The Extraordinary Squad: Discovering Potentials

Chapter 1: The Sudden Attack in United Kingdom

One day, a secret super villain team officially formed, called "War Clashers" has planned their first attack already.

They all met in an old warehouse located in a dark and a little private location, which is barely visited by people.

There were four of them.

The first one is their leader, a soldier of the military who has the superpowers to create his own troops, tanks, war planes and other things of a war or battlefield. He is also a good battle tactician. He uses the alias "General Militarizer".

Then, the second one is an expert scientist and engineer who can control his body for it to be covered in aluminum, becoming his armor. His armor can project powerful energy blasts and grants him flight as well. Because of his armor, he is very durable and resilient. He calls himself "Professor Aluminum".

Next, the third one is a vehicle mechanic who creates and repairs vehicles on his own, running his own company of creating and fixing vehicles. He has the superpower of shapeshifting his body into any vehicle, and each vehicle gives him different skills and advantages in combat. He is called "Vehicle Shifter".

Lastly, the fourth one is an expert criminal with tremendous athleticism and excellent fighting skills. He is a well-known criminal in London who is wanted by the police, but never gets caught. With his skills, he always evades the cops. Now, he received the superpower of covering his whole body with laser and projecting blasts of it. He gave himself the alias of "Laser Man".

All of them were sitting down on chairs, having a meeting on a table.

"We shall now commence with our planned destruction. Soon, we will rule Earth, as the Champions. They will be forced to yield because of the power we will be able to show. Let us start with United Kingdom, the place we are in right now. Professor Aluminum and I will assault London. I will be the one to attack the Buckingham Palace and the areas near it. Vehicle Shifter, go for Wales. And Laser Man. You are at Scotland." said General Militarizer.

"Aye! It's now time to show the world these powers we have! I'm ready!" Laser Man exclaimed, then stood up and covered his body with laser.

"I'm ready too. Also excited." said Vehicle Shifter gloomily, then turned his body into a motorcycle.

"Me three! I made these powers for all of you, and I know it will really work out well!" Professor Aluminum enunciated, then started covering his body slowly with aluminum.

"Alright, then, let's start right now. CHAMPIONS, GO!!!" General Militarizer said to all of them, then ran fast ahead, going outside of the warehouse.

Vehicle Shifter followed him on wheels. On the other hand, Laser Man and Professor Aluminum flew.

They all separated places. General Militarizer headed straight since they are just in Westminster, and going exactly to the Buckingham Palace. Professor Aluminum headed east, to the other areas of London he can assault. Vehicle Shifter headed west, to attack Wales. Laser Man headed south, to attack in Scotland.

Meanwhile, in the Buckingham Palace of Westminster, London, where the king and queen are, an Irish secret agent visited them and decided to talk to one of the knights.

It was the youngest knight, who was only seventeen years old. His name is Aspric Rumby Gastrell. He was orphaned at a young age, having his parents killed by criminals. The other knights just found him alone on the streets, so they decided to take them into the castle. The king and queen decided to take care of him, and soon, the knights discover that he possesses an extreme superpower of charging light from his body. The knights reported this to the king and queen, and suggested that he should be trained into a knight because of his incredible power. The king and queen consent, but Rumby himself gave a request of not telling his superpower to others, as he made it a promise to his parents before they died. All of them promised to not tell anyone. They then train Rumby into a knight with excellent fighting skills.

They talked in a private room. The Irish secret agent was Agent Nouis Chadrick MacHawkins, better known as "Agent NC". He is the founder, manager and head of an agency in North Ireland called "Vigilantary", where any of policemen and military soldiers who want to be secret agents could join. Other aspiring secret agents are free to join as well, but the agency is more recommended for vigilantes and soldiers, since Vigilantary agents need excellent fighting skills in their missions, filled with combat of trying to stop crime and spy a lot, too.

"So, what is this about, sir NC?" Rumby asked Agent NC.

"It's about your superpowers. I know how you wanted it private, so I really made this talk private between just the two of us." Agent NC answered.

"Wait, sir. First things first. How did you know about my superpowers?"

"Oh, Rumby, my boy. I've seen you secretly. You know I'm a secret agent, right? While you were fighting the criminals who invaded your castle, you used your powers and I saw it. I was with some other Vigilantary agents, spying on them. We saw you, and tried to know more information about you. We now know you very well, and I decided to talk to you already right now, because I really need something important from your superpowers."

