Chapter Four: Princess Salaria

The streets of Emsas were busy.

The Festival of Miracles was going to be the biggest celebration that the Kingdom of Emsas would ever have. Aside from Zamaria's coronation. The Magnificent Boomba and the Skipping Beans were located at Glendale Park. Where the biggest events were held.

To the world, being able to see The Skipping Beans, they were one of the biggest circuses in all of Normanway. It was truly a pleasure to see them once they come to your city.

The last time that Salaria had seen them was when they were a kid, and the Magnificent Boomba used his awesome magic for cool effects whenever The Skipping Beans did their thing.

Salaria looked around as she walked through her beloved city.

The one that her parents wanted her to rule. However, after her parents died, that was when Salaria decided that she could appoint the position to her sister.

Zamaria had been doing her best with her behavior, and she worked as hard as she could. Alas, her magic and her self-righteousness had taken complete control of her. Salaria knew that she would be able to see through the magic that takes control of her.

Zamaria just needed to unlock her true-self.

A few citizens waved to her and said hello. They've even made some conversation to her about the festival. Salaria knew that they were all excited, and this was the second festival that Salaria would be organizing.

She was more than excited to get this festival up and running. She couldn't believe that a year had gone by so fast!

Cool crisp winds blew through the busy city. Salaria was glad to see people hanging decorations, and taking glowing algae from the nearby caves and used them to light up some decorations.

There were so many different types of algae here in Normanway, that there were enough for every color of the spectrum, and more.

There were so much decorations that all of these lights were bright enough to light up her dark and gloomy castle. It would stand out in the middle of the night as the odd building out. Zamaria wished not to decorate it. She felt that it was too "informal" in her opinion and was not "necessary." Just because Salaria gave her the crown didn't mean that Zamaria could just rip the fun about everything.

Footsteps continued to Pace the cracked cobblestone as the princess turned left some, and then right down a few alleys before she reached the Skipping Beans' performing tents.

The city if Emsas had a large open clearing for performances, and Salaria assumed that this open clearing was put here on purpose just for those kind of events.

Their tents we're so big that they could probably house twenty elephants standing within at least one of the tents. However, some of the other tents we're smaller, and more so scattered about the clearing.

Salaria smiled as she had finally found her destination. Her boots crunched the white sparkling snow beneath her. It gleamed against the afternoon sunlight, and Salaria made her way towards the tents. Huddled with her coat and cloak to shield herself from the cool winter winds.

Her brown hair was tucked under her cotton hat, and she bore cotton gloves.

She was walking towards the biggest tent first and hoped that someone would be there; performing, or at least practicing?

Emerald green eyes observed the clearing for any oddities that might be afoot amongst this clearing.

Salaria was always known to be cautious.

Time was slowly ticking by as the princess continued to traverse the snowy clearing towards the tent. She wanted to make sure that everything was going to turn out fine, as she thought about what to say. Her first thought was: "Mr. Magnificent Boomba..." And that was about it. Her mind was blanking, and she really didn't know what to say.

There was a recording of music that could be heard. Circus music. It had a super fast tempo and it fluctuated in volume. It was practically intense. The music was making Salaria's heart race even when she was just walking. There was something that enchanted Salaria about this music, however she was unable to pinpoint what she was feeling, and how she wanted to control that feeling.

It didn't scare her in any way. It made her feel more at home. Even though, she was already at home. This music etched a feeling into Salaria that she felt somewhere far away from home, and she was lost in some other world.

As the princess made her way towards a tent. She was stopped by a force.

"Excuse me ma'am. What are you doing here? These are private grounds...." Emerald green eyes gazed upwards at the tall figure in front of her. There was a man, tall and muscular. He was wearing a set of red and blue spandex suit. A skipping bean with eyes and a smile was sowed onto the front of the shirt. A few golden/yellow lines jutted outwards diagonally making the bean the perfect center piece of the shirt.

Salaria pushed her hair back and scoffed. This man obviously didn't know who Salaria was. However, he did seem to loose his thought, and as Salaria looked up to the taller man. His mouth was dropped, and Salaria stepped back to avoid any spit that the man could possibly drop on her. Or her clothes.

"-I'm so sorry. Princess. I barely recognized the sigils on your jacket. I-I wasn't paying attention. Please forgive me?" The human man cupped both his hands together, and his hazel brown eyes gleamed with regret and his black shaggy hair was combed back. Salaria straightened herself as she took a step back.

"Yes I forgive you. Next time look, please." Salaria said with a forgiving tone in her voice. "If you must know. I'm looking for the Magnificent Boomba. Is he here with you guys this afternoon?" The princess asked, and as she did so her lips were slanted upwards into a slight smile.

She hoped that he was here. Even if he wouldn't be here. She would still search for him.

"No. He's out on a business trip. Won't be back for a few more days. Had something important to take care of while he was in Normanway. We'd barely had enough time so that we could talk as a family." The man's head was down, and for some odd reason... Salaria wondered why the man wasn't freezing his arse off.

"How are you not cold in this weather? It's winter."

The man smiled.

"It's because Boomba enchanted our suits to adapt to any kind of weather conditions. So we can train whenever and wherever we wanted to."

Salaria squealed with excitement. The tall man flinched back and the princess immediately wanted to feel the material. She wasn't completely knowledgeable about magic. She just only knew a few things. However, she did know many other things.

Salaria stepped back and apologized. She was just so excited to observe some of the Boombas' magic in person. She felt so excited now.

The thought about seeing the Magnificent Boomba had to wait. She was excited to know more about The Skipping Beans.

However, this man was handsome. She wanted to know who he was too.

"So... since you know my name already... I'm wondering... what's your name?" Salaria asked. She seemed to look awkward when she was asking. It went as if she was a little kid meeting a whole new different person.

"My name's Baron Bumblewazín. Nice to meet you. Please come inside. We have some refreshments. Courtesy of the Magnificent Boomba himself!"
