Chapter 4: The Extraordinary Squad Is Formed

The jet landed on the parking of planes behind the Vigilantary tower itself.

The tower is shaped like the letter "V", and is very tall, four-hundred and ninty-three meters in height. It has exactly one hundred floors, with all of it separated into two areas, due to the V-shaped structure of the tower.

"Wait, is the tower really shaped like the letter V, or am I just seeing wrong?" Nechro-logy asked.

"Yes, it is. It is really shaped like that. I really intended to make it be like that." Agent NC answered, while preparing everyone to be able to go down from the jet already.

"Cool." Nechro-logy replied.

"Not just cool, bruh! SUPER COOL! First time I've ever seen such!" Breakneck added.

"Alright, boys, you may now go down." Agent NC said, then pressed a button which opened the exit door of the jet.

Breakneck was able to go out the fastest, by just less than a second. He was followed by Dragon Wrestler, who flew fast. Rumby Knight and Nechro-logy just walked, so they came last.

"It's good to be back home in Northern Ireland after a year of moving to London." Nechro-logy said, seeing and feeling the presence of his original home country, Northern Ireland.

Rumby Knight gave him a big and friendly grin, and patted him on the shoulder.

"Welcome back, homecoming Irish-English boy." Rumby told him.

Nechro-logy replied with a smile, then a chuckle. "Thanks." he then thanked Rumby.

Agent NC ran to lead them going inside the tower. "Follow me, boys!" he called.

Rumby Knight, Nechro-logy and Breakneck ran in normal speeds, while Dragon Wrestler flew in his normal flight speed. Breakneck was still fastest, followed by Dragon Wrestler, then Rumby Knight, and lastly Nechro-logy.

Agent NC led them to the left side, then scanned his hand on the hand-scanner.

"You are director Nouis Chadrick McHawkins. Who are the four others with you?" said a robot voice.

"They are four young superheroes with superpowers. I am taking them with me for them to be known and introduced, and also for them to know and be aware of some things. Meet Aspric Rumby Gastrell, a knight of the Buckingham Palace, Calum Necrolie Portendorfer, an Irish-English secret scientist and engineer, Gareth Pollux Edevane, a very strong and dangerous Welsh boy and Zorb Elton MacQuoid, a young Scottish boy of enthusiasm, speed and athleticism." Agent NC replied.

"Okay, you all are in." the robot voice told them, then the door opened.

Agent NC led them inside.

"Welcome to the Vigilantary tower, boys." Agent NC welcomed them.

Now, they saw what it looks like inside the tower.

"This is the left side. What's in the right side? What's their difference?" Nechro-logy asked.

"This left side is for the rooms of each Vigilantary agent. The right side is for the training areas, navigations, and other things. Right now, I am taking you to my office on the highest floor here in the left side of the building. It is at the-hundredth floor." Agent NC answered.

"Cool. I love this tower. It is so cool. Everything looks technological. And it seems the V-shape made it even cooler." Nechro-logy replied, while looking around at the technological left lobby.

The lobby was filled with many picture frames, some guns on display, couches, tables, transparent projection screened-computers and many more. There are a few agents who are using the computers. Two agents are standing near the door, acting as guards.

"Wait. Are we going to take the stairs, going to one-hundredth floor? Why does it seem that there is no elevator? Zorb would definitely be able to reach that place in a second, while Gareth and Necrolie could both fly fast going there, but I will be the one to experience difficulties here. Is there an elevator?" Rumby Knight asked.

"Of course. But it is controlled by a remote. Watch." Agent NC answered.

Agent NC got a remote from a pocket inside his jacket, then pressed some buttons in it.

The elevator suddenly appeared on a spot, seemingly a spot for an elevator.

"WOW! Seriously? This is like..magic! The elevator just suddenly appeared like a sorcerer said it so!" said Breakneck.

"Technically, it's not like magic, it's definitely technology. The sudden appearance of the elevator looked like that it came from a transparent projection screened-computer. Man! I am so dumbfounded by the technology here in the Vigilantary!" Nechro-logy replied.

Agent NC pressed another button in the remote, which opened the door of the elevator.

"Come on inside, boys." Agent NC told the boys, then led them going inside the elevator.

After all of them got inside, Agent NC pressed a button in the remote, which caused the elevator to travel upward, going to the one-hundredth floor.

"This is so cool, dudes!!! I feel like I'm flying inside a computer!!!" Breakneck exclaimed childishly.

"Yeah! Me too! The technology here is so cool! I wish I could also make such in the future!" Nechro-logy added.

"Oh, you two make me sick. You know that?! Elevators are already making me sick!" Dragon Wrestler whined, while being seemingly sick as the elevator travels upward.

"Hey, bro, are you claustrophobic?" Rumby Knight asked Dragon Wrestler.

"Yeah. I really am." Dragon Wrestler answered.

"Just hold my sword. It might help. I know my weapon a lot, it soothes those who are in situations that you get motion-sick, dizzy, or even when claustrophobia attacks, and more, related and close to those I mentioned. Trust me!" Rumby Knight told Dragon Wrestler, then offered him his soothing sword.

