Magnus woke up with a soft smile creeping on his face seeing Alec lying right on top of his chest with his hand draped around his torso. The ring over Alec's finger glistening under the sunlight and he smiles widely. He softly peck his lips over the top of Alec's raven curls and he stirs in his sleep. "Morning fiancé." Magnus whispered planting more kisses on his forehead as Alec raised his head to look at him in the eyes. There's a wide smile over his face when he sees Magnus the first thing in the morning, "Morning fiancé." Alec replies before Magnus pressed his lips over Alec's lips.

Alec can feel Magnus' kisses became more heated when he let his mouth fell opened, Magnus took the liberty sticking his tongue inside his mouth. He moaned feeling his member hardened at the contact and Magnus didn't missed any seconds of it.

Alec walked in to the room seeing the only person there, is only the nurse and Blue alone and he didn't seem to notice anyone else that resembles his family members.

"Can I have a minute?" He asks the nurse and she nods, "Two minutes." She says and locked the bed before she headed out leaving Magnus and Alec alone with Blue. He still seem frightened at Magnus presence but somehow Alec had reassured him that Magnus will never hurt him.

"Hey, ready?" He asks as soon as he sat down on the chair next to him and Blue shook his head weakly. "Are you taking me now?" He asks and Alec looked up to meet Magnus' gaze who shared the same expression as him. "Blue I need to asks, where do you think I will take you? What did the angel told you?" He asks him and Blue exhaled weakly leaning against his pillow. "The angel. They told me you would help, aren't you?" Alec sighed pressing his lips together before he could mutter an answer.

"Darling, I don't know why the angel told you that but I'm just a guy. I don't have that kind of power. I'm sure it's probably a dream that you had." He tried to reason with him but the look on Blue's face broke him. "Blue I need to asks you something." Alec starts as Magnus came to his side wrapping his arm over his shoulder.

"Where's your family? Aren't they gonna see you before the surgery?" He asks and Blue kept his gaze towards his small little finger fiddling over the loose thread of his blue teddy bear, it looked worn and probably he had it for years.

"They all died." Blue explains briefly and Alec felt his heart shattered in pieces. "I'm an orphan. I don't want to have the surgery. I want to go." Blue says turning his body to face Alec and Magnus by his side. "Go where Blue?" Magnus asks and Blue had his gaze turned towards Magnus although he can see the fear in his eyes, he tried to be brave. "With you. To heaven." He claims and Magnus sighed longly at this conversation.

"Blue, Heaven isn't like Disneyland you can come to visit anytime you want." Magnus starts and Alec can feel the frustration in his voice, "What's Disneyland?" He asks and Alec turned his head over Magnus' pressing his lips giving him a pleading look. Magnus couldn't quite understand this boy but he seemed to remind him of someone. "Where have you been staying, all these years?" He asks and Blue shrug his shoulder leaning himself back on the pillow,

"The streets. The old lady has a nice tent." He says almost like a whispered and Alec huffed in disbelief. "Then I got sick, she didn't know what to do, she has no money, so she dropped me here." He explained further and Alec can feel Magnus gripped over his shoulder tightened and by the time their eyes met, Alec's are filled with tears.

"Can you help him?" Alec asks whispering and it got Blue attention. "Will you help me?" He asks and both Alec and Magnus gaze turned towards him on the bed but before he could say anything, the nurse came back, "Okay baby Blue, time to go." She says pulling the brakes with her feet and Blue turned to look at Alec next to him. He grabbed Alec's hand tightly in his and Alec could feel the fear coming from him, "Everything will be alright Blue, I will be right here when you got out and you won't be alone. I'm right here waiting for you." Alec promised him and Blue slowly released his grip over Alec's before his eyes turned to look at Magnus. He didn't say anything else but Magnus couldn't get the image of the small frail boy in his mind years ago and tears starts pooling in his eyes. He saw the nurse pushed him away to the operation room and the moment they are out from the room, he broke in tears.

"Hey." Alec cupped his cheek wiping away the tears from his eyes before he returned the gaze towards him, "I'm sorry." He says and Alec nods, "Is it the homeless or the orphan part?" He asks briefly and Magnus smiles at him before he broke into more tears. "Neither, it's Raphael." He barely could get the words out before he broke into more sobs and Alec didn't waste any time before he pulled him into a tight hug.

