Chapter Seven: Salaria and Zamaria

A/N: When Salaria and Zamaria are together I'm hoping for a different kind of technique where I include both characters in the chapter. So these chapters would of course be longer, but told in a continuous third person point of view as always. However, it would detail what Zamaria and Salaria could see, hear, and feel (somewhat).

Salaria and the Great Boomba had appeared at the Queen's Office. Where Zamaria and an old friend of hers who was also a wizard and goes by the name of Chronic was at the office too.

"Don't you know how to use the doors..." Zamaria began at first when she didn't realize that her sister and one of the most famous wizards of all time had entered into her office.

"That's no way to talk to a Master Wizard, Ms. Emsas." The Boomba said with a sly smile and slowly strolled towards a table with papers and other random objects strewn about the table.

Zamaria bowed. Chronic did as well. Chronic knew enough about the Boomba that he would even pay the amount of respect that the Boomba had really deserved.

The entire reason of why he was called The Magnificent Boomba was not only because he was famous for his magical fireworks, but when he sided with the elves against the orcs during the Battle of Dragon Keep, the Boomba had defeated the Bronze Dragon named Mandrel, and had taken over the orcs domain and Mandrels tower.

"You can rise now." The Boomba said with a sly smile ccurving his lips. "If you'd really like me to explain. I can do it again, or Salaria could even tell you." The old man said as he pointed towards the princess and shrugged nervously.

"Salaria. Do tell." Zamaria said with a part smile. She was nervous of what she was about to hear. She didn't understand quite what was going on. At least not yet.

Salaria stepped forward and nodded. "Very well." Salaria sighed, and took a deep breath before she started. "To save you from the darkness that's consuming you. We need to bring you to the Boomba's tower. He has his things there. Hopefully something that we could use to help us. Plus... there's another thing." Salaria said as she looked at the stone tiles beneath her. She wondered if she were ever going to see home again.

"Yes..." Zamaria said with a cautious feel through her tone.

"I have some.magic in me too." Salaria concluded, she slumped her shoulders and rubbed her boots against the floor.

"Mother and father never said anything about us having magic. I discovered mine when I was twelve. That was when I told them I could wield it. But... you?" Zamaria placed her hand on her forehead and shook it with dismay painted over her face. "This can't be true. You must be mistaken?" Zamaria said as she turned and pointed at finger at the old wizard. "You know how skeptical our kingdom is going to be when they'll know that we have magic?" Zamaria asked the Boomba. It was more of a rhetorical question. The old man knew. So he didn't answer. He just glared at the queen.

"This is something that we need to think about-" Chronic began. He decided that he should take over before Zamaria blows a gasket. He gently guided her back and gave her the opportunity to sit down. Zamaria did some breathing exercises as she couldn't believe what she had heard.

The Boomba took a good hard look at everyone in the room. He fully expected something like this to happen. For sure he knew that Zamaria was going to react this way, and he was glad that Salaria had actually confronted to him about this instead the other way around. The old man just sat there and contemplated as everyone processed this information differently.

What the old wizard was shocked about was that Salaria was quiet. She was still looking down at the ground. Lost in deep thought as well. If only the old wizard had the ability to read minds again. He waited until someone else spoke up, but had a feeling that no one else would. Though, Chronic had surprised the Boomba, and resumed the conversation.

"If this means that Zamaria and Salaria could live. I'll disguise myself as one of them if I have to." Chronic said with a smile. He turned over to Zamaria and sat down beside her. He tapped her on the shoulders and Zamaria turned to give the man a hug.

However, this had grabbed Salaria's attention. She was watching as they hugged. It was good to see that Zamaria was dating someone again, and that they were together. However, she was confused as to why she had chosen Chronic over the million of people in Normandy.

"Why did you choose each other?" Salaria asked the two of them. The urge to keep the question behind her tongue was too strong to keep within. Zamaria shrugged. She looked up at her companion.

"I saw peace when we were together." Chronic said. "After the incident, my magic has unlocked some talents and I learned how to be able to see snippets of the future. However, a lot of these snippets had been envisioned as negative. It was rare to actually see a positive vision. That changed until I met Zamaria when I was looking through the market to find stuff for a machine that I was building." Chronic said and planted a soft kiss on Zamarias' lips. Zamaria responded with a kiss in return.

"We've been together ever since, and he somehow knew I had magic, and then he told me that he had some too. Hence he kept himself away from society and mostly stayed at his house outside the walls. He was also taught by the Boomba too. Which was something I didn't know until later when I was still being trained by him years ago." Zamaria turned to face the old wizard.

"Did you know that this was going to happen? You didn't know about what I was doing before did you?" The queen asked him. The Boomba shrugged.

"Did it matter? All we need to focus on now is the future. If we don't control your magic. You could die. It'd probably be best if Chronic even comes along too. Because you all are still learning or have yet to learn your magic. Henceforth, why I need you to come with me. I have a group of performers with me for a reason. They're good at disguises. They can cover for you two when we're gone. However, we need to make sure that you don't tell anyone about this. Because there are other kingdoms out there who want your head Zamaria because of your recent behavior and taking the crown from Salaria. Everyone obviously isn't very happy about it." The Boomba said.

"Well... She didn't take it. I gave it to her. I never wanted the responsibility as Queen. I had other responsibilities that I needed to take care of within the kingdom too. I couldn't take all of it on." Salaria explained.

"No time for explanations. We need to head back to my office and let the others know." The Boomba said with a smile. He waved his hand and the four of them vanished as they re-entered the office.

It was cramped with four people in it. Soon, they left the room and piled into the practice area. So many bright and colorful lights were floating around the large tent, and so much circus equipment was placed in the general areas of the tent. All of The Skipping Beans have conjured to the party of four and bowed respectfully for them.

"Master, whatever is the issue?" One of the men asked. He stretched his long thin arms about as he poked at his elvish looking ears. On the other hand it clearly seemed like he was an elf. Tall, acrobatic, and long hair. All of the characteristics of what an elf could be. However, he didn't seem to be either Zamarias' height or even Salaria's. Plus, he was guy, but the other elves and humans seemed to be like they could play well as Salaria and Zamaria for the time being.

"Johannasin. Hailay. I need you guys to disguise yourselves as these two. Do you think that you could do it?"

"Yes sir!" The two women stepped up and inspected the royalty.

"Oh royalty." The first woman said. "I'm Johannasin." The black haired woman said.

"I'm Hailay." The brunette said. She looked almost exactly like Salaria. It was amazing to see someone who almost looked exactly like herself.

"I'm Zamaria. Queen Zamaria."

"And I'm Princess Salaria. Nice to meet you guys again."

"Missed us already?!" Hailay asked with a smile. "Got any dresses I could wear? Looks like you don't wear any make-up either. Which is going to take a little work, but I can do it. How about you Johannasin?" Hailay asked.

"Seems doable enough. However, I'm going to need Mike's help with the hair." She chuckled.

"Sounds like a plan." The Boomba said with a smile. "Remember Salaria's the one who introduced the events-"

"-I have a journal in my room. I think I wrote what the order of presentation was." Salaria included. "Thank you for doing this. If I didn't find out sooner, chaos was sure to happen sooner or later." Salaria thanked the two with a grateful tone. Chronic was surprisingly quiet.

"I think that we can begin our adventures." Said the old man. "However, I don't have enough magic to get us across the orc borders." Which sounded like it was going to be a problem...

Hopefully you guys liked the transition! Finals are in a couple of days so expect a moderately slower approach with posts. Please don't forget to comment, vote, and follow (if you follow I'll follow back, usually). Constructive criticism is always welcomed and especially when I'm writing with a different technique. :)