"Right. You are a secret agent. Okay. What's that something important you need from my superpowers?"

"I just discovered a secret team of four super villains who also have superpowers, and they plan to use their superpowers to destroy the world. They will begin with London. We used a stealthy scout drone, to know about their plans, and we just found out that they plan it already right now. Look, we have to act fast, because they are already starting right now. We got no more time for any other-"

Agent NC wasn't even finished with his statement, when he suddenly stopped for a while.

"What is it?" Rumby asked him.

"I hear sounds. Come on, we better check it out!" Agent NC immediately answered, then headed to the window to check it out.

Rumby followed the Irish secret agent going to the window.

"I can't see anything.." said Rumby.

Agent NC used his binoculars and has found something.

"Well, I do. It looks like there are already military troops attacking, and currently, they are making some nearby structures be destroyed. This is obviously the work of none other than General Militarizer." Agent NC replied.

"Oh. I see. But, wait. Who in the world is General Militarizer?" Rumby asked.

"He's the leader of the super villain team I was telling you. As his alias suggests, he has the power to summon his own military troops, with tanks, war planes and other things for a military war. No more time for chitchat, it's now time to act! Use your powers and skills, go and beat them!" Agent NC answered, then immediately ran fast heading to the troops.

"Right. But, hey? There's four of them, right? How am I supposed to beat them all? I'm just one!" Rumby replied.

"There's also four of you with superpowers I know here in United Kingdom. Those three others would be dealing with the other three villains. Oh, and by the way, those other three are also teenagers like you, but two of them are sixteen and one is only fifteen. You are older than all of them." said Agent NC.

"Wait. Others? Who are they? What are their superpowers? And where?" Rumby asked.

"You will know them later. You know what? You ask a lot of questions. I just told you, we must act now, and we have no more time for chitchat. Less talk, more action!" Agent NC answered, then ran even faster.

"Oh. Right!" Rumby said, then also ran faster.

They continued running, getting out of the castle, until they reached the troops.

Rumby prepared his sword and shield. Agent NC prepared his guns.

Rumby immediately attacked. He used his sword and shield to beat a lot of troops, with full stamina, and with all his best. Agent NC assisted him, using a sniper rifle.

The troops fired guns on him, but he was able to evade most of it, and his armored body was durable enough for the shots to be able to kill him. After having enough charge, he started blasting light from his body, which hit them all, giving a great opportunity for him and Agent NC to beat them all.

Meanwhile, on the eastern part of London, there lived a sixteen year old boy who is very intelligent, becoming a young scientist and engineer of his own, inventing things for himself and giving himself superpowers out of his intellectual abilities. He is of half-English and half-Irish descent,

His name is Calum Necrolie Portendorfer. His father was a very great English engineer, while his mother was a very great Irish scientist. Both of them are already dead, killed by criminals. Necrolie promised to himself that he will avenge his parents and fulfill the dream they have for him. He made a lot of inventions and by accident, had put a device inside his brain by a risky experiment, which gave him technological superpowers. Starting that, he now had a reason to try fighting crime in London. He has stopped criminals a few times already, with nobody noticing - yet.

Necrolie and his family were originally in North Ireland, but after his parents' deaths, Necrolie himself moved into their secondary house in London, where he started living alone for a while.

He immediately senses an attack nearby.

"What the heck is that?" he said, then tried to discover what is with the sounds he is hearing.

He saw energy waves from the sky, exploding on the ground. He immediately activated the jetpack on his back, then from the window, he flew already. He also had his shades on his eyes, as protection for the flight.

He flew higher, and finally saw Professor Aluminum.

"Oh my gizmo! Is that a..man? And his body..technological? Wow. His technology is better than my Necro-logy! But that doesn't matter now. What matters is stopping him from causing more destruction!" Necrolie reacted upon seeing the super villain, then prepared to fight.

On the other hand, there is a third boy in United Kingdom who has superpowers. He is from Cardiff, Wales. His name is Gareth Pollux Edevane.

