Then the Flag Smashers in the building captured the people inside when Sam, in his suit, crashed through the window and took out whatever Flag Smashers he came across.

"Sharon, Bucky, Y/N, what's going on on your end?" Sam asked.

"Nothing. All quiet," Bucky answered.

"I'm sorry, wait. Who are you?" one senator asked.

"I'm Captain America," Sam answered.

"I thought he was on the Moon," the Senator said.

"No one's moving toward the building," Sharon replied.

"Karli's not coming in. She's trying to force everybody out," Sam informed.

As Sam tried to help the evac, he was in a match with Batroc.

"You guys are gonna have to do something. Don't let 'em out of the building," Sam told them.

Then as they went through the metal detector device, going off when Sharon went through.

"Oops," Sharon commented.

"Here's one of them," Y/N said.

"We'll get the evac," Bucky told her before he and Y/N went further inside.

Then Karli got the Flag Smashers she had in disguise to get the hostages in the cars they had. Then she called one of the people inside and asked for the Barnes couple.

"Mr. Barnes, it's Karli," she said.

Bucky took the phone and put it up to his ear.

"Karli?" Bucky asked.

"Put it on Speaker. I want your wife to hear this too," Karli told him.

He then took it away from his ear with a sigh and faced his wife.

"She wants to talk to both of us," Bucky said.

He then put it on Speaker.

"Alright, we're both here," Y/N let her know.

"Aren't you two tired of fighting for the wrong side?" Karli asked.

Bucky scoffed then said, "I've done this before, kid. We know how it ends."

"It doesn't matter if I don't survive this. I'm fighting for something bigger than myself. With all the bodies you've collected, have you been able to say the same?" Karli explained.

"You don't think I ever fought for something bigger than myself? That's all I ever tried to do. And I failed twice," Bucky pointed out.

"Karli, your cause is great. But this isn't the way. This sounds like you're trying to make everyone in your cause happy, but all it does is tear you down," Y/N said.

Then the hostages were put in the cars and one of Flag Smashers in disguise locked them inside as Sam continued fighting Batroc.

"You think your cause justifies all this death, but in the end..., the nightmares won't go away," Y/N told her, looking at her husband in sadness.

Bucky detected it and took her hand, letting her know he was okay.

"You're gonna remember all the ones you killed. Trust me. Don't do this. Don't go down this path," Bucky continued.

"If that's how you feel, you two should sit this one out," Karli suggested.

"Come on, you know we're not gonna do that," Bucky told her.

"Well, thank you. I'm glad you took my call. You've been a big help," Karli remarked before hanging up.

"Damn it!" Bucky exclaimed.

"What are we gonna do now?" Y/N asked.

"The only thing we can do. Stop this," Bucky answered before they ran for the deck.

The cars were in route as Bucky and Y/N ran toward a motorcycle.

"Seriously, guys, you had one job," Sharon remarked.

"You worry about your guy," Bucky said as they got on board.

As they drove off, Sharon took out the one in disguise with mercury vapor. Then she saw some other hostages were taken to a helicopter, which was about to take off.

"Bucky! Y/N!" Sam called.

"We don't fly, man. That's your thing," Bucky told him.

"Sorry, Sam. You gotta do it," Y/N said.

Then the chopper took off with Sam in pursuit. He then got Redwing to scan the hostages for anyone with flying experience.

Meanwhile, Karli and some of the Flag Smashers regrouped and talked about the fate of the hostages. The others hesitated on killing them, but they were soon on board.

A/N Well, that happened. And am I the only one who thought it was weird that Sharon set off the alarm and not Bucky? I mean, HE HAS A METAL ARM! Anyway, back to it.
