Maya is often described as rather cute and somewhat resembling a bunny, due to her soft demeanor and baby face. Her most discerning trait is her hair, which is blonde at the roots but fades to a pastel pink color. She's a little short for her age at 5'5. Her eyes are as captivating as the rest of her, as they are pools of ink, like shining obsidian.

Personality
Maya is.. simultaneously, the best and worst person to be around. On the bright side, she is endlessly kind and caring, always thinking of others before herself. She's naturally emphatic, and is just very easy to be around. Her power causes anyone around her to immediately be in a much better mood, which she doesn't mind, as she's shown to be quite a social butterfly

On the flip side, Maya has almost zero self preservation. Due to her pain tolerance, Maya is used to sacrificing herself as the scape goat to get others out of dangerous situations, and is almost frighteningly dismissive of her own health. She knows that she can't die that easily, and therefore tests the limits almost constantly. It's become an almost casual thing for her to put herself in life threatening situations.

Anything in her mouth: Maya has a small case of oral fixation, meaning that she loves the stimulation of her mouth (NOT in a sexual sense I swear—) She loves talking, singing, candy, eating, chewing gum, basically doing anything with her mouth.
Knives: Maya has a growing collection of pretty colored knives.

Voice: Maya, thankfully, has a beautiful voice, or else her constant talking would get incredibly annoying.
Memorization: Maya is randomly very good at memorizing things
Medicine: In addition, medicine.  It's mostly just remembering what's what and what does what, So Maya found it very easy.

Strengths
Her Health: Due to her healing abilities, Maya is extremely healthy.  Her immunity is almost impossibly high and there's little chance of her catching or developing any diseases.  She has 20/20 vision and all her internal organs are pretty much perfect.
Regeneration: Maya's healing abilities work on her own body as well, causing any moderate wounds to heal within minutes.
Weaknesses
Regeneration: Small cuts are fine, but if she heals any moderate or severe wounds/illnesses she would become incredibly dizzy and nauseated.  Sometimes she would even pass out.
Physical: Maya is not very fast, nor does she have good stamina.  She's very durable, but not impossible to defeat.
Self preservation: I touched on this already earlier
Extremely stubborn: she would never admit to anyone if she's actually hurt.

Backstory
Maya was born to a completely average life, she had an older brother who was a picture perfect son, and she was the picture perfect daughter they always wanted. Whenever she tried to stray from their image, her parents always forced her right back in, it was exhausting, it was horrible, acting like something you're not, playing along to a game of pretend that began when you didn't even know what 'pretend' was.

The game was easy. In front of other people, they would act out this perfect, beautiful and healthy family. Her brother was a straight A student who was also part of the student council at school. He was supposed to carry on the family name and take over the company. She was the daughter who was not only smart but also beautiful.

She was very young when she began trying to rebel. It.. it didn't last very long. Her parents were brutal when angered, they locked her in her room and starved her for weeks on end. When they finally let her out, all they said to her was "You had to lose a few more pounds, you were getting too chubby." And then the game of pretend resumed after that.

She was in her teens when she ran away, leaving not even a note. Her brother, her only real friend in that world of imagination, knew that she was leaving, encouraged her, told her to live life for both of them. She wandered for months until she was found by the others, and she jumped at the thought of having a real family, who would accept her for who she really was.

Main Power
Healing: Very self explanatory, Maya has the ability to heal anything from small cuts to life threatening illnesses. The cut of towards her power is that she can not regenerate limbs, and if the illness (for example cancer) has spread to other parts of the body, she may not be able to heal them.

So far, there is no known scientific reason for why Soo Yun gained this power, but she has learned that it works because she naturally secretes a hormone that causes stem cells and any other cells that work in healing wounds to pretty much accelerate and multiply.

Likability: The same hormone she secretes that makes stem cells multiply and accelerate also causes other people to feel a very small rush of dopamine (the happy emotion). It isn't enough to make people high around her, just make her extremely likable.

Pain tolerance: Soo Yun is one of the rare abnormals that doesn't have an enhanced five senses (in better terms, she doesn't have heightened sight, hearing, smell, taste, or touch). Instead, she has an extremely high pain tolerance, but more specifically, she doesn't feel pain at all. It works in tandem with her healing powers (which work on her as well). If her body is going to regenerate/heal the wound in mere seconds, there's no point in feeling the pain of it.