"Thanks, man. You guys really seem nice, most especially you, knight- er, Rumby." Dragon Wrestler thanked Rumby Knight, with a true smile, then touched his soothing sword.

Dragon Wrestler felt better touching Rumby Knight's sword.

Nechro-logy and Breakneck expressed their mutual feeling of getting so much astonished and delighted at the elevator.

"What floor are we now? It's just a few seconds, we are at fifty floor already! This is so fast, but I'm definitely faster!" said Breakneck.

"No, you are not faster, don't force me to believe you." Nechro-logy replied.

"What? I'll show you, I can immediately-" Breakneck immediately reacted, but Nechro-logy was able to stun him with a small stunner gun from his left knee.

"Whoops. Not so fast. I meant you are not only faster, but also the fastest. Calm down, Break! Nechro-logy told Breakneck.

"Oh! Okay! Haha, nice joke, hahahaha! I can't stop laughing, bruh! I can't believe geniuses could also be humorous at times! And I loved it when you keep calling me 'Break'. I'm glad to have you as a friend now." Breakneck replied to Nechro-logy, then offered a bro fist and a hi-5 with him, in which he consents.

"I am really blissful to see that you four are getting along very well. Come on, we are at the destination now, at my office. We got a lot to talk about." Agent NC then told the four.

The elevator opened as it reached one hundredth-floor already.

The four youngsters followed Agent NC as he went out, going inside his office.

Agent NC's office is very wide, has walls and everything else colored in blue.

The four looked around the room. Breakneck and Nechro-logy were amazed and delighted about what they are seeing.

"This room looks pretty technological too." said Breakneck.

"Yeah, that's why I love it as well! I love everything here!" Nechro-logy replied joyously.

"Blue is my favorite color, and this office is all blue? Are all offices of agents here like this?" Breakneck added.

"Maybe. Even the elevator is blue. Just not the lobby, though." Nechro-logy replied.

"Alright, that is enough. You boys sit at the four chairs surrounding my table. It is now time to talk." Agent NC told the four.

Agent NC sat on his office chair, while the four sat on the four chairs. On the two chairs on the left sat Rumby Knight and Dragon Wrestler, while on the right sat Nechro-logy and Breakneck.

"Okay, listen. You see. I knew about the four of you ever since I knew you had superpowers. I discovered Rumby first, since he had it ever since he was born, like naturally, but nobody is sure about anything in his superpowers. Just by a year now, i immediately new about Necrolie, specially by the fact that he originally lives near me here in Belfast. We failed to stop the criminals that were going after his parents. Vigilantary was not formed yet that time. We, the secret agents joined some vigilantes in hunting them down, but we were not that great that time. I immediately became curious about him, I gathered information about him even by the time he is moving to London. I knew all along that he has potential to make science and technology in his own ways. I watched him doing his own scientific and technological things alone while grieving a lot. I realized that I was right at focusing on him when I witnessed his success of making his very own amazing technology which eventually became his superpowers. So, therefore, I got two on my mind, but I never had the chance to talk to Necrolie, only to Rumby. Perhaps, I understand Necrolie may still be grieving a lot, and I was giving him the widest space and time he needs that time. I could not find anyone else with superpowers here in United Kingdom but these two, until just four weeks ago, I witnessed criminals that we, the newly-formed Vigilantary could not stop, have succeeded in killing Gareth's parents. I got concerned and curious about Gareth. He was thrown away somewhere, a strange and mysterious place. That place had normally mysterious particles which are very unidentified, not even our technology could identify, but it gave Gareth his incredible superpowers. I got curious about Gareth, I continued watching him and felt even more interested in him when I saw him stopping criminals on his own, with avoiding himself being seen by the eyes of the public. I got three, then. Just last week, I knew about what happened to Zorb. Even that rock was so unidentified. But I really got interested in Zorb. I saw in Rumby a potential leader. I knew all along Necrolie's genius-level intellect would not only help and benefit himself but a team, a team of heroes like him. We all probably know that every team needs a muscle, and I have been thinking of Gareth. He is definitely going to be the muscle of a dream team of mine, that is very obvious. And lastly, Zorb. I realized that he will be a good addition to my dream time. I have the leader, the brains and the muscle. I realized that I might need somebody who is quick, nimble, agile, athletic and enthusiastic for the team that could be the secondary heart of the team as well. Zorb is definitely perfect for that. Now, my dream team is complete. It is the four of you." Agent NC started the talk.

None of the four replied yet, they just continued listening. They knew Agent NC is not finished yet.

Agent NC turned in his transparent projection-screened computer, wherein he showed the files about the team of War Clashers.

