"You know you're supposed to be keeping quiet," Harry murmured tauntingly when Xavier let out a little squeak. Xavier scoffed, trying to squat away Harry's hands when the taller boy tried to reach out for him.

"Well, that would be a lot easier if you weren't tickling me every second, dickhead," Xavier shot back. Harry chuckled lowly.

"Well, that would be easier if you weren't so ticklish," Harry replied. Xavier rolled his eyes, moving to sit cross-legged. Harry was lying on his back, arm folded to rest his head on it so he could get a good look at Xavier.

"You're a fucking idiot," Xavier said letting out a laugh. Harry laughed along with him but then stopped when a serious expression took over Xavier's face.

"What's wrong?" Harry questioned, eyebrows furrowed in confusion on Xavier's sudden mood change.

"You never told me what happened the other night at that dinner. I know something happened because that's exactly why I'm here. You only ever call when you want to get your mind off things... what happened with Louis?" Xavier quizzed softly. Harry sighed, moving to sit up properly.

"Every time I think I'm getting a step closer to Louis, he takes two steps back," Harry answered, "Maybe it's all in my head most of the time but he admitted that he was jealous. Why would he be jealous if he didn't feel anything for me?"

"Of course he feels something for you, you both would be fucking idiots if you thought any different," Xavier stated, "Talk to him about it."

"I never get the chance-"

"Don't even try giving me that excuse. You and I both know it's bullshit," Xavier informed with hooded eyes. Harry scoffed, reaching to tickle at Xavier's sides as he had been before.

"Who would have thought you were so smart?" Harry mocked playfully. Xavier tried to fight against Harry's hold, letting out tiny shrieks of laughter.

"Hey, Hazz, your mother-"

Harry and Xavier both jumped when the door was abruptly opened. All three boy's eyes widened at one another. Louis was standing at the door gaping at the scene in front of him.

"Sorry, I should have kn-" Louis began to apologise.

"Don't even worry about it. I should get going anyway," Xavier let out an awkward laugh, "I'm just going to do a very ungraceful duck out the window and be out of your way."

"I-I'll call you later," Harry choked out, still in shock over Louis' sudden appearance in his bedroom. Xavier nodded, eyes resting on Louis before falling back on Harry.

"Yeah, talk to you later," Xavier said before moving towards the window, opening it and climbing onto the grass outside, managing to not eat shit and fall over.

"Sorry for interrupting," Louis apologised after a few moments of silence.

"You weren't interrupting anything," Harry informed watching as the smaller boy looked to his feet, "So, why are you here, Mickey? It's pretty late."

"Mum dragged me over here, said she needed to talk to your mother about something," Louis explained. Harry frowned, moving to stand on the ground in front of the smaller boy.

"About what?" Harry asked. Louis raised his eyebrow, finally making proper eye contact with the taller boy.

"Can't say I know, Bambi," Louis answered.

"Do you think it would be about the deal? Like what if they found out and they are wanting to talk over how they're going to murder us for lying," Harry offered a theory on what was happening. Louis rolled his eyes fondly.

"Mum is pretty smitten with you, I think we would know if that cat was out of the bag because she would probably be a little upset," Louis stated with an almost forced laugh.

"I know we probably don't even want to discuss this but when the time comes, how will this deal end?" Harry wondered. He didn't want to think about it but he knew that it was something that needed to be spoken about.

"When the time is right, we will say that we had some type of fight. We can end it on good terms so that way we can still see each other," Louis replied.

"You would still want to see me after this?" Harry quizzed, eyes a little wide. Truthfully, he had been stressing over the fact that there could be a chance that after everything was over that Louis would go back to acting like Harry didn't exist.

"Are you kidding? You're my best friend, Bambi."

"And if Tyler doesn't want you to see me? I think there's a big chance he won't want you to," Harry reminded, "It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that he doesn't like me."

"Tyler doesn't decide who I can and can't be friends with," Louis retorted. It felt like he was also trying to make that clear for himself and not just Harry.

Harry went to open his mouth but was cut off by giggles that were coming from the smaller boy. Harry raised his eyebrow at the small giggly mess that Louis was currently.

"What's so funny?" Harry asked. Louis wiped a nonexistent tear from his ear and let out an exaggerated sigh.

"Nice socks, Harold," Louis complimented which caused Harry to look down at his feet which were in fact covered in two unmatching socks.

"I can't find my matching ones."

"The fact that you're this tall guy who looks like he could throw me against the wall and you are wearing unmatched socks that look fluffy as fuck actually makes me feel like a better person," Louis teased. Harry narrowed his eyes at Louis.

"I will throw you against the wall," Harry threatened playfully. Louis raised his eyebrow, glancing to the door of the bedroom and looking back at Harry before quickly making a run for it.

Harry chased after him, their laughter echoing down the hall as Harry chased him down the staircase into the living room downstairs. Jay and Anne watched from the couch, shaking their heads at their two sons.

