Sans and the others are now back in Ebott, as Tails began to try and track down the Chaos Emeralds before Eggman could get his hands on them. At the same time, team RWBY and JNPR are preparing to against Eggman and his robots, should they ever come, and Weiss is teaming with Winter to help perfect her Semblance, along with their Summoning.

Not only that...while Sans was inside of the Atlas Base, he was able to get some materials and tools that is used to upgrade weapons. When he got his hands on it, he upgraded the equipment for his girlfriends, Ruby and Yang, and for his friends, Team JNPR, and Tails was able to help him with the upgrading, along with Alphys. For Crescent Rose, he added a new trigger to where she pulls it, and the blade turns at 180 degrees, so that she can attack at many sides. For Ember Celica, she upgraded them with explosive grenades and much more powerful recoil in order to cause way more damage when shooting.

And Jaune, he upgraded his shield so that it now has Hardlight that can spread across it, to widen its defense, as well as gravity dust that can pushed anything back if they ever hit the shield. He also gave him some Disc Grenades to make a force field made of hardlight, in case he really needs to use it.

Pyrrha had the same upgrade that Jaune had with the shield, but her scope now has a laser target on it, helping her shoot far better. Also, the Hardlight on the shield also can spin fast, acting like a buzzsaw of death.

For Nora's weapon, Magnhild, the upgrade that he did was to make sure that she rides on it like it is a vehicle by propelling pink smoke, as well as having it charge electricity on its own accord. So Nora does not need to use her Semblance in order to empower her hammer this time, and now can use the upgrades from Atlas.

Finally, for Ren's upgrade, he made the blades underneath the barrel of StormFlower extendable grappling hooks. Now thanks to that he is given far more mobility, as well as being able to use it in order to ensnare a person at the relics.

For Gambol Shroud and Myrtenaster, all Sans and Tails have done, was give them both an upgrade in making them both far more durable than before, as well as increasing their sharpness and piercing power. Now, the enemies are going to have a very difficult time trying to cut the weapons in half, if possible.

With these upgrades given, they are now training a bit more harder in order to perfect their fighting style even more, as it requires way more movement than ever. Thankfully...they are training as much as they could. But even so, Sans has no idea how much they can do. Luckily, Leone and Akame, who held back when they do training, start to use more of their techniques, and these ones are far more demanding in movement and reactionary timing, in order for the group to help with the upgrades that they  have.

Inside of the forest...

Sans and Sonic are waking together, as they began to explore the forest that they are in right now. A Chaos Emerald had landed around here, and not they are going to do whatever they found to find it.

"Ruby, Yang, have you found anything yet?"

Sans spoke out through his earpiece, as Ruby and Yang spoke back to him.

"No, we haven't found anything just yet."

Yang spoke out, as Ruby spoke back to Sans.

"We're still looking, Sans."

Sans sighed, as clearly, this is going to be way tougher than he realized.

"Dang it. This is going to be way more tougher than expected. Okay, just...keep on searching. The Emerald should be around here somewhere."

"Okay."

"Got it."

Ruby and Yang spoke out, before he turns to Sonic, and he spoke out to him.

"Was it always a pain, just to try and find the Emeralds?"

Sonic nodded, as he than spoke out.

"Yeah, it really is a pain. Whenever I am finished using them, they always scatter across different parts of the planet, and me and ,y friends have to go through a long journey just to try and get them back."

Sans sighed, as he held his hands to his face, clearly stressed out by the fact to that they had to do this.

"Why is it that the Emeralds can't stay in one region, one continent of the planet anyway?"

He than pounds his fist to his forehead, as clearly, this is not what he wanted to do. So the fact that he needs to do this is kind of an annoying thing for him to do, going around the whole world, and it is all just to find 7 small, yet extremely powerful Emeralds. Clearly, this is the worst day of Sans' time. As he looks fine for a bit, he decides to contact Amy and Tails, as they are here on the mission as well. But oddly...

"Huh?"

Sans spoke out, sounding very confused at what is going wrong. For some unknown reason, they are not able to respond back, despite them both having earpieces.