They waited for hours, literal hours before the nurse came back into the room to tell Alec and Magnus. "I don't really know who you were but you're the closest thing he has for a family so I'm just gonna tell you. The surgery got complicated." She starts and Alec stood from the chair with his hand gripped harder in Magnus.

"The mass was too big and too messy, they barely could get anything out but he crashed. They did CPR for almost two hours but it seems pointless. I'm so sorry but Blue's dead." The nurse told him and Alec gasped in horror of hearing the word. "No, no. He shouldn't- he can't be-" Alec mumbles feeling his hand shaken after hearing the news.

"We will pushed him to the morgue soon and you guys can see him there." The nurse says before she left the room and Alec broke down on the floor crying over the boy he barely knew. Magnus shed the same tears he shared with Alec before he kneeled next to him and pulls him to his chest. They both cried over the boy they just met not realizing the lost they felt is unbearable.

Alec sat by the chair in the room trying to fill out the death notification form in his hand considering he barely knew him, no last name, no address, no phone number and here he thought he would ease the process only that he find it more stressful than he already is.

"Babe." Magnus called as soon as he entered the room returning Alec's attention towards him. A single tear fell on his cheek as he blinks and he wiped it off almost immediately. "Wanna go see him?" He asks and Alec sighed holding on the empty paper in his hand. "He was adamant on going to heaven, I should have known." Alec mutters and Magnus sighed wrapping his arm over his shoulder.

"You couldn't have known." He says and Alec shook his head letting his tears fell on his cheek down on the paper. He felt dizzy thinking about this and Magnus took the liberty of pulling the paper away from his hand. "Let's go see him and gave him a final goodbye." He whispered and Alec nods weakly at him.

When Alec stood up from the chair following behind Magnus as they walked down the hallway, his dizziness grew and he could almost see Blue running through the hallways right before him, "Blue?" He whispered seeing him turned to a different direction and Alec follows.

"Blue, come back." Alec calls seeing him running passing by the people and Alec couldn't catch up on his little run. It was only then he saw him stopped holding on to someone's hand and he turned to give Alec his last smile, "Raziel." Alec whispered and Raziel stares at him with a wide smile on his face.

Alec felt the dizziness more consuming him and he felt his knees wobbled trying to hold on to his grip on the ground. But he didn't managed to hold on to support himself and finally he collapsed on the ground before darkness welcomed him like an old friend. "Alec!"

He could feel breeze brushes off Alec's face almost felt like spring wind coming. He flutters his eyes opened to see the beautiful blue sky above him and not a cloud presents. He groaned lifting himself off the ground and something about this place rather look familiar to him. He could feel the sand and small pebbles underneath his hand as he pushed himself off the ground and stood. He is definitely not dreaming otherwise he won't feel all of these.

"Welcome back." A sound came from behind him and he literally jumped at the sound of his low tone voice. He turned to see Raziel staring at him with his hand crossed over his chest and he smiled at him although an angel smile is not something calmly to see. They had hidden agenda behind those smiles.

"Where am I? Am I dead?" Alec asks him turning his head around to see that no one in sight except for him and Raziel. "I know you had been looking for me." He says and Alec inhaled sharply, "Why did you send me back? Am I not good enough as your soldier?" He asks and Raziel smiles faded.

"Alexander, never doubt yourself. You are one of our best soldier in war and because you have such a good soul, we decides to give you another chance to be the angel born you are. Gideon's descendant shall never be eternal damned in Edom." Raziel explained and Alec sighed in relief.

"What happened to Blue? Why did he say I would lead him to you?" He asks and Raziel smirked at the gesture, "Blue is special. I thought I want to test your faith in this matter. Turns out I was right." He says pulling Alec to walk with him. "What do you mean?" He asks confused.

"That your heart is pure. At the sight of the boy you knew desperately he needed your help. You barely knew him and yet, you went to see him on his last day of living just to reassure him that everything would be alright. You have no idea how happy he was seeing you before the surgery." Raziel can see how Alec tried to hide his smile, "I wish I could do more." Alec whispered and Raziel scoffed, "You see that is why you are my favorite Alexander."

They both stopped and Alec can't help furrowed his eyebrow at him, "Your heart is pure that you think everyone else deserves a chance. You see the good in people doesn't matter how badly they treated you. Take your mother for instance. I assumed the moment you are back into the world of living, you would abolished your relationship with your mother but you surprised me when you forgave her." Alec stares into Raziel's angelic face and his golden eyes feeling proud of himself.

