Chapter 7

Willow

I slowly opened my eyes, the bright light emitted from the buld above me temporarily blinding me. I slowly turned on my side so I could get a better view of the room.

It was the room Blake and I slept in. Everything was the same except for the vacant armchair right beside the bed and a few dirty bandages on the floor. I rolled back over my body feeling numb. I long exaggerated sigh left my lips.

I'm still mute, still can't fly and still stranded here. Why do I even try. I've been making absolutely no process what's so ever. Me getting beaten is like a routine now. I don't even feel the pain anymore.

"Your awake" Blake's husky voice snapped me out of my thoughts. A feeling of nausea washed over me. I shivered feeling his hand on my shoulder. I was wearing a thin white nightgown which barely did anything.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know I had hurt you so bad! I thought you were strong I thought if I pushed you enough you'd finally listen to me. It thought you'd learn..." He ranted mostly to himself.

I didn't look at him. I didn't even glances at him. You thought I was strong? You thought I would learn? You thought constantly beating me wouldn't hurt. I took a deep breath before extending my wings which hurt like hell. I winced letting the flop onto the bed.

I watched the blood leak from them unto the white material of my night gown soaking it. A tear streamed down my cheek as a few of the feathers fell unto the ground. I glanced at Blake who stared in absolute horror. His hand grazed against the jet black feathers that were slowly falling about.

"I did this?" His voice trembled at the end. As if on cue Valery walked in holding a fresh set of clothing and a tun of steaming water.  She glanced at Blake who then excused himself. Closing the door behind him he left me alone.

"Does it hurt?" Valery's soft voice asked dipping a piece of cloth unto the steaming water before placing it on my left wing. I jerked away frightening her. Her eyes widened in surprise.

"I'm sorry, I thought I was warm enough" she apologized slowly sipping away the blood and grine that had been stuck on my wings for the past two weeks. She took her time cleaning and dressing the wounds on both wings before delicately cleaning the darkened feathers.

"Does it hurt?" She repeated pulling her dull brown hair out of her face "Does it hurt being with him. Being on of his slaves?" She asked softly move moving onto the next wing.

I remained still before slowly nodding my head. She looked at me with her lifeless brown eyes. "Don't worry it'll soon over. Once he's tired of you, he'll kill you the you won't feel any thing" she whispered finishing the other wing.

She then set the clothes on the bed and left.  Little did I know that would be the last time I would see her.

"Willow! You finally came back from you visit to an old friend I see! How are you? I haven't seen you in almost a week!" Zame greeted once he saw me walking down the hall way. I smiled at him waving, glancing behind him I saw Blake's murderous eyes glaring at me.

I flinched but remained calm. A beating is long over due isn't it. Zane raised a brow but said nothing. He grabbed my wrist before pulling me to the large open lawn covered in freshly cut grass.

"Show me your wings!" He asked more like demanded excitedly jumping up and down like a kid on Christmas morning. I raised a brow but nodded extending my wings to there full length. The were about 5'4 on there own trailing behind me when I folded them.

His hand caressed the feather before he grinned.

"Can you fly?" I frowned shaking my head. His grin fell instantly.

"I'm guessing the fall broke them?" I nodded retracting them.  He remained silent before looking behind me.

"I think your husband wants you " he mumbled turning and walking away. I turned around only to be met with Blake's still murderous glare. My breath hitched as he tightly gripped my wrist then dragged me all the way to our room.

Once he closed the door he turned to me his eyes ablaze. Literally.  I felt the anger radiate of him in waves.

"I told you stay away. I warned you over and over. What more must I do Willow? How do you think it feels watching the person you love go prancing around with you best friend.  Huh? How do you on think it feels?" I remained silent the words registering in my mind.

"Pe...person.. you.....love ?!" My voice was disoriented and soft barely above a whisper yet high pitched.  His eye widened before he rushed towards me cupping my hands in his.

"Say that again" he urged his eyes holding a slight spark of hope. I opened my mouth but nothing came out. He frowned.

"I love you Sofia. You love me too right?" I froze. Sofia? I looked down on him. He was kneeling before me tightly squeezing my hands. I shook my head jerking away from him.

His frown deepened before his features shifted into one of pure rage just like before. "Dumb slut! Get the fuck out of my sight!" He barked at me lifting his hand to slap me. I gasped in shock before rolling into the other side of the bed. I tried to climb of but ended up falling involuntarily extending my which which thankfully broke my fall.

I struggled to get up as he grabbed the stained black wing pulling me backwards. I fell unto my back unable to move. He climbed on top of me pinning me down before smashing his lips on mine.

His tongue grazed against my lips asking for entry which I denied to his disliking. He dropped himself on top of me causing me to gasp. He took the opportunity to slip his tongue inside my mouth roaming freely. I struggled beneath his weight but it was no use.

His body rub against mine aggressively before he finally released my fro, the kiss taking a breath of fresh air. I looked at him tears streaming down my eyes. He glanced at me but said nothing instead he straightened himself up.

"I'll be expecting more next time. Now I will warn you one last time. Stay away from him or the consequences won't be so merciful" he said plainly walking over to the door not before turning back to look at me "dinner will be ready soon, please clean yourself up "
