"Why did you guys have to go for the kissing booth? There will be girls and boys kissing you," Caleb said with a pout from beside Zayn, making him look away from Sam.
Zayn chuckled, "We are getting paid for it, babe. The highest-earning booth gets a trophy. And as the defending champions, the swimming club gotta win it this year too."
Caleb curled his lip in a frown, "The recreation booth is gonna bang the trophy this time and I am gonna rub it in your face for the entire year!" He stuck out his tongue to diss his boyfriend.
"No baby," Zayn kissed him on the cheek, removing his hand from his boyfriend's slim shoulder, "The kissing booth will bang it for sure." He walked away but not before slapping Caleb's ass, which earned him quite an earful of curse words.
Sam decided to leave them be with their sweet banter and made his escape because what could be more annoying than seeing a couple flirt?
Ew. Gross.
His salty single ass had a limit to tolerate the lovey-dovey stuff anymore. However, secretly he too wished to have something like Caleb and Zayn.
All of a sudden a cutie's smile flashed before his eyes.
And there came Noah, barging in and invaded his thoughts. Heavenly looks with dark, smooth skin and blue eyes. The boy had the most gorgeous smile, that paired with his swimmer's physique and a friendly vibe.
Noah Smith was the campus heartthrob. Everyone loved him. He looked exceptional even among those who were visually gifted. But Sam knew there was much more to him than just his dashing looks.
He could tell Noah to be a genuinely good guy when he had helped him carry the books from the library while he was on his library duty or when he willingly gave up his favourite jacket to Natasha to cover up the period stain on her skirt or when he adopted the cute little puppy near the school when it's mother died in a road traffic accident.
Noah was a sweetheart and that added to his superficial charms, making him so fucking lovable. Oh, how Sam adored him! He could just think about Noah all day and never get tired!
However, with thinking about Noah came loving Noah and with loving Noah came never confessing to him. Because how could he even say yes to someone like Sam?
The kid who thought of himself as a hopeless, worthless coward; who didn't even love himself, how was 'the' Noah Smith supposed to ever love him? Even if Sam did man up enough courage to confess, he was likely to be politely rejected like every other girl and a few boys that had confessed to Noah till now.
Sam wished how he could have at least 1% of the courage those people who confessed to him had. Unlike them, he was a coward.
Not that it mattered anymore. Noah Smith was about to become history when Sam would find his new fated boyfriend.
