Princess Luna is confronting Sera, who is seated above the angels that make up the court together with Adam and Lute, who are grinning, in Heaven's Courthouse. Princess Luna is bound by golden chains. Celestia, who was trying hard to get close to her younger sister, ended up in the clutches of angel guards. There as they attempted to assist Luna is Twilight Sparkle and friends.

"Princess Luna, Angel of the Night, you are here for questioning everything about Heaven and for putting yourself into other people's business when it's not yours. Especially when asking about Hell." Sera stated, looking down at her.

"Yeah! And for spying on us!" Adam added arrogantly.

"Adam." Sera warned him, making him shrink.

"S-Sorry..."

Sera went back to face Luna, who gave her a stare that was tinged with sadness and betrayal but said nothing. As Sera utters those words that caused Celestia and others' blood to freeze, she appears remorseful.

"As much as it pains me to say this, you are hereby banished to the pits of Hell."

"NOO!!!" Celestia screamed, finally freeing herself from the guards and getting in front of Luna. "Please! That's my sister! We belong together! We're family! Please don't take her away from me!"

"...I'm sorry, Celestia. But it has been decided along with the elders. We can't risk it." Sera said, turning away.

Tears spill down from Celestia's cheeks as she sniffs.

"C-Can you please just let me say goodbye to her?"

This made Sera sigh and nod.

"Very well. You have one minute."

Celestia nodded and turned back to Luna, who's also crying. She hugged her little sister tightly as possible.

"I love you, my little sis. You know that."

"I know. And I love you too, big sis." Luna nodded, leaning her head against Celestia's neck to show that she is hugging back.

Celestia looked over at Twilight and others who are also crying. She nodded to Cadance to come over as Cadance came over with something in her hands. Cadance kneel down and held it out to reveal a guard goose, who squawked.

"For your own little companion to remember us. His name is Gal. He will protect you." Cadance said, placing the goose next to Luna.

"I love him. Thank you." Luna smiled.

After giving Luna a quick embrace, crying Cadance ran to her husband Shining Armor, who consoled her. Then Celestia handed her a bag and placed it around Luna. Into her ear, she whispered.

"I placed an orb inside so that you can communicate with me and we'll see each other more through it."

This made Luna smile. Celestia smiled back before hugging her one last time and pulling away as soon as the time ran out.

"Take care of yourself, Celestia. You too as well, everyone. Tell Emily that I will always care for her." Luna said, facing them before glaring up at Sera.

Sera nodded to Adam as he happily snapped his fingers to open a portal to Hell. Lute pulls out her sword and goes to aim towards her wings when Sera stopped her.

"Stop, Lute. Let her keep her wings."

This shocked Lute.

"But your Majesty—"

"She understands that she is not eligible to enter Heaven. And I want to be merciful. I don't want her to suffer the damage. It's bad enough her family is already sad and I don't want that. Remove the chains." Sera declared.

Lute eventually gave in and took off the chains from Luna, then yanked her arm to make her stand. As Luna took one final look at her family, Lute began dragging her in the direction of the portal.

"I love you all." she said before being pushed into the portal.

Then, when Luna was pushed inside, the portal vanished. Twilight and other people consoled Celestia as soon as she broke down on her knees in despair and sobbed into her hands. Feeling guilty, Sera closed her eyes and took off.

"I'm sorry..."

Luna opened her eyes to find herself on a hill, where she saw that everything was darker and more red, even the sky. She stood up slowly and glanced around, seeing a Pentagram City with the words "Welcome to Hell" written on it. When she gazed up at the sky once more, she saw what she assumed to be Heaven: a red pentagram sun or moon with a ball of light next to it. Luna started to cry again at this point because she realized that she was once again alone, just like when she had been exiled to the moon.

She heard Gal squawk, which she recognized, and looked down to see that he was still there. He tried to console her by pressing his face up to her thigh, which made her smile. Luna stroked the geese, then looked into the bag she was carrying and noticed a white orb. After that, she secured her bag and took in the surroundings.

Sighing, Luna began her journey as she start walking along with Gal. She stops, looks around. Catches her breath and sings...

The moon glows bright on my kingdom tonight
But I'm nowhere to be seen
It's lunar isolation and it looks like I'm the queen
My stars are glowing, unappreciated now
I tried to keep it in, but I don't know how

Using her magic, she creates two stone statues of alicorns, herself and Celestia as a memory when they're rulers of Equestria.

She then created a bridge for her to cross as an entrance.

Luna starts marching, looking confident.

It's funny how some distance makes everything seem small
The Seraphim that controlled me can't get to me at all
I'll get her back, I'll get her soon
You can call me Princess Nightmare Moon
No right, no wrong, no rules for me
I'm free...

She begins creating a water fountain from her moon magic before running off.

Luna slams her foot down and forms a giant moon symbol.

Let the night rage on...

(Ha ha ha ha!)

In a flurry of creative release, she raises the moon symbol on beams, builds walls, archways, a glistening chandelier, and an intricate ceiling that leaves the sky visible. She even creates a throne for herself to sit on.

My power flows into the nightmares of each soul
I'm starting to feel like the villain in this episode
The darkness covers over everybody's screams

Standing firmly in her mighty moon palace, Luna removes her angelic moon crown and throws it.

No you don't want me back, I'm evil now it seems...

Luna starts her transformation as she shape-shift into Nightmare Moon and her dress changes into armor like battle dress along with her crown.

I'm the princess of the night

Luna struts onto out onto a balcony and into the red light. She's free.

I'll be causing all this fright
Fear me now! No more light of day
Let the night rage on...
The dark never bothered me anyway

She turns and slams her palace door shut.
