Chapter Three: Queen Zamaria

The hills rolled for miles upon miles and the once fresh, green grass was now dried out and blanketed with patches of snow. Not even magic would be enough to get rid of the natural occurrences of snow. A God's magic was never to be tampered with. They'll get angry.

"So. These Hill Giants..." Chronic began as he and Zamaria were riding on top of their own horses. "They're not going to cooperate will they?"

Zamaria shook her head and turned to face her partner.

"Nope. They would only cooperate if I give the crown to Salaria. That's not going to happen. Instead we're going to deceive them into thinking that the Frost Giants from the East have killed their King and then they'll forget about my kingdom, and then they'll start a war with each other."

"Hmm... knowing that their wisdom is so low they won't know that it was you who killed the Hill Giant King, and since you have access to the Frost Giant's weaponry. You can get away with it." Chronic sighed.

"You don't think it will work?" Zamaria asked while holding a tight grip on her horse.

"Oh, I think it will. You're just missing one thing... the Giants can sense you. They'll know we'll be here." Chronic advised.

"That's why I made these before I went to see you." Zamaria held up two vials of a unique looking potion. The liquid inside had a strange orange/purple glow and the consistency of it looked very thick.

"What's in that?" Asked Chronic.

"Hill Giant blood, and ice from the East. Mixed with Flam berries, and goo from a frost gelatinous cube." Zamaria said with a smile.

"I've taught you well didn't I?" Chronic said with a hardy laugh.

"Learned from one of the best."

"I think we're close to their borders. I felt the shift crossing the borders." Chronic spoke in a part tone, and ocean blue eyes scanned the borderlines of the Hill Giants Homeland.

Hill Giants that border the kingdom of Emsas have very a well detailed ability that guides them when blending into the environment. However, they do not have magic. Because they don't have magic, they can not dispell magic users.

So it's a win for magic users of Normanway.

Since Hill Giants are so capable at being well hidden. They've made things difficult for others to find their home base, it hasn't been touched for decades.

Alas, their are a selected few people who have blatantly discovered its location. However, only one person had lived to tell the tale.

Though, a deal was enforced and Zamaria had to live with her decision. It was only recently when her people have been struggling to produce the upkeep of the Giant's demands.

With her not being able to follow through with the deal these past months, Zamaria resorted to one conclusion. That conclusion being- distract the Hill Giants long enough so that they can kill themselves off during a great battle between the Frost Giants of the East.

It was a justifiable idea.

"We should dump the potions on us now." Zamaria whispered and uncapped the bottle. She handed it to Chronic, and he scooted his mount closer to Zamaria's. He cautiously took the vial, and poured the orange glowing goop all over him. He gagged at the aroma, but forced himself to deal with it.

Zamaria was next, and working with this potion for the last few weeks, Zamaria had grown immune to the aroma of sweaty Hill Giant stench. She was merely fine with it.

Zamaria dismounted her mount, and took her sword. She waved her hand and a could of smoke formed around it, all of a sudden a massive Frost Giant Axe was in her hands, but shrunken down to the Queen's size and she wielded it just fine.

It might've seemed odd to suddenly have a giant axe in her hands, but with magic, anything can happen.

"Since we have the weapon, and the  disruptor. We got the introduction of my plan under way." Zamaria said.

The Queen slapped her mount back towards Emsas. She didn't have enough potion to save the horses. Just enough for two people. It would take her months for Zamaria to get enough materials for one horse. Imagine how long it'll take her for two horses and two humans?!

Fortunately, Zamaria knew where the hidden base was and since she knew. Zamaria teleported the two of them into it, and inside the Chieftain's Quarters.

His room was a massive giant-made cave. Smooth cavernous walls contaminated with mossy stone, and illuminated with glowing pieces of ore infused and randomly placed amongst the room.

The two magic users have been spawned in the center of the room, and we're standing next to a large stone desk covered with bones and skeleton heads. At the east side of the room contained a wall mount of racks that housed all sorts of weapons. Just north of the two humans was the Chieftain. He was sound asleep, snoring- taking his afternoon nap.

No wonder why everything began so silent, where were the other Giants?

It seemed all too easy to Zamaria, and for Chronic... he just wanted to get it done and over with. He really didn't see a need for coming along. Aside from the fact that Zamaria had offered him resources to finish building his magnificent machine. Chronic would be glad to finally finish his invention!

"Now, let's get this over with!" Chronic whispered eagerly to the Queen.

Zamaria nodded, but footsteps were heard from behind, and Zamaria and Chronic hid under the stone desk, that looks like a massive stone table. It was either of the two, Hill Giants weren't known for their architecture.

Two Hill Giants clad in scale-mail armor that would be enough material to make a few roofs for homes stomped inside the Chieftain's room.

The Chieftain stirred, and groggily sat upright and moaned at the two Intruders who were invading his sleep, unaware of the humans under his table.

"What's the mtter' " the Chieftain mumbled. He stood up, and lazily walked towards his table. He picked up a cows rib bone and started to pick his teeth with it.

Hill Giants were quite furry, and pretty bare. They just wore a loin cloth around their genitiles.

Those who were in command only wore a crown made of bones, of the creatures the leaders have killed.

It's a Giant tradition, even before the old ages.

Zamaria was eagerly waiting for the perfect moment to slay the Chieftain, but she needed to do it when the guards were away. There was no way of getting out in time, even with magic when the guards are around. They would have to be alone. However, this was why she asked Chronic to come along, and she was thankful that Chronic had agreed to come along.

Even if it was for his own benefit. Zamaria didn't care. She needed these Hill Giants away!

"Chief Bobo. It's time fr celbration." Giants didn't speak good common either. Their speech was very slurred, and moronic like. It made Zamaria smile every time they say something.

"Goood, goood." Bobo answered. "Time to celbrate Mircals." Bobo said with a hop.

That hop made the two under the table jump in the air. Their moans we're muffled by the loud stomping sounds of a Giant's feet.

Not only were the Giants very intelligent this also caused them to lack creativity.

They've copied festivals and holidays from across the world of Normanway. However, they only have a couple of personal celebrations. Birth, and death of a Giant. That's about it, and while Emsas is celebrating the Festival of Miracles, so will the Hill Giants.

Salaria didn't mind, but Zamaria did.

The princess had no clue what the Hill Giants we're up to. Zamaria was the only one who knew (aside from a few groups of Emsas guards).

"Let go." Bobo said, and the three Hill Giants walked out of the Chieftain's Quarters, and left the humans to their own business, of which they were still unaware of.

From this point on, they'll most likely be focused on eating and celebrating. Celebrating a festival that wasn't even meant for them.

Chronic's ocean blue eyes gazed at Zamaria's with confusion. He arched his brows, and cleared his throat.

"So... what do we do now?"
