Betrayed

* Sasuke's Point of view *

Just like that, I won. I achieved in taking all of Naruto Uzumaki's territory.

"Sasuke Uchiha, thank you for sparing my life. I will be forever grateful to you." The man bowed in front of me. "I couldn't let a man like you go to waste." I smirked, my fingers tapping on the glass table.

"Now, Rock Lee. I need you to do something for me.."

* Naruto's Point of view *

I was having lunch with Sakura, she was awfully quiet. It was really unusual of her, she is really becoming so cold and distant towards me. I know I deserve my punishment but this is too much for me to endure. I really need her with me now..

"Sakura.." I stopped eating, looking at her in the eyes. "I know you're still hating me for it but I have to let you know I'm truly, sincerely and genuinely sorry for hurting you!" I poured out my feelings, I left my seat to embrace her but she brushed me off. "It's fine. I have long forgotten about it already." She uninterestedly replied while she finished up her meal.

"Then why are you treating me this way?" I squatted beside her chair, unable to touch her. I wanted an explanation of her attitude towards me. "Treating you in what way?" She coldly stood up and went to change.

I hastily caught up to her but she shut the bedroom door in my face before I had the chance to enter. "You're so cold towards me.." I pouted outside, folding my arms. "Cold? Is it because we haven't had sex in forever?" She ignorantly answered.

"What?! No!" I blushed.

She finally opened the door in a new set of designer's clothing and bag. "Hey, where are you going?" I was more worried for her than her spendings. I ran after her while she unlocked the door. "Out.. And remember to throw out the broken tv." She closed the door as soon as she said it. By the time I was opened the door, she was in the cab already.

Just like that I was left on my own again.

I spent all night drinking the left over alcohol I had in my fridge at home. I knocked out around 4AM and Sakura was still not home yet.

Because of the alcohol and how late I dozed off, I woke up in the afternoon on Sakura and I's anniversary. Crap! She's going to kill me for it!

Or at least the Sakura I knew would.

I exited the bedroom and looked around for Sakura at home. "Sakura darling?" I called out and my voice spread throughout the empty house with no response. Don't tell me she didn't come home?

But the clothing she wore yesterday were dumped in the laundry basket. She went out again? On our anniversary? Without me?

Maybe she's buying an anniversary present for me. I have mine right here, I chuckled to myself. I bought this diamond ring for her before my life went to shit. I was planning to propose to her on our first anniversary. I know it's stupid, we're only together for a year. But I'm stupidly infatuated with her. I thought to myself as I elatedly gazed at the ring.

I can't wait to marry her.

Just then, my phone rang. I looked at it hoping it was Sakura but instead it was Rock Lee. And the name of him wouldn't bring good news. Like hell he would congratulate me on being one year with Sakura. I picked up the phone, dying to know what more worse could happen.

"What's up, Bushy brows?"

"It's Sakura! It's Sakura! I saw her being followed by a group of men in Vice Central Mall!" He was out of breath when he reported to me, I was glad I still had a reliable men like Rock Lee. I shoved the diamond ring back into my pocket.

"Keep your eyes on her, I'm on my way!" Without a second wasted, I jumped into my car and sped off to the mall.

I parked my car in the carpark and bolted into one of the country's largest mall. I was running and scanning through the floors thoroughly. But there was no sight of Sakura. I tried calling Rock Lee, but the call wouldn't go through.

Dammit, Lee. Where is she now?!

I scrolled down my contact list and hit Sakura's name. The familiar ring tone played behind me.

I turned around and caught a glimpse of Sakura about twenty feet away from me. She looked at her phone, annoyed, silenced it and slid it back into her pocket. She was with another man.. The face I couldn't see because of the crowd.

I chased after her, pushing my way through the horde, "Sakura!"

She fearfully turned back, startled. "Naruto..?" I was finally in their sights, as I stared at her dead in the eyes, heartbroken.

The man she was holding hands with was my archenemy.

Sasuke

Uchiha

Rock Lee, did you purposely wanted to come here so I could see this?

"You motherfucker!" I screamed in public, everyone turned their heads to look at the commotion. Sasuke didn't seemed surprised at all, instead he looked so smug. His hand around her waist.

I charged towards the Uchiha and swung at him but he easily dodged it. "There's no need to make a scene." He uttered.

"Why Sakura? Why must you do this to me?!" I dropped to my knees, feeling the agony in my heart. It was so painful, it was fucking unbearable. I didn't care if everyone was looking at me. I just wanted to know why my girlfriend did this. I trusted her.

I felt so betrayed by someone I hold so dearly to my heart. She was my everything. Now she's actually hugging with the one that took everything away.

I frowned with tears streaming down my face as my teeth gritted and my fists clenched.

Sakura.. Why.

I wanted to marry you.

"Today's our anniversary.. Do you remember, Sakura? On this day, last year I asked you to be mine.. And only ..mine.." My voice cracked with my sorrow, the hard lump in my throat grew.

Now I know who that familiar scent was from. I recalled Sasuke's smell from our encounter in the hospital when he was... "near to me".

She gasped as if she had forgotten, her guilt expression displayed on her face as she was speechless for her dishonest act.

I lost to Sasuke Uchiha.

I even lost Sakura to him..

I am truly alone.
