❥Juliette's always been the cute one between all of her siblings, and she'll be damned if she doesn't uphold that reputation. Always speaking in a soft, soothing voice, wearing flowing dresses, smiling and giggling; all of them build up this facade of a good little girl, but Aura is anything but. She's been a trouble maker since she was young, always disobeying her parents and getting into trouble, that is, until she bats her eyes speaks in a quivering, apologetic voice that gets usually everyone to forgive her.

❥She's an amazing emotional manipulator, but she doesn't ever use it. In that sense, Juliette is still the sweet girl that the whole world thinks she is; save for the abundance of flirtation. It's fun to her, the flirting that is. It's like a game, who can get flustered the most? She especially loves when the guy actually joins in and it becomes playful banter.

❥Bittersweet is best used to describe Juliette. On one hand, she loves her family and loved ones more than anything in the world, she's always the first one to worry whenever she senses something is off, her room is always open whenever anyone wants to rant or ask her for help. But on the flip side, she genuinely enjoys emotionally manipulating others and seeing their reactions, she snaps at anyone that's acting stupid and hates anyone that thinks that they're better than her.

❥She's the scariest when protecting what she loves. Her anger is not to be taken lightly, especially when she gets silent. You do not, under any circumstance, want Juliette to become silent when she's angry at you.

❥ One thing Juliette hates is having to act like a damsel in distress. She would rather die than grovel and beg at someone's feet. You could call her prideful, but she just has too much self respect to bring herself down to that level. She isn't above acting innocent and sweet because she can actually get something out of it, but begging is meaningless to her.

❥ She's a smart girl, and everyone knows it. She can be surprisingly perceptive and can spot a lie when she sees one, but she doesn't apply herself in terms of education.

❥Juliette is the type that won't do something if she doesn't find the point to it. She didn't go to college because she doesn't need a formal education to succeed in life.

❥She's usually pretty confident, but sometimes she loses herself in her insecurities. She knows she can be really mean sometimes and she's scared that no one actually likes her and is only tolerating her.

❥She tends to say and do dumb and hurtful things when she's anxious or insecure, as some kind of messed up defense mechanism. Her thought process is basically if she hurts them, they would just leave and they won't hurt her or see her hurt.

❥She understands people. Juliette sees habits and reactions and can make precise guesses on their personalities based off them.

❥She's a fantastic actress, if she does say so herself.

❥She's likes to think that she's a really comforting and helpful person, seeing as people sometimes go to her whenever they have problems. Usually regarding romance.

❥Being lesser in any way; it's understandable if it's from her family, since they are older than her, but if anyone even insinuates that she is lesser than them. Well, let's just say it won't end well.

❥Other people; only sometimes though, when they're acting stupid or hurting her family.

❥Juliette has lived a happy and carefree life so far. Her parents and older siblings were quite doting on her since she was young, and she lived for the praise and affection they gave her. As such, her facade began early.

❥She noticed how everyone cooed and giggled every time she did something cute, so she just began doing it more and more until it's officially began to take over her life.

❥It's not much of a facade any more, she genuinely is that kind sometimes, but she still thinks that she's nothing but a liar, and needs someone to tell her that she isn't.

❥She's terrified that people secretly hate her or are annoyed by her.

❥She also can't handle the idea of her family not being there for her. They've been her crutch for so long that she doesn't know how to stand without them.

On the plush red arm chair was Juliette. She sat sideways, her long, pale legs raised over one of the arms and swinging up and down like a child's. She tilted her head as she noticed a man stop in front of her, bright blue eyes dancing gleefully across his frame.

"So you're the guy that wants to marry my sister, right?" She asked, though both of them already knew the answer. Juliette swung off her seat, sauntering over to him with the controlled grace of a lioness stalking her prey. She looked the man up and down shamelessly, stepping closer till he could feel each puff of air she exhaled.

Juliette looked up, meeting his eyes and fluttering her eyelashes innocently. "Hey... instead of my sister, won't you love me instead?" She raised to her tip toes, lips ghosting over his before suddenly bursting into a fit of giggles. She twirled away from his grasp, smiling widely, tauntingly.

"I'm sorry, really! You just looked so~ cute that I couldn't help but tease." Her eyes then sharpened, the mirth disappearing behind a coldness that it almost chilled the room. "You believed me, though. Didn't you? You thought for a second there I was actually going to kiss you." She felt it in his aura, the hesitance, the feeling of almost giving in.

"My, my, I wonder what my sister would say when she finds out that her suitor is interested in her cute little sister instead! The scandal!" She gasped, still donning that cruel grin at him.

"Of course I won't get in trouble. But you.. hehe, you can kiss your engagement goodbye." She blew a kiss at him for emphasis, brushing past him out the door. "Men like you are disgusting." With those final words, she closed the doors behind her, leaving the man to stand in the darkened room alone.

❥Amias is a whirlwind of a person. He catches everyone by surprise and sucks them into his friend group before they even realize what's happening. He's the type of extrovert that adopts an army of introverts just like that.

❥He has an uncanny ability to make people feel heard, listened, something that doesn't happen to introverts all that much. He thinks that everyone's thoughts are all equally important and hates seeing people talked over.

❥He can listen to an introvert rant for days about something he has no interest in, just because he loves seeing their face light up when they talk about their passions.

❥Amias's father left him and his mother when he was very young, barely old enough to remember him. He never knew why he did it and he doesn't want to ask his mom in case it brings up bad memories, but basically his father had commitment issues and a baby (especially since his parents were both really young at the time) was too much responsibility, so he left.

❥It's quite the irony since Amias takes after him do much and even basically inherited his father's commitment issues. Of course, he would never leave a girl when she has a kid, but he's just more careful to get into relationships.

❥His mother's had to work and ask her siblings for money. She managed to save up enough to buy a jewelry store, where she works day in and day out. He promised her that if he won the selection she would never have to work a day in her life again, and set off to join.

❥Commitment; he doesn't want to be tied down to the wrong person, and doesn't want his relationship to fail like it did for his parents.

❥His mother overworking herself; with him not there to constantly watch over her, he's scared that she would work herself to the grave.

"Get out! Get out!" Amias flinched, hearing his mother's shrill voice echo through their small apartment. The sound of glass crashing coaxed him out of his bedroom, where he saw a man that looked somewhat like him standing in the living room, surrounded by glass shards and paper money.

"I just want to see him." The man whispered, staring mournfully at Amias' mother.

"Maybe you should've thought of that when you left us all those years ago. Take your money and leave, Jin." Jin. That was his dad's name.

"Mom?" His mother turned to face him, her face red and blotchy with tears.

"Go back to your room Amias, now."

"Is that hi—" / "But mo-"

"Now, Amias! Go!"

That was the first time Amias' mother ever raised her voice at him. Tears filled his eyes and he turned, slamming his door in both of his parents faces.

That was also the last time Amias ever saw his father.