He has the incredible superpower of super strength. As he gets angrier, he gets stronger and the rage can make his body heat up. He also can fly. He gave himself the alias "Dragon Wrestler". He got his powers on the day his parents were killed by criminals. Instead of killing him like what they did to his parents, they just threw him very far away. Gareth found himself in a dark, mysterious, private, undiscovered, strange and suffocated area. He immediately got suffocated, due to the mysterious air around the place. However, the air that struck him isn't really a poisonous air, it was a strange air that gave him his superpowers. He woke up knowing that he has superpowers already, surprised that he was alive, and remembered that he still has unfinished business with some criminals who killed his parents. He hunted those criminals and immediately killed them with his superpowers. From then on, he lived alone, privately, in pain and agony after what happened to his parents. But aside from that, he was also very livid at criminals. He realized that the superpowers given to him is the call for him to stop criminals and avoid what happened to him to happen to others.

Gareth has always been a grumpy boy, but after what happened to his parents, he became even grumpier. He is badder than usual, but his badness is for the goodness of all, since he is trying to stop crime on his own. However, he keeps his identity secret, keeping a very low-profile, even while he is fighting crime.

He was watching a WWE match in his television, when the news suddenly flashed.

"Damn! My favorite wrestler is about to make his signature move that will make him win already! I hate this flash news!" he exclaimed, and started heating up his fists in anger.

He may have been anxious, but he was suddenly astounded by what he saw in the news. He stopped his fists from heating up and became serious as he listened.

"Good morning, Wales. This is Jeickov Driscoll, your resident Welsh Flash reporter. I am in rush to report that..well, I'll be straight to the point, because I'm getting affected by it anyway, as well. WE ARE UNDER ATTACK! I repeat, WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!!! You are advised to stay away from Cardiff for a while, everybody. To all those in Cardiff, please beware of a vehicle monster, ah..I don't know, he seems human too, who can turn himself into vehicles and destroy snything, which he is doing now! So, please..people in Cardiff, beware, be careful, he's coming for us! Ah! He's here! Bye, everybody!" the reporter said in the Welsh Flash news, but immediately stopped the news.

"Um. A vehicle shapeshifting monster, who is actually a man as well? Whoa! Wicked! I'm so so interested in taking him down! Finally, something not boring aside from watching wrestling!" Gareth said after watching the news, then flew high, searching for Vehicle Shifter.

And last, the fourth boy in United Kingdom who has superpowers is from Edinburg, Scotland. His name is Zorb Elton MacQuoid, who calls himself "Breakneck". He chose the alias "Breakneck" because of his incredible super speed. He is super fast, probably the fastest particle on Earth, even faster than both light and sound.

Zorb's story is just like Rumby's, Necrolie's and Gareth's. He lost his parents. Yet, however, like Necrolie and Gareth, he lost his parents only recently, unlike Rumby, who grew up and get used to living without his parents. His parents died at the time he got his breakneck superpowers. A mysterious giant rock from space hit him and his parents while they are camping in a forest just themselves. His parents didn't survive, failed to evade, but Zorb himself was able to evade. He was extremely stunned and saddened by what happened, and tried to learn about the mysterious rock, then tried to break it, which only results in him getting trapped inside it, and soon gaining his own superpowers. From that event, he lived alone for a while, heavily mourning his loss, with only his new superpowers making him happy, somehow, sometimes.

Zorb speaks through a Scottish accent.

Now, Laser Man flew very fast, boosted by enough laser energy, to go super fast, reaching Scotland immediately. Zorb, on the other hand, was just playing a video game in his iPad, not yet knowing anything.

"Oh. man! I wanna kill that player who keeps killing me! Hahahahahaha, mwahahahaha, bwahahaha! I'm gonna take him down, by a manhunt! Im'ma go sneak in, hide in the shadows to be successful! He's very funny, though!" Zorb said, upon playing his video game, which is a combat game of players fighting and killing each other. In this case, Zorb is playing a free-for-all match, which means that there are no allies, only himself, and he must fight everyone, who are all his enemies.

After respawning and being alive in the game again, Zorb used the best of his gaming skills, he killed all of the players, with only the second strongest to him remaining. He is now very dangerous and unstoppable in the battlefield. The other players, excluding the only player he hasn't fought or killed yet, respawned, with only some of them willing to go near Zorb and try to kill him. All of them failed, and afterwards, they just preferred to kill each other and stay away from Zorb. Zorb took the chance of seeing all of them killing each other, into killing them all through explosives. Half of the players got killed by the other half, but when he threw two grenades, the other half are already killed as well.

