The goddess of the moon was a lovely lady by the name of Morgana. 

She loved to danced in the night sky and played with the star light fairy’s. She would help them dip the stars in a pond of star dust so they may sparkle throughout the night. In return the star fairy's gave her one wish she may use at any time she desired. Morgana was very grateful to her little friends and was very careful not to be selfish with her wish.

  One day the star fairy's sent her to the kingdom of the sun god to gather the extra sun light so they could make more star dust for they had run short of it. When she arrived the sun god met her at the gate. When he saw her he was taken by her beauty, he introduced him self as Emerous. He invited her to come over later, she was so delighted she excepted his invitation gathered the sun light and went on her way.

  When she got back the star fairy's were happy to see that there friend had made it back. "What took you so long?" asked a fairy. "What happened?" asked another. Then they all began to ask questions. So Morgana began to explain what had happened. After hearing what had happened they began to worry what the other gods wouldn't like this? But Morgan was not worried one bit.

  For the next couple of weeks Morgana and Emerous met up and would spend there time dancing, making jokes, and talking about what they like to do. one night Emerous asked if he could meet the star fairy's that she had told him so much about. Morgana began to worry it wasn’t a good idea but she didn’t want to disappoint him so she took him to meet her little friends. The little fairy's were very exited to meet him and he was exited to meet them. the fairy's introduced themselves and showed him how they make the stars and place the stars in the sky. He had never had so much fun in his life. As day approached the sun god thanked the star fairy's for a wonderful time and went home.  

  The next day when Morgana came to visit him he was in pain at the sight of her. She could tell something was wrong. She was sad to see him in so much pain she wanted to help, she asked him to tell her why he was in pain. He didn’t want to tell her but he had to. He told her he had been ordered by the gods to not see her any more. She was heart broken at the thought of this, in tears she ran off back to the moon where she wept in sorrow.

  She wept for weeks. she did not play sing or dance with the fairy's. She no longer helped them dip the stars into the pond of star dust. Every night she grew sadder and did not have the strength to light up the moon so the moon began to fade in parts until there was no moon to light the night sky. Then one night one of the fairy's named Twinkle came to visit her, Twinkle felt so sad for the moon goddess she had to help her! Then she remembered that it was she who gave Morgana a wish, a wish that could help her.

  The moon goddess was so delighted to her this news.  So the moon goddess wished to be allowed to see her love. Twinkle warned Morgana that seeing her love had limits and that she could see her love only once a month. The moon goddess agreed and was granted her wish, Every night they where not together the moon would grow dimer and smaller but once a month the moon goddess and sun god would dance, sing, and play with the star fairy's and the moon would be as full and bright as ever.
