Naruto was the last of the students to arrive at the meeting place on the bridge. He and Sasuke glaring at each other before looking away. Annoyed with each other's presence.

'Well, at least they aren't in each other's faces like Natsu and Gray. That's good I suppose.' Lauren thought closing her eyes smirking.

"What are you smirking about?" Sakura asked.

"They remind me of old friends. Only difference, they aren't calling each other names and getting in each other's face." Lauren answered. Eyes still closed leaning against the bridge. "We know he is always going to be late, so why are we always here on time? I could have gotten more sleep..."

"Is all you care about sleeping when we could be going on missions?" Naruto said.

"Calm down Naruto. I'm just saying. You could be eating ramen right now, but instead we are waiting for Kakashi."

"She has a point yeah know." Sasuke said.

"Thank you Sasuke. I'm glad someone is on my side."

"Wha? I never I said anything about it!" Sakura said. She just wanted to flirt with Sasuke though.

"Yeah whatever, you just wanna be on whatever side Sasuke is on."

"What did you just say?"

'You heard me." Lauren said opening her eyes with an evil look in her eyes, smirk dancing on her lips.

"You'll pay for that."

"Will I now? You couldn't hurt a fly, let alone even touch me."

"You wanna try me?"

"Has Naruto and Sasuke switched bodies with Lauren and Sakura?" Kakashi said magically appearing on top of the bridge.

"You're late again." Lauren said directing her attention to the tardy Joinnin.

"Sorry, afraid I got lost on the path of life."

"That's not even a thing!" Lauren yelled at him.

Kakashi jumped down so he was standing on the bridge with his students. Naruto went off on some off fantasy world while starting angrily at Sasuke.

"Hey really is an odd one." Lauren said.

"Agreed." Sasuke said.

"Tell us know when your done fanitizing Naruto so we can start the mission, alright?"

The first mission of the day was picking weeds out of a ladies herb garden. Nothing special but something that everyone can easily do. Well, Kakashi was in a tree watching them while reading Make-Out Paradise.

"Hey Lauren, you need some help there? I know it's easy and all, but I can do some extra work so you can rest.. Or something?" Sasuke said to Lauren.

"Huh? Ooh, I appreciate Sasuke really, but I don't want Kakashi getting on our case later, or Sakura for that matter."

"Oh, yeah. Alright."

Naruto wanting to best Sasuke - if he was doing extra work for Lauren or not - and ended up pulling out the employers herbs, resulting in him getting a black eye.

Next was cleaning up trash from a river. Lauren being in a river wasn't exactly the best idea being an ice dragon slayer. Even if she didn't mean to do anything, the temperature of the water was slowing dropping.

"Is it just me or is the water getting colder than it should be at this time of year?" Sakura said.

"No, it's just fine." Naruto said.

"That's because you're all bundled up on that jacket you always wear. If I had to wear something like that, I'd surely overheat and die." Lauren said.

"Hey, Lauren." Sasuke said whispering to the girl. "If you're really cold, I'll pick up your slack. Tell Kakashi that you didn't want to catch a cold, then you wouldn't be able to go on missions."

"I'm not cold thank you though."

A minute late Kakashi looked up to see how well of a job his students were doing, mostly because he heard Naruto fall - for the third time. When he looked up, he saw little ice patches.

"Lauren, come here a moment." Kakashi said.

"Huh? Okay." Lauren got out of the river and stood next to Kakashi. He was leaning at the base of tree reading his book. "What's up?"

"Take a seat, I need to talk to you."

"Alright." Lauren took the basket off her back and put what she was using to get the trash out of water in there as well sitting next to him leaning against the tree as well. The only thing between her and the river was Kakashi.

"Mind telling why there is ice in the river?"

"It's hotter than hell out and I'm using my magic to keep me cool, so I don't ditch everyone to take as much clothes off as I can in the privacy of my apartment."

"It's not that hot."

"You're not an ice wizard."

"But you're also a fire wizard."

"I learned ice first, my primary magic, I told you that. Although because it is, it's like I don't know any fire magic and I'm melting out here."

