-1 Hour later-

Pilot: We're two mikes out from the LZ, Y'all better jump off as soon as we get there just in case the Insurrectionists are watching.

Agreed, and if so, we'll prioritize the AA first.

Vinnie: Uh, sir?

Vinnie: We just lost our signal with HQ. And no back-up channels..... Are we sure they don't know we're coming?

Not sure at this point, we best keep our eyes open.

-Time skip 2 Minutes-

Pilot: Alright, move!

Me and Vinnie jump out of the Falcon, the Pilot leaving us to our mission, luckily without him being a causality

Alright, keep yours eyes open, we still don't know if it is an ambush.

Vinnie nods, I began to walk ahead into a barracks, Vinnie following close behind, as I open the door, we saw Rebel bodies lying everywhere

What the....?

Vinnie: Did we have another team come through here?

No, it's only us. Wait here.

She nodded, as I walked up to one of the bodies, it turns out one of the Rebels was still alive, coughing up blood, I crouched in front of him

What happened here?

Rebel: ..... They're here.....

I inspected his wound, my eyes went wide

Vinnie!

Vinnie ran over quickly

Vinnie: Sir?

The Covenant are here, watch your back!

I began to put the Rebel's arm around my neck, he seemed surprised, but I shrugged it off, I couldn't leave anyone to die like this, even if they are an enemy

We're gettin' you outta here, just keep your head down.

Vinnie: Watch your six!

Vinnie began to open fire on an Ultra Elite with an Energy Sword, who was about to rush at me and the Rebel, I pulled out my ODST Magnum and quickly shot him in the head after his shields were depleted, killing him instantly

Let's get the hell outta here, we gotta warn The UNSC!

Vinnie began to speak into her comm link, telling our Falcon Pilot to meet us at the EVAC Point immediately, but to be careful, as we went back to our LZ, The Covenant were right in our way, about 15 Elites and 20 Jackals, I put the Rebel behind cover and opened fire on the Elites, Vinnie does the same to the Jackals, quickly killing them, she starts to assist me with the Elites, 4 were killed already but the rest were evading too much, I eventually gave up and went sprinting into an Ultra with a Concussion Rifle, tackling him then begin to stab him in the neck, the other Elites were stunned about what happened, one getting angry and charged at me, I smirked under my Helmet as he was about to punch me I quickly jumped behind him and snapped his neck

Six down, nine to go.

Vinnie seemed entertained as she let me take the Elites, I picked up the Concussion Rifle and began to fire at an Officer, he didn't evade fast enough, the first blast knocking him back, the second depleting his shields, I quickly shot two more at him, killing him

Vinnie: Damn.

I threw the Concussion Rifle at a Minor, his shields dropped and I quickly picked up a Needler, I fired multiple needles at him, all landing, he then blew up knocking another Elite to the side, as the Elites kept firing I eventually had to take cover, I had got hit too much, but as soon as my shields were recharged, I sprinted out, picking up an Energy Sword the Concussion Rifle Elite had and I jumped on top of a General, stabbing him in the chest, killing him

Six left.

I didn't have time to waste as the Falcon arrived

Vinnie, grab our new friend and get him on the Falcon, I'll deal with these assholes.

Vinnie: Catch!

She tossed me a shotgun, fully loaded

I sprinted to the last Minor and shot him in the head twice, killing him after I began to do a back flip over an Ultra, I pulled out my SMG, Duel wielding the Shotgun and SMG, shooting the Ultra and other Elites as I twirled in the air, killing three Elites

Two left.

I punched the first Elite in the jaws then began to fire the last of my SMG ammo on him, killing him, I put my SMG on my back and threw the shotgun aside, I pulled out my ODST Magnum and fired at the last Elite, depleting his shields, but before I was able to finish him, I ran out of ammo, the Elite began to laugh, but not for very long since I threw my Combat Knife into his eye, killing him, I began to walk over to him and take my Knife back, holstering my Magnum, I then climbed onto the Falcon

Pilot: That was one helluva show!

Rebel: ..... Thank you for saving me.....

I put my hand on his shoulder and nodded

The Enemy of our Enemy is our friend. Remember that.

Vinnie: You impressed me more than you ever have before. I got a surprise for you when we get back to base.

Uh, OK?

I took my Helmet off and put it on my lap, wiping my forehead

I think I did my workout for the week.
