Old man Urokodaki Sakonji is a kind man. Strict and serious, but kind.
After the first time, he never asked for the Jinchuuriki's name, which relieved him, but made him feel a bit guilty.
The man only asked two things in return for all his help.
His wellbeing.
And his ability to protect himself.
"Again!" The blonde charged with his bokken, determined to land one hit on the old man. It was evaded easily and the man pushed him back instead.
The peach blonde was panting, his palms shaking around the wooden sword.
Sakonji lowered his bokken.
"That's enough for today, you should go run 5 laps up and down the mountain."
The boy nodded, putting away his bokken.
A thought crossed his mind. He never gave Urokodaki-san a name to call him.
But he can't share his... Old name. He wanted to discard it.
He remembered his katana, the one Itachi gave him. The Rusted Rabbit. Sabito.
"Sabito.." He tested the name on his tongue. It fit just right.
"Urokodaki-san, wait!" He called to the leaving man, stopping him.
"What is it-"
"Sabito."
The man gave a confused hum.
"My name... It's Sabito."
He could see the man nod, and his Chakra felt the shift in the man's face.
"He's smiling." Kurama helpfully stated.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Sabito."
The newly named Sabito could feel his chest swell up in pride.
He's a new person now. No Uzumaki, no Namikaze, not part of the Hidden Leaf, not a freak, a bringer of misfortune.
Just Sabito.
He started his run up Mt.Sagiri with newfound enthusiasm, not knowing how his life would change with this simple decision.

Urokodaki-san was late, Sabito noted. It was nighttime and the old man was yet to return.
Now don't get him wrong, even without Chakra and only a sword, the man could give S-rank shinobis a run for their money.
But what if something happened to him?
"Sabito! Prepare a futon, a bucket of water and a towel!" He heard Urokodaki-san's voice outside.
The peach blonde peeked out and immediately ran to get the requirements.
In the old man's arms is a boy, wearing a burgundy yukata and hakama pants, with messy black hair tied in a low ponytail.
There are spoltches of blood on him.
When Sakonji finished cleaning and bandaging up the boy, he placed him onto the futon Sabito had placed down.
"Will he be ok, Urokodaki-san?"
The old man hummed. "We just have to wait and see."
Sabito nodded numbly as they stood up and get ready for bed.
His mind kept going back to the small boy.

The next morning, Sabito woke up from a loud shout.
"Where am i!? Nee-san!"
He made a mad dash to the boy who was panicking and Sakonji who was calming him to no avail.
"I need to go help Tsutako-nee-san! They're after her! She-"
A bonk to the head stopped the rambling.
"Calm down, and tell me what happened." Sakonji said sternly but gently. The boy gulped.
"They-they were ch-chasing us. I-i don't understand! Our foster p-parents, they were so nice! But t-then they want to kill us.. Nee-san h-held my hand as she ran, but we... We weren't fast enough. T-they called more people, and Nee-san and i barely e-escaped. When we reached the forest, she..." A sob escaped the boy's throat.
"S-she told me to go.. That she would hold them back. Sh-she said she would come f-find me when she escapes! I need to go find her, please-"
"There's no hope."
Sakonji said solemly. The boy froze.
"Wh-what?..."
"You have a bloodline, correct?" The boy nodded.
Sakonji knows of the Bloodline Purge in Kirigakure, where all of those who have Kekkei Genkai gets killed.
"Then she can't be saved. They killed her."
"N-no... This isn't true... You're joking, right?" No reply. "You're lying... Please tell me you're lying!" Still no reply.
The boy was in hysterics as he cried and screamed, similar to how... Sabito did, at hearing the news.
"Nee-san! Tsutako-nee-san!" The boy wailed painfully at the loss of his beloved sister, and Sakonji and Sabito could only watched in sympathy.
"... It's all my faul.." He sobbed. "If it wasn't for me, she wouldn't have... If i hadn't used it.."
Sakonji rubbed circles on the boy's back, mindful of the wounds.
"Accidental Bloodline activation is a totally normal thing, especially if you have no knowledge of it." He said softly. "It isn't your fault. You hadn't meant for it to happen. It was the villagers' fault for being that way."
The boy sobbed loudly as he burried his face into Sakonji's yukata, saying 'i'm sorry' repeatedly. Sabito watched the whole scene in silence.
He silently promised himself to help this boy however he can, to give this boy a better life, even without his sister by his side.
"My name is Sabito." He said, bringing the boy's attention to him. "What's your name?"
The boy sniffed.
"Gi-Giyuu... T-Tomioka Giyuu.."
"Nice to meet you, Giyuu!" He patted the boy's bluish black hair. "From now on, we'll be your family. We can't replace your sister, but we will help you to the best of our abilities! So man up and stop crying, you're a man, are you not?"
Giyuu nodded with a shaky smile.
"T-thank you, S-Sabito."
Sabito grinned, sitting down next to Giyuu.
Sakonji watched the exchange with a fond smile behind his Tengu mask.
These young boys, at the young age of 10 and less, have experienced horrible things that might drive a man insane.
Maybe this was God's way of smiling down at them.
Giyuu, of the sudden loss of his sister and his home.
Sabito, who Sakonji doubts was his real name, but the boy treated it like it was, of the hatred and negligence from his old home and village.
Sakonji thanked whatever god out there for giving these suffering boys another better chance in life.
He thanked whatever deity out there for giving him a chance to help them.
To prevent those bad things from happening again. To them. To anyone.
"My name is Urokodaki Sakonji. From this day on, you are always welcomed here, as it is your home, just as it is ours."
"I will not let them touch you again."
He plan to keep the promise.
On that very day, most of the inhabitants of the Mist village shuddered, as well as the Leaf. The Kyuubi was laughing at the potential chaos that would hit them in the future, and the Namikaze-Uzumaki family have a feeling they've royally pissed off someone they should not have pissed off.
Hell hath no fury like a father who's sons scorned.
