The Awkward Evo At A Party?

I'm not really a party kind of guy. And admittedly I don't remember much of that night we were there, my brother Iskall my sister Cleo and I. We had snuck out and gone to this epic party.

I drank, maybe half a cup, when I saw this adorable hunched over blond guy all alone. I nudged Iskall, who gave me a look, looked at where I was looking, and then said, "Don't scare him Mumbo."

So off I went! I strutted up to the awkward teen.
I made a comment about how he looked lonely in this corner which earned me a snarky, agitated reply.
I slid into the seat beside him, which seemed to make him a tad uncomfortable.

I acted as if I didn't notice, perhaps too drunk to notice? I was hoping it'd come off that way instead of me being a jerk. I attempted a casual conversation. At some point apparently said something about groovy because he burst into laughter and asked, "who in their right mind says "groove it up"?!"

He had an accent, British I'm pretty sure, it was kind of faint though. If you weren't paying attention you'd miss it. Much like mine.
I joked about not being in the right mind, which I mean, I wasn't really. I was in this half sober half-drunk state that was sending my senses haywire.

He agreed with me, with big chocolate brown eyes glistening. He was sober, no doubt.
"Wanna dance?" I had asked, which was basically the equivalent of "your hot want to join me in a cramped area so we could probably get closer together and not be tense?"

He had agreed. I hadn't thought he'd do that.

I led him to the dancefloor and we danced for a good while. His laughter was everything! It was so cute!
"I don't think I caught your name." He commented.
I twirled him around under my arm, his frail body surprisingly elegant and swift.
"Mumbo." I responded, "and you?"

His eyes met mine and he chuckled out, "will you remember it?"
I nodded, a silent swear that I would. And I would.
"Ok then, Grian!" He responded.

Oh sh-
I did a dance move that got him as far away as I could without letting go of him and without any impulse control I shot him back in towards me and kissed the smaller boy.

I knew exactly who he was. Grian Evolution. Or Grian Evo. Our families don't exactly have the best history with one another.
I should pull away. I know I should. But his lips smelled like cherry and his mouth tasted like chocolate.

I pulled away, finally, when I needed to catch my breath. In the corner of my eye I noticed Iskall and Cloe watching over by the door. A signal for me to stop and leave with them.

I said my farewell and he hummed a small goodbye. He seemed to be in this dazed far off land. And as I walked away I noticed him perfectly weaving through the crowd to the spot he was in before where a girl had passed out. Grian eerily and without hesitation lifted the girl's head up off the bench and laid it back down on his lap.

I tried to wave to him one last time but he just, stared.
Oh no! I broke the cute Evo boy!!!!

"Mumbo. About last night," Iskall trailed off.
"Oh no, please don't!" I begged my year younger brother.
"No no no, you can't get out of it," Iskall teased.
"Get out of what?" Xisuma asked his hands in his pockets.
"You know that party last night....?" Iskall trailed off.

"You went, didn't you." Xisuma sighed.
Iskall laughed nervously and nodded.
"Ok, so, what happened?" Xisuma asked crossing his arms.
"Mumbo kis-" Iskall began teasingly, I shoved my hand over his mouth glaring.
"I said don't!" I growled.

"Hey!" Last night's cutie waved as he passed us.
I winced, why now?!
"How does he know you?" Xisuma immediately shot.
"I didn't know who he was-," I lied a tad.

"Oh! Ohohoho! You did!" Cloe burst into squealing laughter.
"Stoooop!" I wined dropping my hand from Iskall's mouth.
"Mumbo kissed Grian Evo." Iskall immediately said a large devilish grin across his face.
"I didn't know until after!" I lied once more.

"You kissed a stranger?" Xisuma asked, disappointed.
"I was drunk!" I half lied, trying to defend myself.
"You were not!" Cloe didn't back me up.
"Mumbo." Xisuma began, disappointment seeping through his voice.

"I'm sorry!" I wined and Xisuma sighed shaking his head.
"Ok, fine. No one tells mom or dad about this." Xisuma ordered.
"What aren't we telling mom and dad?" Biffa asked.
I yelped and Xisuma glared daggers at Biffa. He raised his hands in defeat and slowly slipped away.

"Mumbo." Xisuma began.
"You're a dead man walking." all three finished.

"Yeah, I know."