"Booya-cowa-booya, kasha-bunga, kasha-bunga, cowa! You can't beat me, ya'll! Ya'll are weaklings to count!" Zorb triumphed.

However, Zorb was looking for somebody else; it was the second strongest enemy that has been killing him repeatedly a while ago. He is nowhere to be found, so he decided to look for him, wherever he is. While the others continued killing each other, and took the chance to do it away from Zorb, Zorb himself went on a manhunt to look for the other player who went missing.

A while ago, Zorb have paused the game for a while, and changed his player's class, becoming the "Recon" class, a stealthy class that can see where the enemies are in the mini-map, instead of being in the "Assault" class. Now, he used the "Reveal" special skills of Recons, for him to see where the other enemy is. He left the others for a while, and looked for the player he is looking for. He followed the trail of where the enemy is in the mini-map.

He followed and followed him, until he finally reached him, without him noticing him. The enemy was using the "Sniper" class, another stealthy class, but of long-ranged fighters who can kill from far and be in the shadows while fighting. The player was sniping at the other players left by Zorb to kill each other. He was able to kill them all, not knowing about Zorb's whereabouts. As a Recon, Zorb is also very stealthy, but is a close-ranged fighter, opposite from Snipers. Instead of making noise, he just went close, and clicked the knife button for him to kill the enemy with a knife silently without the player noticing it. He was clicking it already, when the game froze.

"Yo! What just happened? Hahahaha, it just froze! This game is really annoying sometimes." Zorb exclaimed.

He clicked and clicked, until seeing himself getting killed by the player he wanted to kill, by a knife.

Zorb laughed hard at this. "Stupid game. Hahahahaha! Good job at taking the chance to knife me, though, you enemy of mine, hahaha! I'll give it to you, for now. You are also a great player of this game, anyway. I'm just obviously better."

"But still! This guy is really funny, as ever! Now, he's even funnier when he killed me with a knife! I can't stop laughing! Uh, uh, I can't stop the feeling!" he then ridiculed, about the player he was about to kill that killed him instead.

His game then suddenly crashed. He also realized that he no longer has connection to their WiFi.

"Oh! That's why! Now, it makes sense! Um. Right! The lights in the modem are red, which will indicate that I lost signal. But what could have caused it, anyway?!" he reacted on this, then ran fast to the WiFi's modem.

He immediately tried to fix it, only to stop upon immediately seeing laser falling from above.

"Oh, man! Space pizzas! What are those? Lasers? And where from?"

He ran very fast to keep dodging the lasers and hence, every structure on his house becoming falling debris because of the lasers. 

He then decided to go outside and take a check. He finally saw in the sky, Laser Man, attacking,

"Uh-oh. What on Earth is that thing?! I would prefer a vegetable monster more than that!" he said, upon seeing the super villain.

Meanwhile, Rumby Knight and Agent NC have finished all of General Militarizer's troops and forces already.

"They might be too strong for me right now. It is not a good tactic to continue fighting them for now, I have to hide myself for a while, and call for full force, with my other teammates." General Militarizer said to himself, then ran his fastest, to escape.

"Is that the General Militarizer? Because he's esca-" Rumby Knight asked, but was immediately interrupted.

"Yeah, he is, after him! Now!" Agent NC immediately answered.

The two ran after General Militarizer, and while running, shot him with light and bullets.

General Militarizer was fast and excellent enough to dodge their shots. He summoned a jet for himself, rode on it, while it is automatically flying without a pilot. He made it go very fast and really farther.

He then called his teammates, using their calling devices, starting with Professor Aluminum.

"Hey, Kington! I need your help! You are the closest one, since you are also here in London. I cannot make a successful destruction here in Buckingham Palace, and you know that this palace is most important to be destroyed, right? I cannot do it because of McHawkins and a kid, a young knight with superpowers who were stopping my forces! I need somebody, it is good enough. Do you read me? Can you go here and aid me?" General Militarizer said to Professor Aluminum.

