At the end of the date, they were about to head back to their place.

"Hey. I'm gonna take a detour," he told her.

"Would this be about what Yori talked about yesterday?" she guessed.

Bucky didn't answer, giving her all the answer she need.

"I'm not gonna talk you out of it, but I need you to know that whatever happened with his son wasn't your fault," Y/N said, caressing his cheek.

"I owe it to him though," Bucky replied.

"Okay. Just be careful," she requested.

"I will be," he assured.

They kissed then went their separate ways.

Bucky made it to where Yori lived and knocked on the door. It didn't take long for Yori to answer.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" he asked.

Bucky didn't know where to start.

"How was the date?" Yori asked.

Bucky was at a loss for words for a minute before deciding to answer.

"It was...it was good. Forgot I owed you for lunch," he told him, giving him some money.

He then left and looked over his list before heading home.

It was already late when he got back, so he went to check on Y/N, who was asleep. He changed out of his clothes to just sweatpants and laid beside her.

"You okay?" she asked, turning to face him.

"I didn't tell him," he said.

"Maybe it's best he doesn't know since it wasn't you," Y/N pointed out, sitting up and putting her hand on his bare chest.

"Why do you believe that? When I was under HYDRA's control, I had enough sense in me to remember you. Why couldn't I have had more sense to fight their control completely?" Bucky pointed out.

"Hey. Don't do that. I've heard of other cases like this. Not exactly like that, but similar. And it all still worked out for them. It has for you too," she replied.

He looked at her, a smile slowly forming on his face.

"And once again, you make me smile," he told her.

"Good to know," she said, leaning her toward him.

They kissed, just holding each other before going to bed.

Along the way, Sam and Sarah didn't get the loan and he heard more about the Flag Smashers, along with hearing about a new Captain America.
