL MAGIZOOLOGIST TEACH YOUR CLASS!!!  What if he brought everyone with him?

IF THIS HAPPENED... SCREEE! SO PROUD OF MY LIL' BEAN!

- So... Grindelwald is essentially using Credence as a weapon against Dumbledore. As we saw at the end of FBTCOG, they can't fight each other because they made a blood pact, so Grindelwald has obviously tried to find someone else to fight him. Basically like a pokemon battle. Grindelwald is using Credence... and it seems that Dumbledore has chosen NEWT. This means that there might be a scene (or multiple scenes) in the future, where we see Credence dueling Newt!

- On that note... what about Nagini? Everyone's going to need to pick a side: Credence or Newt, i.e. Grindelwald or Dumbledore. We see Nagini is clearly against Grindelwald, trying to physically pull Credence with her. She clearly thinks he's untrustworthy, and tries to stop Credence from joining him, but he ignores her.

Now, we know that Nagini and Credence have an extremely close friendship, so when he leaves her for Grindelwald, she's devastated. Will Nagini be swayed to Grindelwald's side because he has Credence, or stick with her beliefs and stay with Dumbledore and co? If she stays with Dumbledore, then, at one point, she will have to oppose Credence, as in actually say "No, I think you're wrong. I'm with these guys." And on top of that, there's still the whole story about Tom Riddle... could he have a bit of an influence on Nagini's beliefs?

- OKAY. WHAT IF QUEENIE IS BEING FORCED TO BE LOYAL TO GRINDELTRASH BECAUSE OF SOME SORT OF POTION?! Hmm... did she consume anything weird during the film? Hmm...

OH WAIT A MINUTE

EVILL TEAPOT IZ FUL OF POIZONN DAT GON' TURN QUEENIE TO DA DARK SIIDEEEEE

idk it just a theory XD

- OR. Could Queenie be a double-crosser? Could she be spying for Dumbledore? When she walked through those flames, it looked like she was in a lot of pain. Maybe she was, because she wasn't truly loyal to Grindeltrash. THEN AGAIN, she could've pledged her loyalty, but not entirely, as in, she was still unsure about joining him.

DOES THIS MEAN THAT QUEENIE COULD BAIL OUT ON GRINDELWALD AND CO. AND GO BACK TO JOIN DUMBLEDORE'S DANK SQUAD?!?!?!

I know I probably bored you to death, now it's time for some flippin' useless, hilarious, impossible, crazy theories...

- They go surfing.

And Tina's just surfing like a flippin' pro, and Newt's struggling, and she just sweeps past him on a surfboard and she's just like "sup?" and he gets wiped out XD

- OR, Newt's trying to surf, and Tina's watching him from the beach, and taking photos on her phone, and videoing him failing over and over again.

- (modern AU idea lol) imagine Newt trying to take selfies with all these tropical Brazilian birds, and in every photo, you can see Tina looking really bored in the background XD

- Back to the surfing idea... I just imagined Theseus and Newt wearing board shorts and holding surfboards XD :'''>

- "Can we keep her?"

"No, Newt. You have enough creatures."

"Pleeaase? She's injured!"

"Newt..."

"PLEEAAASE?!"

"...fine."

~~ One hour later ~~

"Tina, she just bit me again."

"That's the seventeenth time?"

"Eighteenth."

- Theseus constantly teasing Newt about Tina and trying to set them up

- Imagine Theseus just sauntering up to his little bro, draping his arm around him and indicating Tina with a flick of his head. "So... who's she?"

- Whenever Tina and Newt are in the room together, or just talking, Theseus goes out of his way to interrupt them and act like he thought they were making out or something..

-  "Hey Newt, are you- OH ARE YOU BUSY?"

"Uhh- no."

"WELL, I'M SORRY FOR INTERRUPTING YOUUUU!"

"Theseus-"

"NO, NO... PLEASE... CARRY ON!"

"Theseus!"

"HAVE FUN, YOU TWO!"

- Newt puts on sunglasses, and catches Tina looking at him weirdly multiple times, and when he finally asks her what's wrong, she says "You're wearing them upside-down."

- Newt builds a sandcastle, and he finishes it and he's so proud of it and then Tina jumps on it.

- Vice-versa

- Newt and Tina getting into a really heated sandcastle-building-contest

- Neither of them wins, because Theseus jumps on both of them