"Aye, Barton, I hear you. Unfortunately, I can't help you right now. I'm, ah - busy dealing things with a technologically-powered teenager geeky boy who's trying to stop me, with an extremely unique technology he has that was invented by him with his own intellect. I'm having a hard time, but I'm still trying to defeat him, prove my technology is better, and be successful here. I'm really sorry, okay? Now, I really need to be out now, I wanna focus here first, this kid is so annoying with his technology. Mine is way better than his!" Professor Aluminum answered.

Now, going to Professor Aluminum's scene, he was fighting Necrolie, in the sky.

"Oh, you little boy! My technology is better than yours! Bring it on!!!" Professor Aluminum boasted, then used sonic waves this time.

"Oh yeah?! We'll see about that! My Necro-logy has shields, too! I'll be resistant to your energy waves, so you have to destroy my shield completely first!" Necrolie replied, then granted himself shields, through his technology.

Professor Aluminum become ballistic in furiousness. He made energy waves from his aluminum armor explode, hitting Necrolie.

"AH!!!" Necrolie exclaimed, while falling down on the floor, with his shield completely destroyed and he himself getting hurt a little.

"Now, you pay! You will pay me, for interfering and trying to stop me from our plans, little boy!" 

Necrolie suddenly smirked.

"Yeah, sure. Here's my payment. They are in these tentacles!" Necrolie replied, then deployed tentacles in his body, extended it and used it to get inside Professor Aluminum's body.

Professor Aluminum immediately got electrocuted by the touch of the tentsckes in his body. "AH!!!" he exclaimed.

Necrolie focused a lot and electrocuted Professor Aluminum even more, making his armor slowly weakened and dismantled from his body.

"Oh..you little boy! When I get my hands on you soon, mark my words, you won't like it, and it might be the last time you'll ever live here in your beloved world! Your Necro-logy won't be shared for the future generations, unlike mine!" Professor Aluminum muttered.

"Okay, then. Just keep trying to, I won't mind it. I'll be also keep trying to save and protect my world from evil like you, so I hope you won't mind it as well. We're in equal terms here." Necrolie replied.

Meanwhile, in Cardiff, Gareth and Vehicle Shifter were fighting already. Vehicle Shifter have transformed into a helicopter for the fight.

"Hey, kiddo! Stop trying to defeat me, I'm definitely stronger than you, alright?! I hope you know that!" Vehicle Shifter said to Gareth.

"Yeah, but I also hope that you know how I AM ANGRY RIGHT NOW AND DESPERATE TO DESTROY YOU!!! PREPARE TO FEEL THE MIGHTY WRATH, OF THE DRAGON WRESTLER!!!" Gareth angrily replied, then immediately flew, and tried to smash Vehicle Shifter.

However, Vehicle Shifter was able to dodge the smash. Gareth, known as Dragon Wrestler became even angrier, tried to smash the villain again, and now, became successful.

The helicopter body of Vehicle Shifter broke, and he was forced to transform into another vehicle. He now became an airplane, but Dragon Wrestler, who is in full rage was able to destroy him immediately by one, angry punch of his raging fist.

"You are really strong! But that doesn't mean I'm not stronger! And I'm not just stronger but also smarter!" said Vehicle Shifter.

Vehicle Shifter turned into a toy airplane, and landed on Dragon Wrestler immediately. Before Dragon Wrestler could get him away, he immediately shifted into a big vehicle with a system of active and harmful electricity on its roof, which have given Dragon Wrestler some pain, stunned him, and caused him to fall.

Vehicle Shifter continued hitting and hitting him in the head, which electrocutes and stuns him, until making him hit the ground.

Dragon Wrestler felt dizzy and really stunned due to the pain, but he didn't gave up. While Vehicle Shifter continued hitting him on the ground with electricity, he boosted himself his full rage and was able to fight back. He unleashed the strongest of his rage he was able to kick Vehicle Shifter, sending him flying and far away.

Dragon Wrestler flew going to him, and smashed him multiple times with all his strongest.

Vehicle Shifter's vehicle body got destroyed already, so he just shifted into a new vehicle body. He keeps shifting into different vehicle bodies, but Dragon Wrestler keeps smashing and destroying him in his vehicle bodies. This process between them keeps repeating and repeating.

In Edinburgh, Laser Man just continued destroying the place using his lasers. Zorb, or Breakneck, as for his superhero alias, followed Laser Man along the way with his super speed.