"Huh? What in the..."

Sans spoke out, as he sounded very shocked and very confused at what is happening.

"What's wrong, Sans?"

Sonic spoke out, as Sans spoke back.

"For some unknown reason, I can't contact both Amy or Tails."

Now Sonic began to look confused himself.

"What? No, they can't be! I'll try to contact them on the earpiece that I have. Hang on."

He than pressed his Earpiece to see if he can get anything out of them. But...just like with Sans, he cannot contact them for some reason. It's as though they had lost their earpieces.

"What in the world? What's going on?!"

Sonic spoke out, as Sans looks down, very unnerved at what had just happened.

"I don't know. Something is seriously going wrong."

Sans than checked...and saw that Tails, Amy, and Team JNPR are offline.

"Oh no..."

Sonic looked at Sans, and he seemed very scared about something.

"What's wrong?"

Sans looked at Sonic with a form of fear in his voice.

"Amy and Tails are not the only ones that are now offline. Team JNPR. They are offline as well!!"

Sonic's eyes widened as he spoke out, shocked.

"Oh no! Who could have done this to them, anyway?!"

Sans looked down, very frustrated and confused at what is happening. He does not know why or how they are being intercepted, as he does not know what is going on. As he said that, Sans than sensed something from behind. Or rather...someone. He looks up...and Sonic notices his expression.

"Sand, something wrong buddy...other than what had happened to our fiends?"

Sans than turns to Sonic, as he than spoke out to him.

"We're not alone. Someone is there with us, and they are right behind us."

Sonic eventually noticed and turn to see who it is that is behind the both of them. And it is someone that Sonic was not expecting to see, but believed to be on Remnant as well.

An unknown humanoid entity appeared behind Sonic and Sans. He is red with a white crescent shape in his chest, resembling a moon of some kind, with purple eyes, and has long dreadlocks that has resemblance to long hair. He is wearing gloves that has spikes on his fists, with him having green cuffs in his shoes, as well as metal plaiting on the top of the shoes themselves.

'This must be Knuckles. And he does not look too happy to see the both of us.'

Sans thought out to himself, as he than presses his finger onto the earpiece, in order to speak to Yang and Atla.

"Yang, Atla, you there?"

"We hear you, Sans."

Atla spoke out, as Yang than spoke out as well.

"What is it?"

Sans spoke out.

"Good news is, we found Knuckles, or rather...Knuckles found is. Bad news, he does not look like he is very friendly. So...can you please come here to me and Sonic's position in order to help deal with him?"

Atla than answers first.

"Of course, I will come to wherever you are, Sans."

Yang than took the turn to also speak out.

"Hell yeah!! I'll come to you, and I'll get to show Knuckles who is stronger than the both of us."

Sans sighed, as he pinched his nose, but does not talk back. He than looks up and spoke out.

"Hey, you're Knuckles, right?"

No answer...Knuckles just kept looking, and Sans spoke out.

"I'm gonna take that as a yes."

He than walked forward and spoke out.

"Why did you decide to come to us?"

This time, Knuckles began to speak, though he sounded rough and aggressive, and Sans could tell that he is being hostile to both himself, and his friend, Sonic.

"You both had stolen the emeralds. Give them back right now."

Sans looked confused, as he than spoke out.

"Stole? What do you mean by stole? I never stolen anything, you fool."

Knuckles than shouted out.

"I'm not here to listen to your lies, and now hand them over."

Sans looked a bit surprised, and a bit offended, as he than smiled, and closed his eyes.

"Y'know, pal..."

He than opened his eyes, and they became as black as darkness. This made Knuckles jump back, both stunned and slightly frightened at what he is seeing. It is as though he is staring down into the deep, dark abyss itself.

"It wouldn't hurt to ask nicely."

Sans spoke out in a demonic tone, as he stares at Knuckles creepily. This made Knuckles sweat at the sight. But he faces that fear and spoke.

"I don't care how creepy you act, pal!! I will get them back, no matter what."

Sonic than took the time to mock Knuckles and spoke our.

"Heh. Man, you braver than I realize, for someone who's brain is slower than his feet."

