Set the traps

*Naruto's Point of view*

It was the day after meeting Gaara. I jumped out of bed in excitement even though yesterday's events kept replaying in my head, I found the strength to get out of bed.
Because it was finally the day my loyal right hand man, Sai is released from the hospital.

He was in the hospital, unconscious for months. Now he's finally returning home to me. It was as if everything was finally returning to my old life, as if Sasuke's touch never once corroded my journey.

I was walking down the stairs when I noticed Kiba was already chewing on his breakfast. "Good morning! You're up early. You looked like hell yesterday, so I thought of letting you sleep in." My business partner muttered with his mouth full as he left the dining table to get me a share of breakfast.

I shook my head as I took my seat across from him, "No way! Sai is coming home today. I wouldn't miss it for the world."

He chuckled as he placed my plate full of food in front of me, "Man, I am almost jealous of him."

After Kiba and I gobbled down our filling breakfast, our chauffeur drove us to the hospital. When we entered Sai's private ward, he was already on his feet and packing his belongings. I ran over and snatched his duffle bag out of his hand while Kiba grabbed hold of his belongings.
"Why are you up? You should have waited for us to help you!" I chided Sai, who was still moving around weakly.

He smiled faintly, "How could I let my king do this for me?"

I folded his clothes, looking down at them, a strong feeling of remorse and regret ate me up from the inside. "I am too weak to be your king. I am not worthy. I couldn't even protect you.." My hands slowed down, before I finally paused, letting out a heavy hearted sigh as I recalled everything that had happened leading us right here.

I felt a light pat on my shoulder as if Sai was comforting me. "Well then, I too, am too weak. I was unable to protect you too."

I looked up from the mess of clothes, facing the man who went through thick and thin with me. He was always there, loyal and ready to risk his life for me. I owe him too much. And it's a debt that I can't repay.

Now that I know how important loyalty is..
No amount of money can achieve genuine loyalty.

I embraced Sai tightly in my arms, squeezing him closer to me. My eyes were almost watering. My heart is so full.. I'm so happy, through these obstacles I was able to find who was true to me.

Kiba halted packing, his eyes diverted to us. "Gosh, now I'm really jealous of him.."

The next weeks after Sai returned home, Kiba and I held multiple emergency meetings with a selected few members. We had to plant a few moles inside Gaara's gang. But we knew it was going to be quite a long process.
They had to go through the recruitment evaluation  before entering successfully. Some of our guys managed to pass them and the remaining few failed.

But the ones that had aced the test still had to work their way up to be seen as trust worthy before they could have a turn at guarding Gaara's building where he slept.

And hopefully..
Just hopefully sasuke will come.

It took about three months before 2 of my men managed to be listed as a higher tier member. They both could finally have a chance at guarding Gaara's building. Now with the trap set in place, all we're left to do is wait.

There was no information that Sasuke have visited Gaara the last few months, so we can only predict Sasuke will come soon. The months leading up to today, I have made plenty of efforts to cause ruckuses and riots between gangs to make sure Sasuke knows I'm not dead.

I'm well alive and violently kicking.
And I dare you to come find me, Uchiha.

"Naruto.. Someone's at the door." A voice awoke me from my slumber. I opened my eyes and shot out of bed for a number of reasons. Firstly..
"Why are you out of bed, Sai?! You should be resting to recuperate properly!"

"It's someone important, Naruto."  Sai had a serious look on his face, even more serious than usual.

Secondly, who was it?
