Bloodstained.

He could feel his body tremble, his mind numb; Anaesthetized.

Flashes of that dreadful catastrophe flood into his brain.

Cold sweat formed on his pale, scratched skin; the immobility biting his throat. He could feel the pain coursing through his pulsating veins, throbbing muscles seizing his sanity.

His toes curled, palm turning into passionless fists as he gasped for air, chest tightening with pain. Eyes heavier than rocks, while unknown sounds rang in his ears. He could feel gentle and rough hands on his skin, many hands.

The urgent movements of those hands sending him into a different zone, brows furrowing with turmoil. Then suddenly, he was wailing, the shrill voice tormenting his ears. Out of nowhere, his upper body was being lifted, a hand soothing his back, while other hands rubbed his feet.

Taehyung jolted awake, panting as he finally drew in the breath. "L-Leave m-me," he tried to push those hands away, feeling every single touch burn into his skin. 'Calm down,' the cloudy words reached his ears, and then he finally looked up with his heavy, bloodshot eyes.

And then it was all white.

All he saw were the plain white walls, three people in white gathered around him. And then the smell of medicines hit him, ultimately realising where he was.

"Please lay down," he heard the same voice say; the doctor.

"W-water," he asked instead, feeling his throat relax when the liquid finally ran down. His hands felt shaky, as he held the glass, the nurse helping him.

Jungkook.

As soon as his bleeding face flashed through his mind, a chill ran down his spine. His body instantly acted up by itself, as his heartbeat nearly exploded. "J-Jungkook," he choked, hand injected with the venipuncture needle coming to hold his chest.

"Don't stress, you may have another panic—"

"Where's J-Jungkook?" He asked, his grip on the sheet turning his knuckles white.

"He's completely fine and resting."

"I n-need to see him, please," his breath busted.

Taehyung saw the doctor gesture the nurse, who went to draw the white curtain beside taehyung, and there jungkook laid, unconscious and cold; forehead covered with bandages. He held back a sob, seeing his boyfriend in this state he felt a part of himself wounded. Instinctively, he tried to stand to get a closer look, but the pain shooting through his body held him back. His helplessness finally let the stream of tears break free, as he whimpered uncontrollably.

"Sir, you could have a panic attack, please lay down," One of the nurses voiced, already working her hands to lay him down, but he only pulled away, listlessly thrashing in her hold.

His eyes never left jungkook. Even when he was injected with anaesthesia, he kept looking at him until his eyes gave in.

It was nearly sunset when taehyung woke up again, and this time to the sight of jungkook looking at him with a plethora of emotions. At first, Taehyung didn't believe his eyes, he didn't believe the view of Jungkook smiling down at him with moist orbs. It was the gentle touch of his lover that caused a lone tear cascade down his eye, feeling relieved and overwhelmed all at once.

"You're okay, love," Jungkook mumbled, his voice rough but sealed with thick emotions, and Taehyung held back a sob, pressing his forehead to the raven head's cheek.

Their beds were tucked together at Jungkook's request, who was no different when he awoke. This experience was new to him too, in the worst way possible. He couldn't recall how they ended up where they did, but he could not rub off the feeling of guilt that was swallowing him.

"I'm sorry," he whispered weakly, a hand coming to soothe Taehyung's charcoal grey locks.

Taehyung pulled back to look Jungkook in the eye, "There's no reason for you to be sorry, Gguk," he mellowed, fingertips grazing around his bruised jaw in the hopes to heal it.

"Who else is to blame, tae?" his voice broke.

"It wasn't you gguk, not at all. This accident was just...I don't know, weird? But, whatever it was, it wasn't you," he reassured while Jungkook only shook his head.

"I feared I'd lose you, tae," he admitted, hand drawing downwards and to taehyung's back.

"Me too. But I'm here. You're here. And we're okay."

Jungkook nodded, "We're okay," he repeated.

Taehyung hummed, pressing his lips to the corner of Jungkook's mouth. "Does it hurt anywhere?" he asked, now searching his skin for any wounds.

"I can't really feel my body, right now," he answered, seeing taehyung's face morph into a pained expression, "You?"

"I'm okay," he breathed out.

"I see you're awake," the doctor interrupted.

According to the doctor, the accident was minor, but both of them had multiple fractures, and wounds on their bodies. Taehyung was suggested bed rest for half a month because of maximum muscle ruptures in the lower body; while Jungkook prevented a terrible head injury that somehow still managed to affect his internal organs, but minimally.

But then, a thought hit Taehyung like a truck.

"Excuse me, there was one more person, a man, who was involved with us in the accident, is he alright?"

"Um, I'm pretty sure you two were the only ones in the car."

"How's that possible? He was in the back seat."

"I'll cross-check with the reception, but I'm certain it was just you two."

Taehyung and Jungkook shared a look.

"Didn't he say he had to see someone in the hospital?" Taehyung turned towards Jungkook as the doctor excused himself. No, he didn't want to believe that Minwoo just abandoned them in the car, that is if he somehow managed to remain conscious. But, at that moment, nothing else really made sense.

"He did, but there's no chance he could've gone by himself. The backseat didn't even have an airbag." Jungkook replied, head hurting because of the labyrinth they were stuck in.

"What might've happened to him?"
