Chapter Nine: Salaria and Zamaria
Zamaria had teleported herself and her sister to the border of Emsas. She had also teleported some horses with them too. Not just any kind of horses. Specially breded horses. Specific to Zamaria and Salaria. Chronic just gets a standard strong breed. It's name was Ember. The stallion was a muscled stallion, and his horse hair was an orange/brown color. The color was a close match to ember itself.
The Elven Wizard had a standard grey stallion. One that matches the wizard's personality. The horses name was known as Dusk. Because it reminded the animal keepers of the night.
Salaria's horse was a grey/white color. It stood tall, and proud to be by her princess' side. Salaria decided to name her Alavira. It sounded like a gorgeous name, and she wanted her future daughter to be named a name like that. However, there was a significance to the name; it regarded to her home school teacher. Who passed due to a life threatening illness. Pretty much natural cause of death, but there was no magic or medicine that was able to help the poor woman. Even when she had a lot of money, a cure wasn't found. Two hundred of Normandy died with the same disease. The
Plethomana Disease. A disease where people had been cursed with too much magic, and had affected them greatly.
Zamarias' horse was a black colored horse. With a shiny white skunk stripe across the top of its body. His hooves also had white scruffy marks on them. His name was Riptide.
Salaria wondered if she had the same problem. She had untapped magic, and it was dangerous enough to get the Boomba invovled. She was still so anxious; because now she was on a journey, an adventure with the Magnificent Boomba. The Magnificent Boomba! It was like a dream come true. Others would serve any deadly quest to be alongside the great wizard.
Normandy's geography was a rich and fertile land. Mixed with forestry, rivers, mountains, and valleys. It's broken down and divided into three major kingdoms that rule each separate part of the region.
It was a risk leaving Emsas, and walking outside of the borders of the kingdom. Only because there are bandits and rebels who do not appreciate Zamaria as much as Salaria did. She was her sister, and sisters needed to stick together. Salaria could have said yes with the crown, but she knew that would hinder the relationship between the two of them. She couldn't have that happen. Zamaria was her family, and family was important to her. She wouldn't have it any other way.
If she were cursed, and had to choose between living with a random man or Zamaria who could maybe be transformed into a dog or something, she'd choose that. Even if it meant she'll forget her memories until the curse would break.
Zamaria could say she felt the same way, but Salaria is unsure of how Zamaria feels about her. The way she behaves, and the way she isolates herself. Especially now, doing a lot of business as queen. It felt like Zamaria was pulling away from the relationship. Salaria wondered if her sister was doing it on purpose. Or if she was even aware that Zamaria could be possibly hurting Salaria.
Now, she was close to her. She could talk to her.
"So.." Salaria began as she and Alavira trotted beside Zamaria and Riptide. Chronic and The Magnificent Boomba we're upfront. Chatting about wizard stuff, and adventures.
"-Have you been avoiding me lately?" Salaria asked. Her gaze was soft, but concerning to Zamaria. She turned and furrowed her brows.
"No. Why do you ask?" Zamaria shrugged it off, wondering why she was asking such an insane question.
"I just thought that maybe I did something wrong..." Salaria started. Zamaria raised her hand facing up to interrupt her sister before she spoke anymore.
"No. It's not you. There's a problem with Normandy. One that I can't solve." Zamaria said truthfully. She was being morally honest. Salaria could read the truth behind her sisters' eyes.
"What's that problem?" Salaria asked.
"Giants..." Zamaria mumbled.
"The Hill Giants?" She turned her head in a curious manner and arched a brow. "They can't be trouble?" She contemplated a bit. "What sort of problem?"
"It's not them directly, but it's the Frost Giants from the East. They're threatening to freeze our lands..." She looked to her sister after looking away from shame and guilt. She was unsure how her sister was going to react, but hoped she understood why she wasn't around much. She thought how badly it could've gone if she had killed the Cheif Bobo.
She wondered if she did the right thing?

Sorry for the long wait guys. Just going through a rough time at the moment. Also apologize for such a less dramatic chapter. I'm slowly working up the development between the characters as I move forward with this book. I'm super glad that I'm in the triple digits with this book, and slowly about to surpass the first version of this book. God... that first version was so bad. For new writers, I have a tip, DO NOT write in first person unless you can truly take the time to capture each and every detail of that character's pov!
Third person is so much better for a beginning writer!
As always, happy writing, and mind your manners!
