The days were beginning to become predictable for Louis. Wake up, brush teeth, ignore Tyler's texts, get dressed, cry over the argument with Harry - repeat for night routine as well.
This is what it had been like for the past few days. Harry had been ignoring his calls, texts, him trying to throw a rock at the taller boy's window but instead accidentally shattering it (he ran away after) and Louis had managed to even find Harry's Facebook but was lost in the message requests since they weren't friends on the site.
It was so strange that over a month ago his life was so different to what it was now. Tyler had never laid his hands on Louis once and there weren't any dramas in their relationship. Yet, now that Louis is looking back at it, can he really say he was happy back then?
Louis had been a mess for the past few days. He was hardly sleeping and when he did, Louis would sleep in till very late, skipping school altogether. The smaller boy was just filled with so much guilt and anger. He felt guilty for ever asking Harry to do the deal and angry at Harry for giving him this ultimatum.
Once again, Louis was following his routine, spitting out the toothpaste and rinsing out his mouth out into the sink of his ensuite before making his way into his room to sit on the bed, reaching for his phone.
He scrolled through his contacts before finding the one he was looking for, pressing to call the number and putting the phone to his ear.
"Hey, it's Harry. Sorry to miss your call. Leave a message and I'll get back to you. All the l-"
Louis sighed as he hung up the once again failed attempt of trying to contact Harry. He felt useless. There were so many things going through his head at once and it was making his head spin.
The truth was, Louis really missed the curly haired boy. Like really fucking missed him. Despite all the drama, Harry was his best friend.
"Louis?" His mother called from outside his room, she knocked on the door before opening it, frowning when she saw Louis sitting on his bed, "Are you okay, sweetheart?"
She was so clueless about what was going on. In her mind, Louis was still going to school. In her mind, everything was fine. She didn't know that Louis was slowly falling apart.
"I'm great," Louis answered forcing a smile into his lips, "What's up?"
"Guess who I ran into at the shops today and had the best chat with?" Jay wondered, face filled with excitement.
"Who?" Louis questioned.
"Harry's mother, Anne. They're going to be coming over for dinner, isn't that lovely?" Jay gushed happily.
"Who?" Louis repeated, eyes wide.
"Your boyfriend and his family are joining us. They'll be here any second so make yourself presentable if you want to continue to impress the in-laws," Jay jokes playfully before she exited Louis' room.
Louis felt like choking on air. He couldn't believe that Harry was about to be in his house. The same Harry who had given him a proposition and had been screening his calls repeatedly.
He felt nervous, he felt excited. It felt like years since he had last seen or spoken to the taller boy.
That was when Louis jumped into action, moving to the shower to make sure he didn't look like he had run multiple marathons due to his lack of sleep and poor appearance. Louis stared in the mirror, pushing his hair to the side he usually did before sighing.
"Hey, Louis?"
Louis held onto the door to the bathroom, about to leave but turned to face Harry with a raised eyebrow, gesturing for the taller boy to continue with what he had to say.
"I really like it when you do that with your hair. It really suits you."
The smaller boy gave his reflection a small smile before styling his hair to the way that Harry had complimented him on, the way he actually prefered.
Louis felt like he was going to be sick, he didn't understand why he was so fucking nervous to see Harry. They were best friends. All Louis had to do was make Harry see that. Louis was just being stupid. He loved Tyler.
Louis' heart almost stopped beating altogether when he heard the doorbell ring and the familiar deep voice that was now echoing downstairs. Louis sighed before looking in the mirror one last time, then exited the room to greet the guests.
"And this is Gemma-"
"The favourite sibling," Gemma interrupted her brother's introduction which caused the curly haired boy to narrow his eyes at her but she remained unfazed.
Jay seemed to be amused by Gemma's input and wrapped an arm around Anne's waist to direct her towards their kitchen.
"It's a little too scary how similar our children are," Jay informed. Anne's laugh reverbing down the hall. Louis was now standing at the bottom of the stairs, letting his eyes scan over Harry.
The taller boy turned to look at Louis, face neutral.
"Hey, Harry," Louis greeted softly, almost timid like. So unlike Louis.
Gemma snorted at the exchange, unaware of what was happening.
"Would you like some alone time, love birds?" Gemma questioned teasingly. Harry turned to his sister with narrowed eyes, which ultimately just made her smile wider than she already was.
"Don't you have anything better to do?" Harry asked. Gemma raised her eyebrow at her little brother.
"Than annoy you and your tiny boyfriend? Not really," Gemma answered.
That was when Louis heard footsteps from behind him, he turned to see that it was Lottie who just gave him a wink.
"Hey, Gemma, would you like to come to have a look at the stuff Fizzy and I have been working on? I think you would like it," Lottie quizzed.
"Makeup? Clothes? Count me in," Gemma retorted before making her way towards Lottie who was still standing at the bottom of the stairs.
"First door on the right, I'll be up in a minute," Lottie stated. Gemma gave her the thumbs up before following Lottie's directions to the room. Lottie then turned to face her brother with a smile, "You owe me."
"I'll buy you food," Louis replied. Lottie smiled widely.
"You know me so well," She said letting out a laugh before she turned and disappeared up the stairs. This was when Louis took his opportunity to look over at Harry. The curly haired boy was just looking at the wall that was behind the smaller boy, obviously wanting to avoid any type of conversation.
"So you've been ignoring me," Louis informed, looking to his feet nervously. He wanted to get to the bottom of this. Louis needed to sort this out.
"I'm aware," Harry murmured. Louis sighed, stepping forward towards the taller boy.
"About the other day... I'm sorry that I gave you the wrong idea. I really am. I love Tyler," Louis stated, still not meeting Harry's eyes.
"Wow, you almost believed that."
"What?" Louis questioned, looking up at Harry to see that his eyes now held amusement. He looked pleased.
Harry let out a laugh, "I don't know who you are trying to convince more. Me or yourself."
"It's not like that, Harry. I do love him, everything is just super confusing right now," Louis said with a sigh, "I never meant to give you a bad idea."
"So you're trying to say that you were jealous because you were confused?" Harry asked. Louis remained quiet for a moment before nodding.
"Yeah, that's what I'm saying," Louis confirmed. Harry scoffed at that.
"Okay, then," Harry replied before turning to walk to the kitchen where their parents were. Louis quickly grabbed his arm to pull the taller boy back to him, afraid of still leaving on bad terms.
Louis gasped when he was pressed to the wall, he felt his face flush red. One of Harry's hands held onto his waist while the other was placed just above Louis' head.
"Harry?" Louis squeaked out. All the smaller boy had to do was lean forward and he would be kissing Harry.
"You know if you were honest about your feelings, I would kiss you right now," Harry informed. Louis gulped, watching the taller boy's gaze flickering to his lips and back up to his face.
"How do you know I want you to?" Louis questioned. He felt like he was on fire.
Harry raised his eyebrow, "Then tell me you don't."
"Please don't do this," Louis begged. He was so torn, he was so in denial that it wasn't funny.
"Your choice, Lou," Harry murmured before releasing his hold on the smaller boy. Louis actually looked disappointed when Harry gave him a sad, crooked smile before exiting the room.
Louis sighed resting his head against the wall, running a hand through his hair to pull at the strands in frustration.
He hated to admit it but the truth was, he was falling for Harry Styles and there was nothing he could do about it.
Question: What do you think happens now that Louis has finally admitted to himself that he does have feelings for Harry?
I fucking love you all
