Clary tried over and over to reach the angels but the only thing she could hear is white noise and high pitched sound that made her ear bleeds. Clary told him raising her palm over each side of Alec's head and exhaled shutting her eyes to focus better.

She could hear whispers as she touched Alec's hand and she couldn't mutter what the whispering is about. She tried her best to focus but the white noise became more louder and she groaned in pain and soon detached from touching Alec's hand. Shocked and fear covered her face.

"What did you hear?" Magnus asks her and she looked up to meet his eyes, Alec is still muffling the sound inside his mind rocking his body back and forth trying to ease the pain all over his body.

"The angels.." Clary whispers with tears over her eyes, "They said that he's- free?" Clary weren't able to finish what else she heard cause soon she fell unconscious in Magnus' gripped.

Magnus let Jace carried her outside while he helped Alec back on the bed. Alec protest at first but eventually he gave in seeing how tired he was at this state. He laid on his side immediately fall back to sleep with Magnus stroked his raven hair away from his forehead.

Jace carried Clary outside of the bedroom and placed her on the couch hours ago before she starts waking up. "Clary, are you okay?" Jace asks stroking her hair behind her ear as she jolted awake. "I- I don't know, I don't understand it either but they said he is to prove himself for this. They let him go so he could prove his place in heaven, not Edom."