Sans blinks, and Knuckles now looked way more enraged than before.

"Alright, that's it!!"

He than took a stance and charged at Sonic. But Sonic and Sans than dodged out of the way. Knuckles only hit the rock, but that is it. He than tries to hit Sonic a bunch of times, but Sonic got out of the way. He than tried to make another him, and this time, it is Sonic that does the counterattack. He tries to land a kick on Knuckles, but Knuckles got out of the way. But than, Knuckles began to be lifted up into the air, and Knuckles look to see Sans was the one doing it. His left eye glowing, before Sans slams Knuckles into the ground. Of course, Sans is not sure why he claimed that they stole the emeralds.  Hr obviously, someone must have told Knuckles a lie, and he is believing in it.

Knuckles than stood up, and began to chase Sonic and Sans at the same time. Sonic than runs up a cliff, and Sans flies up, whine Knuckles climbs up after them.

Sonic than reached the top of the cliff, and ran up a tree, as he stood at the top.

"Huh, what a nice view to be at!"

He said, as he puts his hands above his eyes. But Knuckles is not a person who is into views, and began to lift the tree that Sonic is on top of, before swinging it to launch Sonic off. But Sans was able to catch him, and safely land him back on the ground.

"Thanks, Sans."

Sans nodded and spoke out.

"You're welcome. Not so welcome for Knuckles!! Run for it!!!"

Sans spoke out, as Knuckles began to use his fist to knock down the trees in order to pin both Sans and Sonic down beneath it. But Sans and Sonic continue to get out of the way and run, as they dodge and evaded and jumped away from the tree as much as they can. But that only made Knuckles a bit more madder than before, and far more determined to get them.

Knuckles continues to punches the forest with everything he's got, creating a wave of knocked down trees in order to make it difficult for the blue duo to flee.

But so far, both continue to get out of the way. Sonic lands on a log, but a tree lands on the log, and Sonic got launched into the air. But this must have been what Sonic would have wanted, because he is still smiling, as if he had achieved something that he wanted. He even goes down a tree, and uses his spin dash to charge into Knuckles, who is knocking down another tree. But Knuckles used his strength to hold Sonic back, and prevented him from hitting Knuckles himself.

"Ghhhhhh..."

Knuckles strained, as he tries to push Sonic back. So that he can send him flying away, he done with it. But Sonic is pushing so much force into his spin attack that it pushes both himself and knuckles through a tree that Knuckles had toppled down, and...the tree was blocking the fact that...they now complete over a cliff.

Sonic looks down, and he only had one thing to say.

"...Uh oh."

Than, both Sonic and Knuckles began to roll down, as they looked at each other with fierce irritation in their eyes, before going down a stream.

"Aghhh nononononono!!! I hate water!!!"

Sonic spoke out, as he began to splash the water in a panic, only for Sans to spoke out.

"You do know that you're sitting on the water, right?"

Sonic stopped and looked down, and to his embarrassment, the water in so low.

"Oh...oops."

He than jumped onto the rocky land, and gets ready to fight against Knuckles, only for Sans to put a hand in front of Sonic, who noticed.

"What are you doing?"

Sonic spoke out, as Sans spoke back

"Hey, Sonic. Mind if I can take care of hothead?"

Sans spoke out to Sonic. And needless to say, Knuckles doesn't like being called that.

"WHO ARE YOU CALLING HOTHEAD??!!!!"

Knuckles shouted out, as Sans spoke out.

"Pal. You are just proving my point, y'know."

This made Knuckles angry, as he charges towards Sans and attempts to punch him at the head.

But Sans moves out of the way, and trips Knuckles, before he spoke out to him.

"You sacrificed your brains for your brawn. You're gonna have a bad time."

Knuckles momentarily stopped for a bit, frightened at the voice again, but he shook his head and gains a tick mark, as he shouted out to Sans.

"SHUT UP!!!!"

He than began to try and punch him a bunch of times. But Sans continues to dodge and counter a punch with a hard kick. And the Crystal Shoes he's wearing actually manage to hurt Knuckles a lot.