"Take a breather for now. Let the water return to normal temperature. If they haven't finished you can go help them again."

"Alright."

"Hey, what did Sasuke talk to you about, I noticed he said something to you earlier say well."

"Oh, I think he's trying to flirt with me by asking me if I wanted to take break and he'd do extra work. Kid knows how lazy I am I guess. Always talking about how I can be sleeping still while waiting for you constantly."

"You like your sleep don't you."

"Almost as much as you like those books. Makes me wonder if you're still a virgin." Lauren snickered. "Oh, and by the way, that books trash, I've read better."

"When did you get the time to read the book? Not that you should be." Kakashi answered completely disregarding the comment on his virginity.

"I'm twenty-three idiot, and I got magic glasses back at the apartment, read it in like, five minutes."

"Now where's the joy in reading it so fast."

"Pervert." Lauren said smirking punching his arm lightly.

Sasuke looked Kakashi with pure jealousy in his eyes.

"Didn't you say that you've read better."

"Oh put a sock in it."

"Oh, and about the other day, at the tavern, I'll help you out with faking jutsu. How about after the missions?"

"Sounds good to me."

Naruto yet again fell, this time, the current dragged him away and down a waterfall. Sasuke saved him. That angered him even more. He wanted to be better that Sasuke, not constantly being saved by him. He didn't want to be a 'loser'.

The next job, walking dogs. Naruto picked a dog too big for him to handle, and Lauren just hates dogs, she's a more a cat person if she had to pick an animal.

"You alright Lauren?" Sasuke said.

"I hate dogs." Lauren said.

"Here, give me that leash, I got it."

"Thanks." Lauren said then jumped onto a low branch of tree.

"Hey, hey. Not there. Were supposed to go the other way." Naruto said talk to the dog he was walking. "Hey, I'm talkin to you."

"What a loser." Sasuke said.

"Of course, he just had to the pick the biggest dog?" Sakura said.

"Stop pulling would you, you're not supposed to go over there." Naruto said, still talking to the dog. Meanwhile, Kakashi did nothing. Sitting in the tree with his legs crossed reading his book. "That's not a place for dogs it's a minefield!"

Walking through town as they just finished walking the dogs, Naruto had to be supported by Sasuke and Sakura. Lauren walked next to Kakashi as the three walked in front of them.

"Look at you, you're hopeless Naruto." Sakura said.

"You really are just one bid problem." Sasuke said.

"Sasuke!!!" Naruto yelled getting ready to attack the boy as he got out of his teammates' grips. Sakura put a hand in front of him to stop him from doing so.

"If you keep this up, I'll finish you off myself." Sakura said.

Kakashi sighed, "Guess we're not making a lot of progress on the teamwork thing huh?"

"Nope. Not at all apparently."

"That's right, our teams work all messed up and it's all because of you Sasuke! You think you're better than everyone else?!" Naruto yelled at the boy who never stopped walking unlike everyone else.

"Not everyone, just you. Face, it, I'm better and stronger than you are." Sasuke said finally stopping walking. He turned his body saying, "Unless you have what it takes to prove me wrong."

Kakashi had turned away from them, he's book in his hand, looking up at the sky for a moment before looking down and towards his students. "Alright guys, let's call it day. You can beat each other to a pulp some other time. Anyway, I need file my report on this mission."

"Whatever I'm out of here." Sasuke said walking away.

"Wait, Sasuke, I'll go with you."

It looked like Naruto wanted to say something to Sakura, but he couldn't as the girl was running away.

"So why don't we, I mean I don't know, let's do something more personal? I mean to improve our teamwork and all."

"I swear you're just as bad as Naruto. Instead of flirting, why don't you practice your jutsu and make the team stronger. Let's face it, you're actually worse than Naruto."

'Well, Sasuke shouldn't be talking since he was flirting with me, but he is right. She is worse than Naruto.' Lauren thought chuckling to herself.

"Don't worry Sakura, just forget about Sasuke, me and you can develop our teamwork all day."

Kakashi, seeing the girlwas getting angry, disappeared. Lauren used a spell to disappear as well,unfortunately it was risky, but she got away with it.