"Okay. Here's the thing. There is this creature in the sky, with a body of laser. Well, he's very powerful, and may not seem like a man. Who knows? Um, think, think, Breakneck, think! Maybe he's a..monster? A laser monster? But, no, wait! If I look closer to him, he seems like a man! Is he like a..half-laser monster, and half-man, that's why? Oh, man, that's dumb! Maybe he's a ghost! Maybe, ghosts right now have a different color and could be powered now. Uh, that's dumber, Breakie! How could ghosts have the power of laser? These laser powers thingy is only about and from science only, so - OH. That's why. Now, it makes sense. Hehehehe, Breakneck, hehehehe! It's just science. Why do I have to start things with the use of the dumb side in my mind, instead of the smarter side, which always comes late, at the end only! Oh, I'm such an idiot!" Breakneck said, while running very fast, following Laser Man.

"Okay, should I fight him? He's made up of laser, and that's too hot! I'll be like, 'EEW'! Wait a second, why 'EEW'? It's laser, a hot thingy, not a gross thingy! Um, ah. How should I fight him, anyway? I might immediately get burned! Wait, wait. I remember! My powers can form winds, which may be able to fight it! Really? How are you sure that it will work, Breakie boy? Oh, whatever, let's just try!"

Breakneck ran very fast continuously in one, big circle. He continued doing and doing this, until, he was able to make himself a strong wind. He madd himself reach Laser Man. He did his best and made the strongest of his force, enough to crash Laser Man. With two, big, charged punches from his fists, assisted with two charged kicks as well, filled with strong winds from his body, he was able to crash Laser Man. Laser Man fell on the ground.

Breakneck immediately punched Laser Man multiple times, very quickly with his powers. This have caused Laser Man to be stunned.

However, Laser Man have immediately bursted his rage, he made laser explode in Breakneck's area.

"Oh! You missed! Hahahaha!" Breakneck, who immediately dodged the laser explosion with his speed, exclaimed.

"Foolish youngster! Ya' think ya' can succeed against me? I don't care how fast ya' are, I'm good enough to defeat ya'!" Laser Man told Breakneck, with his British accent being obvious.

"Whoa, man! Your British accent and manner of speaking itself is reminding me of a guy, a super villain from a cartoon show I always watch in TV! You know what, man? You should stop for a while right now and try to watch it. I think it is showing right now, so let's try taking time to see it, coz' you might see yourself there, when you see that character, that main antagonist in the show! Oh! And you know what? That villain in that show had a change of heart in the end, he's not bad anymore, only the other villains, he became a hero! Maybe if you continue watching the show, you'll be inspired, you'll have a change of heart as well! Right? Do you even watch TV?" Breakneck replied childishly.

Laser Man stopped for a while. He had a moment to shake his head and give himself a facepalm for a while in annoyance to Zorb's childish manner.

"You know what, youngstah? I can't answer those questions of yus' and I don't have time for it, either. Also, Im'ma ask you somethin'! Have you ever been in a fight befur'? Coz' in fights, there aren't really much talks like these. And therefur', I don't think ya' will be a fighter at all. Seriously." Laser Man said, then immediately blasted laser balls on Breakneck.

Breakneck was able to dodge all of the laser balls.

"Okay. I'll be sure to keep that in mind. Thank you, anyway." Breakneck replied.

The next thing he did is he ran very fast around Laser Man. He did this continuously with all his best. Due to the wind and force he is charging, Laser Man wasn't able to escape him in spite of all his efforts.

Breakneck continued running around Laser Man multiple times relentlessly, until Laser Man began losing energy, and the laser from his body is slowly getting drained.

Through the computer on his jet, General Militarizer watched as all of these are happening to his three teammates. He was enraged to see Professor Aluminum getting defeated by the tactic of attacking the man inside the armor instead of the armor itself first, Vehicle Shifter getting overpowered by Dragon Wrestler, and Laser Man getting drained by Breakneck.

"Argh! You kids! You copycats! It's only us who should have superpowers! Stop making us fail our plans! AH!!!" General Militarizer angrily said, about this.

He stopped for a while to think. Afterwards, an idea have popped up in his brain already.

"Okay. I guess, I have to stop these kids from giving even more damage to my teammates first. That will be for now. We'll get our revenge on them as well as our retry of dominating he world next time." he said, about his idea.
