Chapter Nineteen
Song: Into the West (LoTR Soundtrack)
SEEING MY BROTHERS made me realize something. Even though, they can't physically be here with me. I still had them in my heart, and in my memories. They were my life, and I needed to keep them inside. I'll do what I can to keep my necklace, and prayed to the Gods above, that my necklace, and my brothers would stay safe. I wished that they weren't dead, but it's the cycle of life. We die, and we reincarnate into something or someone else. I know how the story went, the scholars in Gan'Dor told me everything. I'm quite religious, but I don't occasionally keep an eye on our traditions most of the time. I had no idea what to do now that I am alone, my face was warm, and my hands were sweating.
There was a few knocks that came from the front door. My heart continued to pound out of anxiety, and my hands also continued to shake. I felt like crying, or screaming, or both even. When I saw my brothers in the first time for awhile... I had no idea that I was wearing magic around my neck. I placed the chest on my couch to keep it out of view before running back towards the front of the house and opened the door.
"Oh my Gods, Eric!" I slung my arms around his neck and gave him a bug squeeze as s stray tear slid down my cheek, as he hugged me back. I looked down and noticed my shortbow was with him in his hand.
"So this is where you lived?" Another voice asked, and I looked up at Chronic and smiled at him. Lilly was with them too, which surprised me. I wouldn't think that she would make it out.
"Yes... it was where my brother's and I lived before everything went to hell..." I said with a little hint of disgust. I didn't direct it at Chronic personally, but with everything that I've been through- I just couldn't hold all of it in. I needed to talk about what happened. "Come on in, please?" I said to the three of them.
"Sure." Eric said with a nod and escorted me back inside. Lilly made her hime right away and sat over by the chest. I was thinking about biting my nails. I didn't want Lilly to play with my chest of gold, as greedy as it sounded. That money was good to get me out of this country and get the bloody hell out of Gan'Dor.
She didn't notice it yet, fortunately.
"Would you like to have a seat?" I asked and gestured to the kitchen and the living room. It was big enough to host a small party. So with three people it wasn't so bad, and I knew them (not well though, partially). Though, I was a little uneasy with trusting Chronic, but there was something about Eric that made me feel connected to him, and I wanted that connection. It's the second most important thing to me, and the main important thing for me was to make sure that the Evil Queen doesn't cast her curse. If it caused us to lose our memories, who knew what other factors she wanted out of my life that she wanted to destroy. I didn't even know what I did to her to make her hate me so much, but then again she's the Evil Queen and so she practically hated everybody.
She ruined weddings, and she ruined happiness, and she ruined a lot of other things too. Like social events, holidays, you name it. She ruined everything. She was just a bloody feckel (bitch).
Eric and Chronic decided to sit at the kitchen table while Lilly was enjoying a good children's book that I've had ever since I was three. Yes, I've had for twenty plus years.
The book was about a thief who went out and wanted to make a living. He wasn't good at everything, and he needed money. So, he decided to steal. First it was the rich, he wanted their money for himself. Though, he had grown wise, and figured that the poor could also use the money and was giving the money to them. He was so good at stealing, that he could slip through any crack and crevice and take whatever he needed. Though, legends said that he had died in the end when he was trying to steal King Henry's Sword of Temptation. The King caught him that night when he was sneaking into the King's personal treasure.
King Henry was an older ruler before the world of Gan'Dor and Antarria. He ruled before the world split into many separate lands. His body wasn't ever recovered, and was lost forever.
"So, what are the plans?" Eric asked the two of us as we sat down. I looked at him and shrugged.
"I'll be straight with you, the Queen wants you back at her castle." Chronic said. I was angry, and flustered. Why? Why should I go back?
"Or what would happen to me?" I asked, "if I didn't go?"
"We could all die, or worse forget who we were." Chronic said in a cautious tone. He was careful, it wasn't like I didn't notice it. My face warmed up, and I looked over at Lilly and contemplated about going or not. Whatever the Queen wanted she was going to get it, and it didn't seem fair. Surely, there was something that she could do to stop the Evil Queen from casting her curse?
Update Notice #1) parts may be slower due to the fact that I'm studying for the ACT. So please be patient with me.
#2) We're going to be getting an official map. It might be awhile since I'm not on the top of the list. Though, I'm very excited for it. Link of the designer will be placed in later.
#3) Please let me know what you guys think I've only gotten a few comments by one person. Not saying that it's bad I just want to hear everyone's thoughts. As I'm writing this book, I've been having a lot of ideas for this series, and I might even give you guys a sneak peek of my next book near the end of this one. That's if I get a lot more views. To do that, I need your guy's support! It would be appreciated highly!!!!!
Last but not least, keep on writing!
