'I--' She stammered. 'I'm I--
'WHY WERE YOU SO EAGER TO FIND THE FALLEN QUEEN CECILA?' Ryan sounded like thunder. His voice deep, threatening, and grumbling.
'Because she is the traitor herself isn't she?' I felt Aspen's words go bitter for the first time.
'I can explain.' She said at a go. I did what I always do, do a lot more often, I held her up in the air, chocked. But this time, I swayed my hand around her neck in circles and she screamed hysterically.
'Marvella-' Matilda started but stopped anyway.
'Perhaps now you can. Explain.' I said sternly.
'My magic, please.' She cried.
'Thank your stars that I haven't killed you in the most painful way possible. SPEAK!'
'I'm not the traitor, no. But the woman, the one who technically got Nathaira killed, she.' She stopped and took a huge breath, she chocked midway although, but I don't care. 'She was my mother. I'm sorry. That is why I wanted to find the Fallen Queen because my mother's last wish was to let the Queen know what she had caused. She was guilty that it started all the fuss in the first place.'
I let her go, as she regained her balance with much difficulty. I freed her magic again.
'Thank you, th--
'It was your mother, not you. I have no right to punish you for something someone else did, even if it was your mother. Cecila, apart from that, I'm not happy how you have continued ruling. I saw recklessness in your eyes that day, and I must say I was disappointed. I understand emotions but don't let them come between you and your leadership. Now, how has your progress been Varya?'
'I'm pretty good, I'm improving.' She smiled. 'Also, I wrote a sequel to the books I wrote. If you do not...' Her voice trailed off.
'Can I make one thing clear? I'm still Karishma, although change is evident, you guys are still my friends and mentors okay? Yeah, I've gotten a bit stricter, but that's what my mission demands, other than that, I'm Riya, come on! And Varya, we all shall read that book together. And keep working on books, you know I was your book's first fanfiction writer and I'm still the biggest fan.'
Everyone grinned and laughed for a minute, forgetting about whatever cruel was happening all around, and I would do anything to bring the lively Etis back.
I would wipe Zachariah and Nathaira off existence. I understand Nathaira's sorrow, I truly do, I regret my actions, but it gives her no free pass to try and dominate both the living worlds.
'Queen, while you were gone, we planted a flower and nurtured it, dedicated to you. It's beautifully blooming now, would you like to see it?' Mat asked, he was being considerate to me now at least, and it made me happy. We had had differences, minor differences in the past but they had finally unfolded and had been solved.
Strength in Unity. Unity in Strength.
'Sure, let us all go, I want to see how it looks.' I smiled and we all left for Nature's village. The Season Sisters didn't join us, as they had stayed away from their houses for too long, and they needed to look into the regulation of the weather.
The flower bloomed beautifully. It was orange in color and its pistils were arranged like a crown, golden in color. The night was starry and in it glowed the flower, giving of pale but beautiful yellow light.
'I must say, I'm elated to see this flower, it truly is attractive.' I nodded as I swayed my hands around it, yellow glittery dust circling it. 'No one shall ever lay a finger on it, it shall be always protected. Eons later, our future will see this beautiful past; and remember the Fallen Queen.'
'It has your aura, that magnetic charisma which you carry all the time, I love you, Karishma Renaud, you are truly my Queen.' Ryan kissed me on my forehead, and I just took a moment to close my eyes and feel him. His full lips pasted on my forehead and his black hair brushed through my face minutely.
'Guys!' Aspen wailed as she desperately tried to fight off serpents coiling on the ground beneath us and the Eagle eyes men flying in the air and throwing small daggers all over. The village went into chaos as everyone immediately started using their magic to defend.
Ryan pasted his lips on mine and we entwined our tongues and he held my chin with a hand while I stroked his hair with one of mine, while we fended off the evil with our free hands. Our eyes glowed into its brightest and we looked into them, both of us exploring the worlds under them.
It was about fifteen minutes we shielded and fought while we kissed, in the middle of the village, and I was so proud I fell in love with Ryan Roy.
'They're too many.' Deisy shrieked. 'How would we?'
She was indeed right. Ryan slashed with swords both on his hands now, but they kept coming anyway. I saw everyone straining slowly, even I could say the same for myself.
'We shall win this time, Fallen Queen.' One of the many men said, snickering.
'Yes hai--
A large net spread over the entire area and trapped all the eagles flying in it, and they crumbled into the sand right in front of our eyes. A strange sound echoed in the environment and instantly all the snakes slithered away hurriedly.
'Who did that?' I looked around.
'This might be a well-laid trap.' Mat raised his sword and looked around.
'I agree with Mat.' Ryan moved right in front of me, his eyes glowing. His instincts were to defend me, and I can't help but like it. I had a lot of old Karishma left in me, after all.
'Bonjour Riya, long time no see.' A voice very familiar to me spoke. 'Hi folks, this is Raphael Renaud, the kid who was stranded, big time.'
