∽Marianne is studious and silent, the type of girl that you would accidentally bump into in the hallways because you didn't even notice her walking there.
∽While Lucian is a cat, with all his coyness and intelligence, Marianne is more like a mouse, only leaving her house when she absolutely needs to, and running right back after she got what she needed.
∽Sure, it might seem incredibly lonely, being only with yourself all day, but Marianne doesn't mind at all.  She has all the books she could want, and if she ever needs to socialize, her brothers are always there.  But is she really content this way?
∽Marianne doesn't have many friends, maybe because of her father's reputation as a villain, maybe because she isn't one to talk, it's probably a mix of both, but the tiny group of friends that she might have, she treasures greatly. Though it doesn't seem like that at all.
∽Marianne often tries to push herself to the sides of the group, not wanting to get too close in case they find her boring and want to leave her. She says it would be better for everyone that way, no one would get hurt, except her. She does everything she can not to get too close, staying firmly planted in the "acquaintance" zone.
∽Despite this, she is incredibly loyal, the moment someone gives her even the slightest amount of kindness, she would latch on to them like a leech, or like a puppy more like it, with wide, shining eyes. She treasures every single moment she has with her friends, because she always thinks that it would be the last.
∽She's not sure where this type of hesitation and idea of friendship came from, and she's been trying to change it. Take one step closer, bring yourself to love and be loved, and yet it's like her body physically forces her back, her mind jumping at all these outrageous ideas that make all her confidence disappear.
∽Subconsciously, her body knows how destructive Marianne can become. To be loved by Marianne is like to be held captive with a gun to your head. One word, and the trigger is pulled. The moment she admits she has feelings for anyone is the moment the safety is clicked off.
∽At first, she is obsessive, to the point of controlling her lover. It is a cruel, but beautiful love. This can be reversed, of course, I'm not that cruel. You can teach her true love, show her what it really means when you love someone. It will be hard, since her mind is already so warped into believing a certain way, but like all things, it's temporary.

∽Lucian is an actor, a dramatic one at that, and the whole world is his stage. He's a bit over the top at times and definitely all over the place, which leads to a lot of people getting annoyed with him.
∽First impressions with him are always rough, because he's actually kind of an asshole when you first meet him, but once he gets to know you he becomes a lot nicer.
∽And when I mean nicer I mean he becomes a puppy, like actually adorable little kid that just wants his friends to have fun and be happy.
∽One thing to know about Lucian is that he absolutely loves any kind of attention, so just don't give him any reactions and he'd usually leave you alone.
∽Everyone that has met him thought he was this cool guy who's a bit intimidating at times when really he's a pouty little brat that throws tantrums when he don't get what he wants.
∽He's very possessive, especially of his friends and family, and has to mentally tell himself to back off, scared that he would cause them to run away.
∽Lucian isn't very honest with himself at all. His outer personality never matching with his inward one. Being around people he's interested in makes him unable to pretend, and that makes him flustered beyond belief which is an amazing sight to behold.
