The four then went into an area where some people would meet up for school.

"Shame what become of this place," Zemo commented then explained, "When I was young, we used to come here for fabulous dinners and parties. I knew nothing of the politics of the time, of course, but I remember it being beautiful."

"I'm gonna take a look around upstairs. See what you can find out here. And keep him an eye on him," Sam said before heading inside.

"I'll stay out of your way," Zemo assured with his hands out in surrender.

Sam and Bucky weren't having any luck finding out about Donya, but Y/N and Zemo went to a group of kids, Zemo singing, "Ba Ba Black Sheep".

(A/N When he sang that, I was like "What the?".)

He set up a stool and dumped some Turkish Delight on it.

"Turkish Delight. It was always my son's favorite," Zemo told a little girl.

Y/N picked one of the F/C pieces and held it out to the girl.

"This one's my favorite," she smiled.

The little girl returned it as she took it.

"Our old friend, Donya, passed away. Did you know her?" Y/N asked nicely.

"Yes," the little girl nodded.

"We would like to pay our last respects. Do you know where her funeral will be?" Zemo asked.

The girl nodded again. Zemo signaled her to tell him and she whispered it in his ear.

Nearby, Sam and Bucky watched the scene unfold.

"It's starting to feel like a dead end," Sam said.

"What the hell's he doing? And with my wife?" Bucky asked, a little more angrily.

"I don't know, but this reminds me. Have you and Y/N talked about having kids?" Sam wondered.

Bucky looked at him, sighed, and said, "We have and we want them. But after what we went through, I don't know if I could put that on a kid."

"But I'm sure it would still be worth it," Sam said.

That made Bucky think a little more on that.

When the girl gave Zemo the information, he got up.

"Do you see these men there?" he asked, referring to Sam and Bucky.

The girl nodded again.

"They're very bad. Not to be trusted," Zemo said.

Y/N gave him a disbelieving look then knocked him upside the head. As he soothed it, she looked back at the girl with a smile.

"He's had a little too much to drink. Some truth with some lies," Y/N said, making the girl give a look that she understood.

"Donya's our little secret, okay?" Zemo said as they pretended to lock their lips.

"And since he'll probably keep that secret from me, I have a secret he won't know," Y/N said.

The little girl lent her ear to Y/N and she whispered something in her ear. The girl's face lit up and looked at Y/N, who smiled with a nod. She gestured to Bucky and put a finger to her lips, making the girl do the same. So she and Zemo gave the girl the candy to share with her friends. Then Zemo and Y/N went back to the guys.

"Cute kids," Zemo said as he went ahead of them.

"Why'd you smack him upside the head? I mean, I would've done worse if he pissed me off," Bucky asked.

"He told the kids you and Sam were bad and weren't to be trusted. And to help, I told the kids he had too much to drink to where he says some truths with some lies," Y/N answered, making the men chuckle a bit.

"Thanks for sticking up for us," Sam told her.

"Anytime," she smiled as she hooked her arms through theirs and they followed Zemo back to where they were staying.
