*Naruto's Point of view*

Gunshots echoed the bed room.
Shino and I shot as soon as he swung the broken door open.

Shino was shot in his chest with my revolver.
And Sakura was shot from behind, the bullet lunged into her stomach.

She was slumped over my window, now unconscious as she was attempting to escape. Her blood staining my window pane with red droplets slowly making its way to the ground.

Shino laughed weakly, holding his chest wound as he drew my attention back to him from Sakura.

"I'll get Sakura to the hospital." Kiba snatched my unconscious ex girlfriend and jumped out of the second storey with her in his arms, I could then hear him on his motorcycle, speeding off.

I walked over and squatted down right beside Shino, who was now bleeding out from his chest no matter how much pressure he put on his injury. "Why Sakura?! Why not me?! Kill me instead you bastard!" I held him from his collar, pulling him to my face. I was mad and confused.

It was suppose to me..
Her lifeless body slouching on that window pane...

Fuck..
If anything happens to Sakura..

"Sasuke.. said so." He mumbled, chuckling as if mocking me when he noticed my distressed face.

I knew it. I fucking knew it. Sasuke had also approached Shino, just like he did with Gaara.
But why Sakura now..?

So.. he knew Gaara would not act on it, because Gaara was fearless and he was running a bigger gang.

Then, he sent Shino after Sakura and I.

But if he had already predicted Gaara wouldn't do his bidding.. Why go after Gaara?
And still, why Sakura? Did he predict this?
None of this makes sense.

It was like being a step closer to the truth, but I take two more steps back with even more questions.

"But Sasuke sent you to kill me! So, why Sakura?! Tell me!" I pulled him violently closer to my face, this was my chance now to get a step closer to the truth.

"Go.. fuck.. yourself.." He continued weakly laughing at me, coughing out blood and spitting it on my face.

I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down again, I can't let my emotions get the better of me again and let chance slip away. Shino might die within minutes, I need to know everything he has on Sasuke.

"...Tell me.. Why is that god damned Uchiha after Sakura..?" I jabbed my gun into his jaw, threatening to blow his brains out.

"Over.. my.. dead body." He glared at me intensely as he coughed again.
"FUCK! You really want to fucking die that bad?!" I was so close to pulling the trigger until gunshots aimed towards me interrupted my kill.

Shino's men were running and shooting at me, preventing me to kill their boss.

Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!

"Argh!" I threw Shino towards them as bait and shield while I swiftly jumped out the window. Even though they were distracted with saving their leader, it was still odd that not even a single member came after me.

A car honked aggressively at me, distracting me from my thoughts and questions, who was it? Were they trying to alert Shino's men that I got away?

I squinted my eyes to see behind the tinted windows..

It was Sai in the driver's seat, ready with the get away car..

Sai..

"Are you alright, Sai?!" I asked as I got into the car. I felt really apologetic. He was suppose to be recovering but now.. it seems like the entire world is after us. And it's all because of one man.

Sasuke Uchiha.

"I'm fine and I'm not sure why. Something's fishy." He said as he focused on the road, speeding through traffic. I agreed as I rang up Kiba, asking which hospital Sakura was admitted to.

"Don't come yet. Shino's men might tail after you.. its best not to take any chance that... might expose Sakura's location. I don't know why... but I believe that shot at her was... intentional. He wanted her dead, ... not you." Kiba whispered into the phone, he sounded very wary and paranoid of his surroundings with his often pauses which I assumed he took that second to look around him.

It was like my nightmare was real and solidified. But why Sakura..?

"I noticed that too.. But first, how is Sakura?" I sighed as I rolled down the car window, smoking my last remaining cigarette.

"Her condition has been stabilised... The operation of getting the bullet out from her stomach was successful... Don't worry too much." Kiba softly said over the phone.

"As long as you're there with her. Take care of her and yourself. We're not out of the woods yet." I commanded.

Kiba seconded to what I said before hanging up. Heaving another heavy sigh, I tossed my cigarette bud out the window.

Look at the mess we're in again.
Just when I thought I escaped you, Sasuke.
Even when you're not around, you're still messing with me.

How are you able to screw with organisations when you're on your own?

Even when I have everything, it seems like I'm still no match for you.

My fist clenched together in anger.
I felt absolutely worthless again. I wasn't able to protect someone I love again.
First it was Sai,
Then Kiba..
Now it's Sakura..

I seem to destroy everyone that's near me.
Again, it's all because of one man.
And he keeps fucking ruining my life and the lives around me.

I will kill you, Sasuke Uchiha.