"Although I do have plans for you." He could see the smile on Alec's face faded and he stood straight like the good soldier he is. "You are going to be the patron of fallen souls. The first soul that you chose is Blue." Alec eyebrow furrowed further into a confused look. "He's dead." Raziel held his finger up and point behind him.

Alec turned to see the brightest color resembled the sun, so bright that Alec had to retract his vision so it won't burn his cornea. In front of him a wing spread so widely with a radiant color and a bird featured shadow with a striking yellow colored eyes resembling the fiery sun. It was large, larger than anything Alec had ever seen but somehow he is not afraid, he was mesmerized by it. He only saw the illustration of this being in one of the book back in the institute but never in real life.

"Is that a phoenix bird? It's real?" He asks and Raziel stood beside him placing his palm over his shoulder. "Everything you heard is real." He whispered and Alec returned his gaze towards the bird before him gawking in it's glory.

"Blue is part phoenix." Raziel told him and Alec turned his head sharply at him, "That is why he can see Magnus' true form?" Raziel nodded at him before he cupped Alec's cheek, "Save him." He mutters and before Alec could replies, a white bright flashes on his face and he was welcomed again with darkness.

"Alexander." Magnus soft voice was heard and Alec flutters his eyes slowly and his gaze returned back into the room. "Mags." He whispered softly and Magnus raised himself to sit besides Alec on the bed. "Hey, you okay? You scared me." He says helping Alec sat up on the bed groaning in pain over his head. He can see Magnus might have been crying seeing his eyes are swollen and his nose are blotched red. "I'm sorry, come here." Alec pulled him towards his chest and Magnus sighed in his embrace.

"I saw him. I saw Blue with Raziel." He whispered earning Magnus a curious look and pulled away immediately from Alec's embrace. "Raziel told me my purpose but we need to get to the morgue like literally right now!" Alec pulled the blanket off his legs and tried to get down from the bed but Magnus stopped him, "No Alec you need to stay right here till they cleared you." He pushed him back by his shoulder but Alec pushed his hand away.

"NO! Magnus you don't understand. I will explained everything later, just let's get to the morgue right fucking now!" Alec pushed past him and Magnus couldn't understand any of this right now but he decides to follow Alec eventually.

By the time they arrived at the morgue, Alec could feel the coldness and the silence creeping up in him. The chills sends down through his spine as he walked further. He tried to open the door but it was locked so he turned to look at Magnus who protest at first but he pulls him by force to open it. Magnus sighed flicked his wrist over the knobs and it unlocked.

Alec quickly pulled Magnus inside and pushed the door close. "What are we doing here?" Magnus whispered at Alec and he stares at him in annoyance look. "You don't have to whisper, they are all dead." Magnus shot him back the annoyed look letting Alec walked passed him.

Alec searched through each casket and each fridge hoping to find Blue's name and finally found it. He pulls the drawer out and it the metal rattles earning Magnus a fear look someone might hear it. "Alexander, what are you doing?" He asks as he stood the opposite of Alec's and he can see the black plastic bag on top of the metal tray as Alec pulled off the zipper exposing Blue's pale and naked body underneath.

"Everything will be alright Blue." Alec says earning Magnus another curious look. He saw Alec pulled the zipper further down exposing his stomach that was sutured back in place and his heart broke. "Alexander, what are you doing?" He asks and Alec didn't answer him but instead he grabbed Blue's body and carried it over the furnace table.

"Raziel told me he is part Phoenix, so that means he will be reborn soon." Alec placed him over the tray table and they both waited. Magnus had so many questions he wanted to asks but now he is just as curious as Alec is.

They waited for quite sometime before a spark of red fire initiated and Alec stood from his seat. Magnus followed seeing the body crumpled into ashes as the fire got into him within seconds and they had never seen something like this before, neither of them.

In the midst of the ashes and dust on the table Alec can see movement kicking under the soiled ashes. Slowly a soft cry could be heard and soon a wailed sound breaks the silenced. Alec grabbed the small baby dusting off the ashes over his face and smiled at Magnus. "Have you seen something so magnificent?" Alec asks wrapping his own jacket over the baby's naked body and Magnus smiled almost tearing up at his fiancé gestured. The baby could be a month old considering by his weight and Alec smiled carrying the small, hungry, and dirty looking baby in his arm rocking him to sleep. 

They heard a key jingled in the entrance door and they both looked at each other. "Fuck!" They both cursed and soon Magnus opened up a portal for them and they both escaped into the portal headed back home.