"I also knew about this super villain team - The War Clashers. They consist of their leader, a military soldier who joined the military for his evil plans for the world, the American-English former US colonel Barton Rupert Villein. His alias is General Militarizer. He is the villain that Rumby faced, who can summon a military battlefield. He can sends military troops, tanks, war planes and more for combat, as his weapons. He is also a very good tactician. Along with him are three more, who used to be his best friends ever since childhood. One of those three is Kington Myung Sallow, a very smart Korean-English scientist and engineer who wants to use his genius-level intellect for evil things and to help his three best friends in everything. He is the villain Necrolie faced. He granted himself technology, of having an armor made of aluminum and the ability to project massive energy blasts. He is now known as Professor Aluminum. He has a robot assistant who also acted as their team's robot assistant, Then, we have Parker Maurice Dankworth here. He is an American expert vehicle mechanic who creates, repairs and designs vehicles, having his own vehicle shop. He plans to use his excellence as a vehicle mechanic for evil things in the future. Maurice is the villain Gareth has faced, known as Vehicle Shifter, who can shift his body into any vehicle he desires and getting the strengths and weaknesses of each. Lastly, we have Lemuel Austin Culpepper, an expert criminal excellent at all crimes and never gets caught by vigilantes. He gets his own benefits by his own crimes, which also helps his three best friends. He then became Laser Man, having the superpowers of turning his whole body into laser and projecting blasts of it. Zorb has faced him a while ago. All their superpowers are created by Kington, or Professor Aluminum and his robot assistant, Kinger." Agent NC continued, while using his transparent projection screened-computer to show them the files of what he is talking about.

"Wait. What about those criminals? Those who killed our parents?" Rumby Knight asked.

"We have not succeeded yet in them, they are still out there, on the loose, but they are just regular criminals. Nowadays, Vigilantary is getting better and getting better. It might be a bit of a cake to take them down. The hard thing we might not be able take now is the War Clashers. They are a different kind of criminals already. We need to fight these superpowers against superpowers, and you four are perfect. Let us focus on that. Maybe when you four got used to these, you might be able to succeed in defeating every criminal, even them. I am pretty sure these villains, the War Clashers are not the first and last of their kind. There will be more criminals who have superpowers to suddenly come and make their own move in trying to launch their evil plot for our world. And before you ask, we were not able to get the identities of those criminals who killed your parents, due to a conflict, but we are trying to work on it now." Agent NC answered.

"Sir! We are a dream team of yours, right? Now, we are altogether! What are your next plans for us? To train us?" said Breakneck.

"Yeah, you got it right. I am going to train you four. But before that, I need to ask something from you four." Agent NC replied.

The four looked at each other.

"What's that?" Rumby Knight asked.

"I need a team name. I am going to give you the freedom to choose the name for yourselves." Agent NC answered.

"Oh! I got it! By a quick thinking! Wanna know?" Breakneck answered.

"Of course, we want to know! Why would we not want to know? It's our team name!" Dragon Wrestler replied.

"I know all four of us are all loners. Rumby, because he's just one knight over there having his own duties. Necrolie, because he's way too different and apart from others, he really wants to be alone himself, specially about his science and technology things. Gareth, because he's Gareth. I would not like to say much frank things about you, I know how to avoid harm, for sure, you know. And me? I'm still a loner in school, but a lot of friends who are just ordinary friends, I just don't have a real and official squad. In fact, I'm always the bullied one, and everyone's annoyed by me. My school just doesn't like me, but I'm okay with that. Okay, I can see it in Gareth's face that he's getting impatient already. I'll be straight to the point. We could be a new squad, tentententententen, tentententententen, tentententententen! tentententententen! Tenen! Tentententententen, tentententententen, tentententententen! The Extraordinary Squa! That's our team name, alright?! Why? Because we are all more than ordinary ourselves. Our lives, they even became extraordinary after some events which have changed everything within us. Together, we would be an extraordinary squad. Alright! Is it good? What do you think?" Breakneck told them the team name he had thought of with some elucidations.

"I will say that it is a perfect name for us. I really love it! It fits, it really does!" Rumby Knight said in consenting.

"Yeah. It sounds good. You are pretty good at naming, Break!" Nechro-logy added.

"So, what about him?" Breakneck asked, pointing to Dragon Wrestler, who has not spoke about his opinion yet.

"What about me? Oh, yeah. I'm extraordinary, but I don't want to be in a squad!" Dragon Wrestler answered for himself.

"Oh, man. That's bad to hear. Are you getting attacked again by..you know, that thing?" Breakneck replied with a gloomy tone.

"Nope. I meant I don't want to be a squad, but if you three will be my best friends in that squad, I might be fine with it. And the name, nice job, Scottish boy for thinking of such a wonderful and perfect one." Dragon Wrestler then said, which made all of them, even Agent NC delighted.

"Alright! Finally, the Extraordinary Squad is formed! Get yourselves ready, boys. I am going to test you in a training session, to see how you will do as an official team for the first time around. Are you ready, Extraordinary Squad?" Agent NC spoke blissfully.

"YES!!!" they exclaimed altogether.

"EXTRAORDINARY SQUAD, GO!" Rumby Knight yelled, then raised his shining sword and shield.

The others raised their arms as well.