Harry finally caught up to Louis, lightly tickling the smaller boy's sides before he wrapped his arms around him in a hug. It was something that was so great about Louis and Harry. It somehow was never awkward, everything felt like it just flowed, it was natural.

"Okay, lovebirds, come sit down, we have something we would like to discuss," Jay informed. Louis and Harry glanced at one another, their minds both jumping to the conclusion that they had been founded out. The pair moved to take a seat on the couch opposite of Anne and Jay.

"Are we in any trouble?" Harry inquired nervously. He didn't even want to know how his mother would react to finding out about the deal.

"Do you think you need to be in trouble?" Anne interrogated with narrowed eyes. Harry raised an eyebrow at his mother.

"No?" The taller boy said but it came out like a question. Louis, who was sat beside him stifled a laugh.

"Louis," Jay scolded her son for making fun of her future son-in-law.

"How may I help you, officer?" Louis questioned. Jay blinked a few times before shaking her head at him fondly. Her son was always really cheeky and quick on his feet.

"Mark has to go on a business trip for a few days and he has decided to take us with him," Jay informed. Louis nodded his head, seemingly unaffected, "And I have asked Anne and she said it's okay for Harry to join us."

Harry and Louis' eyes widened at Jay's words, a giddy smile threatening to make its way on both of their lips.

"Are you serious? Harry can come with us?" Louis quizzed. Jay and Anne shared a knowing smile before nodding.

"I've called the school and explained that Harry will be absent for a few days. I've already packed Harry's things like clothes and socks-"

"That's where they went," Harry chimed in, gesturing towards his oddly matched socks that he was still wearing. Anne rolled her eyes playfully at her son.

"You'll be staying with us tonight and we are leaving first thing in the morning," Jay explained further before smiling, "I can't wait to spend the next few days with you."

"I can't wait to spend them with you picking on Louis for being short," Harry retorted to which Jay just smiled wickedly at him. Louis looked between his mother and Harry and shook his head in disbelief.

"On second thought, I might stay here with Anne. She'll be nicer to me-"

"Why doesn't shortie go help you get anything else you may need upstairs?" Anne asked, a cheeky smile that was so similar to Harry's crossing her face. Louis narrowed his eyes at the two mothers when they both began to laugh. Harry joined in, standing to his feet and taking Louis' hand in his to make the smaller boy follow him up the stairs.

"It's okay, Mickey, I'm sure you will have a growth spurt," Harry reassured. Louis glared at him as they walked into Harry's room.

"I'll bite you," Louis threatened.

"Hmm, kinky," Harry shot back. Louis reached for the pillow on Harry's bed and smacked him with it which just caused Harry to let out a loud laugh.

And that's how it went trying to get whatever Harry might need for the trip. Harry kept teasing Louis and Louis kept smacking him with a pillow. It was now just a common occurrence.

When they had finally finished, the pair made their way down the stairs to see Anne standing at the bottom of the stairs with Jay by her side, a bag placed on the floor.

"Make sure you behave and thank them for having you," Anne instructed as she pulled her son into a hug. Harry nodded, hugging his mother back.

"I know how to be a good guest," Harry reminded.

"And we are happy to have him," Jay added sweetly as Harry pulled away from the hug and grabbed the bag that was on the floor.

"Have a safe trip, guys," Anne informed waving them all off as they piled outside to the car. The entire car ride was filled with Louis playing with Harry's hands, Louis didn't understand himself why he had become so fascinated but both were not complaining.

Harry couldn't help but feel something had changed in Louis. He couldn't quite put his finger on what it was though. Louis just seemed more... affectionate?

Once they reached the Tomlinson household, Jay waved them off to bed, telling them that it was late and they had to leave early in the morning.

"I'm sleepy," Louis complained quietly, eyeing the staircase wearily. Harry gave him a soft smile, bending down to pick the smaller boy lightly to carry in bridal style up the stairs.

"I've got you, Lou," Harry whispered. Louis cuddled into Harry's chest, almost dozing off as the taller boy carried him to his bedroom. Harry placed him onto the bed, making sure to push the cover back and allowing Louis to get comfortable.

"Lie down with me," Louis commanded softly.

"I'm coming," Harry replied, moving to lie down next Louis. Both boys were lying on their sides and just staring at each other. The moon's reflection shining through the window slightly lighting up one another's faces.

It was so weird that Louis and Harry could literally just stare at one another like they were and not be awkward. It was so strange how normal and natural what they had was. The way Harry was staring at Louis right now was effectively causing little butterflies to flutter in Louis' tummy.

Louis practically purred when Harry lightly caressed Louis' cheek, both staring into each other's eyes. The only sound being the crickets that were happily chirping outside.

"No matter what, I am always going to be here to carry you."

Question: What do you think has changed for Louis? And what do you think might happen on this trip?

I love you all so fucking much.
