(Kat, Vinnie, and Ashley's side of things, before intersecting with Reaper and Six)

The trio of mixed soldiers made their way towards their objective when they came into contact with a ghost, then became flanked by a trio of grunts

"These poor bastards really think they can take us on?" Ashley asked rhetorically, snickering as she opened fire on the trio of grunts with her MA37 while Kat fired upon the ghost, destroying it within seconds

"Let's move on to Ferragut Station." Kat told, patting the roll cage next to Vinnie, who obliged and floored it again, driving over the debris of the ghost

The group arrived behind a large building before being shot at by a revenant

"Watch it!" Ashley yelled, punching Vinnie's shoulder with the side of her fist to dodge the incoming mortar

"I see it, hold on!" Vinnie replied, who began to do a short burnout and drove behind the building to flank it

"Snipers! Stay on the move!" Kat warned, firing on the revenant from behind while Ashley put her rifle in her lap and pulled out her M6G and started firing at the snipers

"Hopefully the boys are fairing better!" Vinnie said, driving under the snipers and back behind the revenant, when it finally blew up

"I don't have a clear shot!" Ashley said, holstering her magnum and returning to her rifle

"I'm engaging." Kat said, opening up on the snipers and killing them

Kat: Hope that comm has a working generator. Let's search the area for a generator switch.

"It's probably in the building where the snipers were." Ashley said, pointing

"Got a group of grunts and elites." Vinnie said, before Ashley threw a frag grenade at the grunt's feet killing them and depleting the nearby Elite's shielding

"Not anymore." Ashley said, before hopping and moving in on foot

The lone marine sprinted up the stairs while Kat kept suppressing the elites, eventually Ashley managed to get behind the elites and scooped up a fallen grunt's plasma grenade, and stuck it to the elite in the middle, the explosion killing all three elites

"Get that generator!" Kat said, scanning for more enemies

Ashley ran into the building and pulled the lever

Kat: OK, generator is up and running. Find that Comms Array, should be up high.

Before Ashley could answer, a spirit arrived with reinforcements

"We got trouble!" Ashley warned, moving outside where the snipers were located, and spotted a sniper rifle next to a fallen trooper

"Skirmishers! Shit, they're to fast!" Kat stated, trying her best to pin the down

Ashley slid next to the corpses of the jackal snipers and fallen trooper, scooping up the sniper and zoomed in onto the building

"Poke your head out, you slippery fucks." Ashley muttered to herself, before seeing an opportunity and shot a skirmisher in the head

Vinnie, upon noticing the skirmishers looking at Ashley's location, floored it into two Skirmishers and drove them into a wall, pinning them down and killing them

A trio of grunts on the other side of the wall panic and run in circles from the sound of crushing bones and the loud thud, while the two remaining skirmishers try to go upstairs to get an angle on the warthog, both are killed in one shot by Ashley

"Alright, I'll go get the comms array!" Vinnie yelled, ditching the 'hog and going inside, gunning down the panicked grunts

Moments later, the comms array comes online

Sword Control: Good work Spartans, return go Sword Base. The rest of your team is inbound, imminent.

A pelican drops off a gauss 'hog with a trooper in it, seeing the opportunity, Kat rushes over to the new 'hog

"Gun's all yours ma'am." The trooper said, saluting and getting off the turret

"Thanks trooper. You drive." Kat replied

"Understood." The trooper ran around and entered the driver seat

"Hey! No fair!" Vinnie yelled from on top of the building

"Finders keepers!" Kat yelled back

"We still have the other 'hog." Ashley replied, reloading her sniper and jumping down

"I guess." Vinnie said, walking down the stairs before stopping in front of a doorway "Ooh-la-la." Vinnie said to herself, picking up the newfound rocket launcher

By the time Vinnie got into the driver seat, Ashley was already waiting in the turret

Reversing, the two Skirmisher bodies began to make a flesh peeling sound and slumped over, falling onto the stone ground, blood splattered everywhere, and on the grill of the 'hog

"That is disgusting." Ashley said, visibly gagging

"Quit your whining, we've got work to do." Vinnie replied, driving towards the rock walls and jumping over a natural ramp

"Wooooooah!" Ashley yelled, holding on the best she could before the hog landed on top of a grunt "I'm not exactly a Helljumper, y'know!" Ashley yelled at Vinnie, who was giggling like crazy

Ashley, rotating her turret towards the right noticed a group of infantry and a ghost firing at something "I've got targets." Ashley said, gunning down the infantry, then realized it was Reaper, Six, and a new trooper

"Looks like we had the same idea!" Vinnie yelled, waving towards her Commander from behind the wheel of the original 'Hog, before Reaper realized it's only her and Ashley

Meanwhile, Kat and the trooper in the gauss 'hog moved up, Kat lined up her shot on the ghost

"Where's K-" Reaper began before the ghost blew up, it was the doing of a third 'Hog armed with a gauss cannon, wielded by no other than Kat herself "Ah, there you are." Reaper stated

"What, did you miss me?" Kat asked rhetorically

"We'll head towards the base from the direction you came from, you do the same with ours." Reaper told, before driving in-between the other two 'Hogs

"No thank you?" Kat asked herself, before ordering her group to advance towards the AA gun and back to base
