We'd barely been asleep an hour when we were rudely awakened by voices. Different voices from last time, though. The three of us watched silently. The voices were too far away to make out, but I could tell that there was a boy and a girl. And they were headed towards us.

"What do we do?" Whispered Dallas, his face pale from the moonlight. 

"Sh!" Nico clamped his hand over the older boy's mouth. 

The unidentified boy and girl came out from behind some bushes, the girl obviously leading. A third person followed them silently. I could see that the girl had long curly blonde hair, and the other two had dark hair. 

"You know what?" The blonde girl said. "Im done with you two morons." She turned away from her allies. 

"Annabeth!" The unidentified person placed a hand on her shoulder. Their voice sounded male. "Don't be like that."

"I'm just trying to stay alive!" Annabeth argued. 

"Johnny said we don't have to worry about them, remember?" The other boy said. "They're too busy looking for the girl from twelve to bother with us." I recognized this voice. It was Ponyboy Curtis from District Three. And his partner Annabeth was with him. Which probably meant the other guy was Percy. 

"It's better to attack them before they attack us."

"But there's four of them and only three of us!" Percy whisper-shouted. 

"Actually there's four of us. You're forgetting Johnny." Annabeth snapped. 

"They're awful close." Dallas whispered a little too loudly. 

The three by the bush turned and looked at the tree we were in. "Who's there?" Ponyboy called. 

Nico gestured for us to stay there as he hobbled out of the tree. "Just me." He said. "I won't hurt you." He put his hands up. Man that kid is stupid. 

"Who else is in that tree?" Annabeth narrowed her eyes at the small boy. 

"Two people." Nico confessed. "They won't hurt you unless you attack us." 

"OMG, Nico! Are you trying to get us killed?" I said very loudly.

Dallas clamped a hand over my mouth. "Shut up!" He whispered. 

"Tell them to come out here." Annabeth ordered.

Reluctantly, Dallas and I slowly stepped onto the ground. 

"That all?" It was clear now that Annabeth was the leader of her group. 

"Yeh." I say, hoping she didn't decide to chuck one of her razor-sharp spears at me. 

We stared at eachother for a while until a cannon brought us back. "Do you know where the stream is?" I ask dumbly.

Annabeth laughs. "There's no stream around here."

"But we hear water." 

"The gamemakers made that sound happen everywhere! There's only one stream in the whole arena and it's miles from here!" 

"Oh." I look at my feet.

"You can have some of ours." Ponyboy generously tossed a full bottle of water to me. I took a drink from it and handed it to Dallas, who snatched it and took several large gulps of it before giving the last of it to Nico. 

"Thanks." We say in unison. 

"No problem." Ponyboy said.

"So are we allies now or something?" Percy spoke up. 

We looked at eachother again and all decided to join up. 

The six of us begin to get settled in the tree and Annabeth says, "first thing in the morning, we get the careers."

"What?" Exclaimed Dallas. "Are you mad?" 

"We've gotta get them before they get us!" Then Annabeth and Dallas had a hushed argument about whether we should attack the careers. 

Before they could come to an agreement, I fell right asleep.