"Aaaaaaghhhh!!!"

Knuckles cried out in agony, as he held his fist, and tries to sooth it as much as he could. It's amazing that the spikes on his hands did not break, and instead, are kept intact. Sonic looked surprised, and actually began to laugh, as he than jumps up, runs to Sans, and spoke out.

"Wow, Sans! Your shoes ended up hurting Knuckles, even though he can punch through a bunch of things with his worn bare hands!!! You just have some very, very powerful shoes in order to back up against Knuckles."

Sans looks and smiled at Sonic, as he spoke.

"Well, I made them, Sonic. So sue me, If you can. Besides...you would have a 'Hand' in making them as well."

Sonic, realizing that Sans said a pun, began to laugh out loud, as he spoke out to him.

"Okay, that is actually a good one!! Hahahaha!!!"

Sans smiled, as other than Yang, no one really liked the fact that he make puns. Than, Knuckles began to stand up, and looks at Sans.

"I'm not done with you yet!!"

He than charged at Sans, who than began to dodge again, and this time, he was not as successful, as he tripped backwards, something that Knuckles needed for someone like Sans to do in order to beat him down completely.

"Now I've got you!!"

Knuckles that leaps at Sans...and he almost got him. But...someone else got in the way. Before he can land a punch...someone caught his fist. Knuckles looks to see that...Atla is here. Knuckles is caught by surprise, as he spoke out.

"What in the-"

Before he could finish, Atla suddenly punched Knuckles so hard that he had sent him flying very far. Sonic was surprised, but than he laughs, as he spoke out.

"Okay, that's pretty awesome!!"

Atla turns to Sonic and nodded, as Sans rubs the top of her head.

"Nice one, Atla. You did good."

This made Atla blush, as she 'looks' as Sans with a smile on her face.

BOOM!!!

Rocks scattered everywhere, as the trio turns to see who it is that had made such a sound appear.

Knuckles came back from that extremely hard punch, and needless to say, he is not too happy with the fact that a kid is somehow able to punch Knuckles far. Knuckles looked a bit mad...but than he smirked.

"So...you've got strength. Well...time for me to beat you down!"

Atla took a stance, as she gets ready to fight, when another voice spoke out.

"How about I join in on the fun?"

Suddenly, Yang lands next to Atla, and has a confident smirk present on her own face. Ruby had also arrived with Crescent Rose tightly in her hands, almost as if she is ready to aid her sister in the dir against the red echidna who is attacking both Sonic and Sans at the same time.

Her eyes glow red, as she gets ready to fight off against Knuckles. Since Knuckles relies on brute strength, just as Knuckles likes to rely on, this would be a perfect fir for her, except that Yang had been trained to act much more smarter, instead of fighting more harder, and also...she now has gotten the upgrades of Atlas to aid her in this fight.

"You sure you what to fight against Knuckles here, Yang?"

Yang seems to be excited, as she spoke out.

"Of course I do! Always wanted to fight someone with strength!"

Sans than spoke back.

"Alright. If you say so, Yang! But restrain him, okay?! Don't you even dare kill him!! And Sonic, let's catch up with the others, and help our friends!"

He extended his hand towards Sonic, who grabs it, and they fly to where their friends are at. Ruby also follows, but not before shouting out worlds of encouragement to Yang.

"Beat him down, Yang!! Show him you're stronger than the small red guy!!"

As soon as Ruby left, Yang looks at Knuckles with a smirk on her face, as she takes a stance and gets easy to fight him. Knuckles snarled, as he spoke out to them.

"You both are in my way!! Stay out of this!!"

But Yang than spoke out.

"The 2 people that you attacked are my friends!' And you know what, that enrages me!! If you want me to get out of the way, than you are gonna have to beat me first!!"

Knuckles snarled.

"So be it."

He than charged at Yang, and as soon as he leapt in the air, and tries to punch Yang, Yang reals her own fist back, and tries to punch him, only for their fists to collide, and causing a powerful shockwave which knocked down a bunch of trees. Atla is still holding her ground to prevent herself from falling down.

As soon as the clash between both Yang and Knuckles began, the fight began as well. Yang turns to Atla, as she than spoke to her.

"Atla. I want to take a crack at this guy. Do you mind if you stay out of it?"

Atla steps back and nodded her head

"I'll allow it."

Yang smiled, before looking at Knuckles, and uses Ember Celica to fire bullets at him.

Knuckles, though, got out of the way and began to rush towards Yang. He must be very evasive for someone his size, and must have incredible senses in order to move out of the way and dodge the bullets that are shit from Ember Celica. Even Yang seems to realize what is about to happen, so, she aimed Ember Celica at the ground, use the Explosive Grenade rounds on it, and as soon as she closes Ember Celica...

BOOM!!!

And explosion was made, which created a blanketing effect to block off Knuckle's sight. And when he tried to punch, Yang was not in front of him. No, instead, Yang was behind Knuckles. And as soon as he looked, Yang was already on the move.

She than activated her Semblance, burn, and began to punch the crap out of Knuckles.

Lucky thing, Knuckles is a lot more durable than he lets on, as he took many shots by Ember Celica. He was than sent flying after Yang made one more punch, knocking him down towards the other trees. He than stood up, and held his head with his gloved hands, before standing up, and rushing back towards Yang and Atla at full speed, and surprisingly...he is very fast, and for someone his size, he is very strong, and when he attacks, he attacks ferociously. And surprisingly, for a mobian that relies on strength, he is very fast.

"Yang. It's my turn now."

Atla spoke out, as she began to do combat with Knuckles, who is already attacking very furiously.

Thankfully, Atla is the one that is keeping up with his speed in order to defeat him.

But Knuckles is now no longer holding back, and is punching back at Atla. Their strength is even, their power is nearly matched by the both of them, but it is very difficult to know who it is that is stronger than the both of them.

Atla than tries to land a kick at Knuckles, who than blocked it with his hand, before he launches a punch at Ark, who blocks it by going to a defensive stance.

Atla and Yang will not lose to Knuckles. They will fight in order to protect and keep Sans from failing. And to prove Knuckles who is much stronger.

With Sonic, Sans, and Ruby...

All 3 of the speedsters are rushing towards the last known location of Team JNPR, and as soon as they ran towards that location, as voice all to familiar to Sonic than spoke out.

"Well...it's finally nice to find you, Sonic!!"

Everyone looks up, and saw that Eggman has arrived, and is smiling down at the 3 teenagers.

"...Eggman. So I see you are on Remnant also, huh?"

Sonic spoke out to Eggman. The red doctor smiled, as he spoke out.

"Indeed I am. And it seems you have made some friends as well. Good. Friends for me to crush!!"

Sans than smiled, as he spoke out.

"Yeah, we'll, why don't you try and take us down, Yolkhead!!"

This made Sonic and Ruby laugh, and Eggman looks a little bit ticked off now.

"Hahahaha...nice one, Sans!!"

Sonic spoke out, as Ruby spoke out.

"Hehehehehe...yeah, that was very great timing you did there!!"

Sans smiled, and Eggman looks like he is about to bust an eye, but he than smiled, as he than spoke out.

"Oh, you may laugh now, Sans. But your friends on the other hand, would not say the same thing."

He than pressed a button on a remote, and a large robot came out of nowhere and slammed onto the ground.

"Meet E-47 Pumpty!!"

Eggman said with glee, and it was a massive robot...and inside of it, of the glass part of the robot...was Amy, Tails, and Team JNPR, somehow trapped inside of the machine!!

"You...how dare you trap them like this!!!"

Sans shouted in anger. Sonic than spoke out.

"Guys!!! Are you okay in there??!!!!"

Team JNPR, Amy, and Tails looked and nodded.

"We're not hurt! But we are trying all that we can to get out."

Ruby than than took the turn to shout out to her friends, as she grips Crescent Rose in her hands and gets ready to try and free all of them.

"Don't worry!!! We're gonna get you all out of the giant robot as much as we could!!!"

The robot than began to stomp forward, and Sans has only one thing to say to everyone.

"This is not what I had hoped for our search to be like."
